No.

But he is starting another project. LOL. This is such a joke.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.msg2929267#msg2929267

I only have very little 4 BTCs in this groupbuy but I hate being messed around with after losing much more in the more favorite and legendary scams in bitcoinland.
Please repay the 4 BTCs to 14tHWRWVmKFJmYP41H7rj1opLA4LL5MsgU and I will finally STFU.

BTW...If anyone interested I am out of hospital and dont need the money that urgently anymore but I still hate being fucked with.

I too have my doubts about the validity of this group buy, but nevertheless you can't ask for a refund unless your assumptions are confirmed.
I'm in for 6 BTC as well.

I would like to know from KNC Miner if Ragin effectively made and paid the orders. If he didn't, it's time to demand a refund, but before that, keep calm.

I so hope we are panicking for nothing.

If not, I hope someone from the group buy can have a knock at his door. Since US law recently proclaimed Bitcoin a real currency, Bitcoin fraud is under US law now.

We know he's from West Hartford, Connecticut and his usernames on other websites (tnguyen628, toms.technology) make me believe his real name is Tom or Thomas Nguyen. A quick search on whitepages.com leaves only 3 possible addresses.

I'm not from the US, so I can't give him a visit, but I'm sure someone else can if this turns out to be a scam. Again, hopefully it doesn't.

I have been going to therapy and I was told not to do anything work related to reduce stress.

I am still laughing my ass off that he started an other project.
That makes this whole depression and family problem thing absolutely unbelievable.

RE: My above post

I feel so stupid for not following my gut instinct on this one and ordering chips from him.

All these links are from the first 4-5 pages of his Avalon chip group buy. Everyone seems to have settled down when JohnK came in to do escrow, which in hindsight is silly. All chips and hardware is being shipped directly to Ragingazn628, so JohnK can't really help us there. Unless somehow JohnK can get ahold of Avalon/KNC and change the shipping address...

The first post warning of ragingazn: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.msg1874180#msg1874180

More hard evidence came shortly after in that thread:

Ragingazn628's Hardforum (tried to) scam: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1684647
More on hardforums: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1660014

Ragingazn628's previous heatware account: http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=77909
Ragingazn628's SECOND previous heatware account: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=78739
Ragingazn628's current heatware account: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=79046
(what kind of an honest person would need 3 heatware accounts??)

Ragingazn628's Ebay (88% feedback, which is quite low): http://myworld.ebay.com/toms.technology
EDIT: Umm... this is not 88% feedback, perhaps the user in the chip thread posted the wrong link?
2nd EDIT: Maybe that is him, if you go through his seller feedback only, there is an unusual amount of negative feedback- not a huge amount, but it is there.

Ragingazn628's overclock.net account: http://www.overclock.net/u/154962/ragingazn628
(Note: I haven't looked into his posts/dealings on here, I am just providing this for more identification. It is possible there are more shady dealings tied to his account there, but I am not sure.)

PS: I really hope that the picture these links and Ragingazn's disappearance paints doesn't mean what I think they do...

JohnK, any possibility you could change the shipping address on chip/knc orders you made for ragingazn628?

Yet another edit: it seems he has magically reappeared right after I posted this... he just bumped the chip thread. Good, I was ready to call the cavalry in. Now I feel bad for posting all this, but it is what it is...

Thanks for this info. eBay seller status does impose a certain level of responsibility, which someone is about to find out.

You think he is not following his own groupbuy thread?
I PM'ed him of course.
He wasnt online since 6 August.

Please note that this is not my group buy, nor I have any involvement with this. I only have his information as I escrowed another group buy for him separately. I've PM'ed him to respond here.

Just curious does this mean you will not release any information considering the circumstances?

I would not release information unless he's absolutely away from the forums as stuff like this would be permanent. I admit that I'm pretty close at times to do so though...

Also Pm'd the OP regarding the sale of my shares a few days ago with no answer, the money is in escrow and if he dosent reply soon im going to ask the escrow to refund the BTC to the prospective buyer and I will then be forced to ask the OP for a refund.

This really doesn't seem to be going well at all, maybe we could ask the OP to hand over the reigns to another user if his problems are conflicting with his work, I don't want to add to the stress or burdens of this man. I would be happy to take over if needed, as many others would be happy to do I am sure.

John thanks for the answer. It looks like it may have to happen in the chip group buy anyway. I don't envy your position but this is part of being a highly trusted member/mediator I guess. At the very least I think refunds are in order, there are many members including myself that could be investing in much better opportunities.

Did John manage to contact ragingazn628? Anyone else had any luck contacting him?  How long he's not responding? As far as i can see on his forums profile he logged on recently
Last Active:   August 14, 2013, 04:16:37 AM
If he logs on why he isn't responding in the thread?
I only have 1 share, but i feel like something really bad may happen if he just refuses to update us on his status...

Anyone of those who wanted out - Did you get your refund?
