My greatest fear about bitcoin is when time comes that it will crash and the bitcoin in your wallet can not be cashed out anymore. It will stuck in there and all you can do is watch it and wish that you have cash it out before the crash happens.

We are all afraid and worried that someone will know and hack our account. Not only know that, bitcoin holders are afraid that the government will ban bitcoin in our own country. But as for me,I'm afraid that someday, bitcoin will be worthless and  will drop to its lowest value. Since it's volatile, it is not impossible that someday its price will go down. I'm afraid that someday it's will be zero.

No, "Do not be afraid of having bitcoin, because of the limited number of BTCs, BTC people's needs will increase, causing BTC prices to continue rising, with the current economic downturn, so Bitcoin is safe for future investments."

"Hacking and scams remain the top risk for Bitcoin holders. Exchanges that shut down or passwords stolen from devices can easily wipe out a person’s bitcoins. Moreover, governments and central banks from various countries are starting to impose limitations on the use of cryptocurrencies.

Digital coins clearly threaten the political and economic establishment, and the regulatory environment can quickly change with the stroke of a legislative pen. Banks and governments typically use familiar language in the media, such as the need to protect consumers from new risks.

We are hearing familiar talking points from politicians who are getting pressured from the banking lobby. It seems that the root cause of the status quo’s actions in 2017 is to protect fiat currencies and traditional financial interests. Competing digital coins represent a potential end to the government’s monopoly of the monetary system." - Bitcoin.com

All we know that bitcoin is volatile. Its not consistent in its increase. Actually, at first i am not aware what does holding a bitcoin possible benefit. Its like, everytime i have some bitcoin from faucets (before, a long time ago) i withdraw my earnings when i reach the minimum amout, eventhough its just a little amount. But as i join this forum i learn the benefits of holding, and so lucky that i did that. The value of bitcoin today make my holding double. I always check my bitcoin wallet and see the equivalent value now and then, when decrease in value, i feel frustrated, thinking why i did not encash this in this time, etc. Thats what i fear. Lowering its price

My greatest fears are also like yours, I am so much afraid that my coins got hacked and swindled by other people. As a Bitcoin holder, as a newly member of crypto community, I have more to learn on safe keeping our coins.

My fears as a bitcoin holder are scammers, because when it's hacked by the world's best hackers, it's definitely going to lose all the bitcoins we've worked for. and they will surely be able to access this site. But that would not happen. Many have confidence in bitcoin so they are so secure that they can not be scam. And I'm too big for my trust here.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking  too. What if someday, bitcoin will become worthless and there's a new coin that is much profitable than bitcoin? Then, were going to lose our money if it happen, though it's not possible to happen, but we don't know right? And aside from that, if bitcoin price will keep on increasing, I'm afraid that its transaction fee will cost high also just like what is happening right now. I hope transaction fee will not cost too high in the future.

the greatest fear? hmm .. i am more afraid of my own decision when deciding whether i will hold or i sell. yes, the price of bitcoin and altcoin is very easy to change, and I would be sorry if I sell at the wrong time.

I think the biggest fear of being a Bitcoin holder is losing Bitcoin. Because we will feel disappointed, if our money is taken by the hands of others. Therefore, we must be careful not to lose Bitcoin.

Well I have never faced this kind of problem in bitcoin it is increasing more and more in value just because of fine and competent use. If you are using bitcoin block chain wallet it will not make you lose the money and no one will be able to have all of your money until you share about it with about your bitcoin password. For me I am not afraid at all about anything related to bitcoin.

To my mind, the greatest fear for bitcoin may be the sudden fall of the price and it may cause a huge loss of the money.

the biggest risk in my opinion is the loss of coins that I have from the wallet. the second, I am afraid if suddenly cryptocurrency suffered destruction and the digital coins become worthless.
The risk which you are considering biggest can be reduced to smallest by selecting right type of wallet. It is highly advised to use more than one wallets to keep your coins and preferably go from offline wallets because I believe they are not easy to be hacked.

Your second concern is again just an assumption, nothing else. We are living in digital world and it is not possible for the internet to go out of order.

What are the top risks for Bitcoin holders?
The biggest fear of all investors is to incur big loss and for bitcoin holders their greatest fear is when the market of value will go down and i mean go down the drain without bouncing back.

i think anyone who has bitcoins hate the negative fluctuation. We all experienced these past months of 2017 the sudden drops of bitcoin, I thought that would be the end of bitcoin's rise in rate. I think this is nonsense, but I  fear the day that the government would consider bitcoin as illegeal and consider the holders as criminals. All these things but I still love it and will continue to invest in it.
