In my opinion, there is no better than the two. Because both bitcoin and ethereum are both accepted in cryptoworld. Also, it is good to have more options in investment. Because if you only base on one coin your options in trading is limited. For example,  if the price of bitcoin is low and you can't trade, there is ethereum and other ICOs to trade of. So then your money will circulate and increase gradually not just only in one coin but the other coins to.

I think about  Bitcoin and Ethereum  have huge potential for the future and they are suitable for long term investment. They can be seen from the fundamental analysis of the 2 coins are very Good which ultimately can increase demand. It is possible that ETH may be greater than BTC because ETH is a smart contract or blockchain technology and the platform is used by third parties widely, but because BTC is the father of blockchain technology so the world's crypto community will always prefer BTC as an investment.

Yeah that's much volatile than bitcoin, and eth was still gaining stabilized value so bitcoin remains a trusted investments to go further for better future. Event though the majority of altcoins starting from bitcoin falls off its current value, and recovers back in less than 24 hours; the chance for pumping price is always there. Gradual changes may occur, that's why its possible to witness a profitable value in an unexpected ways.

Both are good when it comes to an long term investment but bitcoin will always have an upper hand on Ethereum as Ethereum can never go as high as bitcoin so I would say that Bitcoin in long term and Ethereum in short term as its price keeps on moving up and down on regular basis so it can be good for day trade or short term profits and bitcoin will take care of your profits in long term.
