Yeah, if they dont upgrade and an hour passes with the current state of affairs, diff should drop down to 5000 or less and the half on the network will get double the coins...
Diff now at 7k 2 machines dropped from 15k hps to 0.8 hps. Worth doing a re-install? I do not know what is normal. My best machines dropped to a third or less of their pre-fork HPS, most are down to one-tenth or less of their prior hashrate. Two blocks have been mined in the past 3 hours versus one on average every 6 or 7 minutes before. Not very encouraging. Is this going to become the new normal? No its definitely not the new normal. Our DGW algorithm will find the correct diff but it could take 15 blocks to readjust. We will end up with approx 7 minute blocks like we used to have... Also, the nodes are slowly banning other nodes. If you want to speed up the process, go to the peers list and right click any node below 1065 and ban them for 1 day. I think over the next 8 hours, we will settle on 3000 or so diff until the others upgrade and things will be smooth again. Regarding HPS though, that should be I think about 1/3rd of what it was.

So I have some servers on Vultr running. These will now be 1-2 share guys (from 8-15) now you figure? They wont be able to pay their own rent anymore. Lets give it a full day. Maybe they take the indigestion better

The only difference is now there is no multi-copy exploit per node. And everyones "shares" on the pool will be a lower factor. What Im referring to temporarily though, with half the network off our back as soon as this DGW retargets, we will temporarily earn double just for a while until the rest upgrade.

Ok I think I sort of understand. Everyone is downgraded but downgraded equally across the board. But does that mean the actual shares given are also downgraded by a big factor? Like maybe before I was making 500 shares/day. Now it would be 50 or 250?

Like maybe before I was making 500 shares/day. Now it would be 50 or 250? Yes, everyone downgraded equally. The shares awarded in the pool are shares where the diff was originally set with a "reference" machine, so I will take a look at that tomorrow after we seem to be producing 7 minute blocks again, but the important thing is to ensure the slowest dog slow machine can solve a pool share within 10 minutes. Other than that its just a relative number, what Im seeing is the old 110 share machines are now 68 or so...

Rob, congrats on the new release going successfully so far! Things appear to be improving, thanks. I believe we are under attack though, on the full nodes, but thats pretty normal now. (Im seeing hundreds of closed connections with a fake connection string per second on the full external nodes).

We hit block #21350! https://biblepay-explorer.org/- F8000 (Proof-of-Bible-Hash) Starts at block #21350 - Sanctuaries go live at Block #21350 - Amazon integration (in wallet e-commerce) goes live at block 21350 - Sanctuary payments go live at block #21551 - Proposals and Budgets go live at block 21551 - Superblocks start at block 30001 - Superblock are monthly We should be hashing in f8000 right now in (upcoming) block 21351. Therefore HPS should have dropped. This should be a very interesting block. Block 21351 should make all non-upgraded nodes veer off-track and blow up.... I think half of the network on node.biblepay.org is on a fork, so I think I will lose half of my connections very soon... Yes shares for me dropped 50% now. Is this the new normal? Yes, and btw the only way to see apples to apples is to shut down the miner and start it again... Just to clarify, if I upgraded before the f8000 block, do I also need to restart my machine after the f8000 block? Thanks

more miners crashing mining on pool: perfect!!! The pools are out of control now. Main pool shows top 10 miners like before and the rest with very little shares. miners of men. wow. 400 shares for one guy Not sure if this was intended by Rob. Its not very balanced
