Dear All,

Let me talk about the BBP coins. I was start the mining on NOV 2017. The BBP version from 1.0.6.6 ->1.0.7.1 now that admin " Rob " fixed many problem ( hide worker , block problem , F8000 , F9000 , China zombie PC .etc).
Sometime, I feel startup the new coins is hard but Rob can do that.  BBP provided good thing to child and let them have hope , They can learning knowledge and get basic life . In the pool will be full , So need to new pool let new minter to join us project. I hope BBP will help more people ( child , Poor family) , If the PPB list at Top 100 or stronger ,I think we need to create the workshop to provide the teaching to poor  let them do job or provide the food from food bank. BBP keep going! Never give Up!.

In case anyone has been looking for instructions to compile bitcoin in visual studio on windows I ran across this person with great perseverance:

https://github.com/OleEichhorn/bitcoin-msvc

Its a challenge to compile bitcoins dependencies (including QT) on windows and create a native build with MingW, but visual studio is another story...

capulo when you hit da block, call me  Grin Grin .. daemonko jumped to solo too?

not yet solo

but this is strange: xeon 2x octa core (360 watts) gives worse performance than some slow celeron (8 watts), that does not feel ok.

This phenomenon is the same with you, I checked some Dual L5640 cpu server, the result is lower than single cheap 1v cpu server result, the share amount value is same!...what happen? This ratio must not be normal..

same on my end only getting 7K hashes for a 24 core processor....

my laptop makes more hashpower per core.

all my miners are completely off for last 2 hrs, after last pool tuning...
'nice fix' for missing miners...
You should appear soon, you were banned, but I unbanned you.  E-mail me.

Hi Rob ,

seems I've got banned too .  ALL my miners are gone from the pool except for 4 running separately .

I PMed you with my IP  .  Can you please unban me.    Huh

BTW,   locally "getmininginfo" shows them all submitting solutions and connected to the pool while missing from the reports and not being credited .

same problem here Sad all machines except two are at 0

It's the same here. But I experience some fluctuations. More likely workers are dropped because of the high server load. I notice it last 2-3 days, but it begun with non-proportional reward, faster cores show lower rate than usual.
I think it's time to think about second pool. As it's open source I can try to set up a second one, but it would be useless if a few people use it as main pool will outperform it. I'm not familiar with the algorithms, but I think if 2 pools search for something and they're not in sync (which should be the case) they will try same hashes. In this case if the hash order is not absolutely random, distribution will not be proportional and bigger pool will always win. I mean if it's 50% faster it should get for example 90% of the mining results. But maybe I'm wrong. In order to try a second pool we'll need at least 300-400 000 hps just to be able to try if it's ok.
Rob, can you share with us more about this? We must all work together to solve the problem as it's an issue for the whole currency. I have big hopes for it because of the Bible. Nothing is random in this world. I don't know too much about coins, but I don't want this one's value to fall which would lead to less usage and disappear. Personally I think reliability is the top priority now.
If somebody is with me, I would be happy to make some decisions together and generally do something...whatever it is... It's not only the mining or buying. All of us must support the currency as that's the idea of crypto-coins - P2P.
Websites for exchange are also another problem in value going down. If we could do something...

Thank you for all of your hard work Rob! <3
Project would not exist or be doing well without you, I believe BiblePay has a very bright future.

===

I was poking around DASH recently, their latest monthly proposals only have 34% of their $6.5 million budget allocated,
so it looks like all those extra $4 million dollars of coins are going to be burned O_O,
Its enough money to fund 100,000 Orphans!

One of the issues they seem to be having is that it costs 5 DASH to submit a proposal, which now costs over $5,000!

Thanks, yeah, I noticed that every dash masternode owner is now at least a millionaire.  Since 1000 dash is over $1 million now.

Thats a great problem to have.  Wouldnt it be nice if we could sponsor even 5,000 orphans per month?  And expand to widows, habitat housing, gospel musicians, helping the homeless, CARE, feeding the poor locally, etc.

Also we would guarantee a full IT department of devs and support personnel.

Maybe we can do it, maybe 2018 is our year...

Rob my sir,
I kindly appreciate you fixing the issues with the pool so quick.
If I can do anything to help in the future for the coin let me know.
We have some Christian book stores around here and I could possibly print some pamflets to leave at my catholic church in Amsterdam.
If you have any suggestions for marketing or agree with my idea I'd be glad to do it.
Best of wishes and happy new year in advance

Hello EmoHP,

That is correct, the C-CEX outage is causing dropping in price as we only have coinsmarkets and it was/is targetted by DDoS attacks for last days.
We need to work in team for this to work, the main idea behind the coin is very good and has high potentials.
There is a second pool minersofmen.com, however it is not very active. I have mined there with a box and they found only a block in a nights time, and looking at block reward it was the only one in a couple of days.
It is important factor with serveral pools that the miner load is equally distributed, one way would be to set restrictions based on total network hps on the main pool and automatically forward to a secondary or tertiary pool.
If you want some help with anything please message me. I'll be glad to respond.

Best wishes,

Joel

P.S: I am also getting still very fluctuating HPS2, but they are higher then before the fix, so I am good for now. Atleast I am generating a fair amount of coins at the moment.

Canopus, that was my point exactly with my previous post. There should be an equal distribution of the miner load between pools, we should have a couple and maybe implemented in the pool server to forward to a secondary or tertiary pool once it hits a certain % of the network hash p/s.
I am not a programmer nor a native english speaker so pardon me. IF it is possible we could have a proposal set up for someone to program it in.

Best wishes,

What is the appetite out there for me to develop a mobile wallet for Biblepay?
Id like to submit a proposal for it but its a BIG task and the budget this time around is all out.
Quite frankly id love to set apart one month to work on biblepay fulltime

But I wanted to get a feeler from others if they would want such a thing?

https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7esc05/mobile_wallet/

Thanks Togo. Thats 1 vote! Hopefully they own a sanctuary for funding LOL

Do you recommend I break this down into separate deliverables?
And include it in the next budget cycle? Is it every 2 weeks?

I recommend creating a semi-detailed proposal and sharing the URL, and include how many hours are attributed to each step and lets review it.  Since we dont have to create this from scratch (I assume you would port the electrum client over to work on biblepay) it would be good for us to see the hours estimation on each step before asking the network to vote on it.

I think it will be very important to deliver each deliverable every two weeks so we can see how its coming along, something that is checked in to github and demoable.

The budget is monthly.

One other thing to do the due diligence on is try to find out who is going to run the electrum server, and the hours associated with making it work with biblepay and the monthly charges to run one.

Ok sounds good. At this point Id just like to be able to scan a generated QR code from my paperwallet and then send funds to it. That would be the first milestone -- and that is a considerable amount of server plumbing, UI design, and mobile programing to get working!

Would this be the android version of electrum to be ported for biblepay?

Other than the argument changes, and a lot of debugging, why would we have new ui design, do you mean "wallet theming", IE picutres and skins for biblepay, or do you mean new UI design?

When you say mobile programming do you mean Debugging on a mobile device, or business logic changes?

I dont personally mind if you push a piece of a multipart proposal in and promise to work on it over the next month if it passes, but I would still like to see the details you envision for this project and the hours involved for the first milestone.

Best wishes,

I think it's possible to make such distribution. A server with new IP that redirects traffic to one of the 2 pools based on IP and current server load. But it's not an easy task, I just think about possibilities excluding pool code changes. Simple web-bot can monitor total HPS of each pool and redirect new connections. But this should be used by everyone. And everyone must have same usernames and workers in both pools which makes it hard and almost impossible.

On other hand I don't know if I'm banned or not. I don't even want to ask, because banned in Bible sound not real. So I think for sure it's some kind of Bug. At some moment I have all my workers running, at some - non of them, also sometimes part of them - randomly.  Another issue is where goes my HPS as I always have CPU load. Maybe it's another Bug in wallet application.

But I see global HPS of the pool and miners - these values have fluctuations +- 30% which is not normal, so for sure I'm not alone. I only hope the price of and trust in BublePay do not fall. I think it's the future as it accumulate all of the root principles of the cryptocurrency idea and fear play.

On the other hand about GPU mining... It must never be possible! Big companies cannot come in easily and that's the whole idea - free transfers and killing banking system as it is the biggest parasite in out society. Power and money are not good things... all of us know it! I believe God give us some (not too much) money to be free to follow his path. I speak freely as nobody's presence here is random. I'm sure in that!
