Ok guys I'm thinking of having a coin made with either 1000MEC or 500 on the coin, just looking to see who would support this before I take my next step?

If it is a physical coin, I suggest to wait a little longer. I could definately buy some, but wouldn't it be wise to wait for greater acceptance?

You can wait till the price goes nuts, I want mine now!

In the event of a sell off I'd be waiting "downstairs" to buy more. We've been up to 0.00021 before, gone down, and returned up again. If Kimoto mysteriously disappeared and stopped development I'd sell, or if a serious competitor arrived on the scene and I needed money to invest. Right now I have a lot more to gain than to lose by just holding. I haven't earned nearly enough to make a sell worthwhile at this point. It would only take me a week to earn the gains back just working my day job.

If you have your life savings in it, you're more likely to be a weak hand. You have more to lose. I don't invest money that I'm afraid to lose, and I don't sell unless my gains would take me a long time to acquire normally.

That is an interesting way to look at that.  Your day job pays you cash I'm assuming?  Which you in turn "invest" in crypto?

Those holding cash and stocks (what you seem to be referring to as "money") are going to wake up to a real surprise someday soon...  Wink

Yes, of course. I'm not a doomsday type of person in regards to fiat, but I still see crypto currencies as more worthwhile than something like gold. "Money" is any resource that you can sustain yourself with and trade for goods and services. "Investment" is anything that has the potential to increase your resources and thus your buying power.

I only invest an amount of resources that I can live without, and I only invest in something that I believe has a bigger upside than downside. At worst I can lose my 2 BTC investment in MEC, that I can earn back in a week. At best I can increase my buying power 1000 fold. Easy decision. I'm holding as long as I see the upside in MEC, and it's bigger than the possible downside. If MEC becomes accepted and enough shops open up so I can sustain myself with it, I never have to sell my MEC.. only trade with it.

I don't invest in fiat currencies, 'cause the upside is abysmal - and possible downside huge. I do trade with them though, but only because I have to.

Day trading is a different story, but I don't really do that.

I mean seriously? When I hear about selling something this explosive for pennies, I have to wonder WTF are these people thinking?
I'm just a peon, but in my younger days I've blown more than my entire Megacoin investment, hardware and all, in less than 10 minutes on a couple spins of the Roulette wheel in Vegas. Stupid as I may have been then, I wouldn't sell this ticket for 10 times the price. Have some patience and give it a year or three...

I buy and I hold. Im not selling nor am I dumping. I could  filll every single buy order down to nothing. But im not an idiot to sell at these prices. Not when the potential of MEC hitting .01 could happen in the next couple years.

Need people to sell MEC for others enjoyment Wink

Just bought a vehicle by selling some MEC (my initial investment).

Still have over 600k MEC and no longer worried about holding my bag for 2+ years, shouldn't call early investors idiots now they are able to profit from this price and still retain a horde of MEC.

Now to sit from the sidelines and cheer on MEC, ready to buy buy buy buy.

Thanks Guys, hopes this makes sense.

I dislike the gravity well only that it would have to scale weirdly to fit the back of a (i assume?) round coin.

And I am also hesitant to see what colours would look like if you are aiming at a silver/metal coin, I'm not sure it would come out right?

I think the coin should have the same front/back, maybe differing only in the slightest (date printed etc)..

I would like to see:

If printing in colours turns out to be okay.

Or

If printing in colours is an issue.

That's my two cents, ball rolling..
