Could anyone offer any thoughts why my MEC wallet is not synching with the network or accepting coin deposits?
Thanks in advance

It was working normally before, and all the sudden stopped? Have you changed anything on this system recently?

Sent myself some coins and nothing in the unconfirmed or at the address.. Doesn't seem to be communicating with the network either though... Not sure!! Thanks for your time!

So you did a fresh install of the client, and it never connected to the network, or updated the blockchain? Where did you send the coins from? I take it this is a Windows 7 box? What other applications are running?

I noticed coinwarz.com has MΣC wrong again! Showing the block reward as 50... Sent them a message to hopefully get this corrected.

yep, welcome back everyone. so I think the next step to make megacoin a functional currency that people can actually use in the real world is to develop a software program that allows a customer to bring his thumb drive, plug it in and access his portable wallet using his password, and send a MΣC payment to the retailer's megacoin address. eventually a specialized machine can be developed for megacoin retail transactions, but for now it would be good to just have a program to run on a laptop that would be functional to be able to offer customers the option of paying in MΣC instead of USD. I think businesses would love it. the sooner we get a megacoin economy rolling, the more likely MΣC will become a (THE) major contender. what do y'all think?

That would be great, but if I remember well, there is already a payment processor in progress by some member here.

I think there are at least 3 or 4 big things in the works that will be ready in the near future. For now get all the MΣC you can before the next block reduction.
