Could you imagine making baseless accusations and false claims for nearly 5 months trying to damage the reputation of something with nothing to gain from it? If he would have just shut the hell up and started mining/buying Megacoin and contributing to the community positively he'd be well on his way to becoming a Megacoin millionaire (he was obviously around early.) At the very least, you'd think he'd just move on.

The guy bleeds negative energy and only knows how to tear down -- he lacks the ability to create or innovate so this is all he has left. Negative energy people always end up depressed and poor in the end (millions of examples) -- guess I'll take solace in that. Also, anybody with actual knowledge on the topics he posts about likely visit his blog for nothing more than a good laugh.

Well said, however look at the message history of bholzer, and see how much "negative energy" this guy made towards many altcoins, "trying to damage the reputation of something with nothing to gain from it". See how this asshole did them and it is absolutely ridiculous now that such a person starts to accuse others with these arguments. What a joke it is.

I was pushing back against the ongoing scams by the developer you follow around (he always creates a new username for each coin launch.) He creates a new coin, you guys mine it and promote it and aggresively campaign to have it added to Cryptsy, then within a couple days of being added the price is pumped up and everyone in on it dumps on naive/misled investors. The dev then walks away, the coins become virtually worthless, and you guys all cease the endless promotion. This all happens fast...although with Cryptsy being slightly more selective it's not as easy as it once was.

This hurts the reputation of the entire altcoin community. I was tired of the same guy/group getting away with the same scam over and over. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, you guys pulled it off again with ELP. ELP even premined tens of thousands of blocks worth of coins. I started out trying to help the ELP community...but I quickly realized most of you were already in on the scam.

I didn't make baseless assumptions and accusations -- I stated only facts. Guess what? Everything played out just like I predicted...and a lot of people got screwed.

Why telling the lies here? You were a miner of ELP, and mined or bought many millions of ELP, then trying to get it to cryptsy, you started to attack the premine of ELP which was well known at that time. I still don't get your distorted logic there. At the beginning, no one cared about you, but you started to post everywhere and made ELP like the worst ever coin in the world. That's where many miners like myself started to post messages against you. Then you should have dumped ELPs cheap (I may got some at coins-e.com - haha very happy about it), and attacked ELP in every possible occasions. You even attacked many other coins that some old ELP miners followed. Clearly you attacked these coins simply because you lost your profit in ELP. This is not because ELP is bad, but because you are stupid. I am happy that I held all the ELPs (and maybe some of yours), and waited it get listed in cryptsy, and made a good return.

Now you switch to a new coin? Be careful guys, if he lost money there, this coin would be the worst ever in his eyes, and you guys just deal with his shits  Grin

Anyone have any suggestions on a 600x90 Megacoin Header ad to put up on CryptoLife?

Should run it for the rest of the year  Grin

Sounds like a waste of resources. Too bad Cryptolife has no credibility, but some people are gluttons for punishment. I was talking to VR4mines this morning, and we are thinking about making some bumper stickers. Something like "Got Megacoin?" with the URL under it. There will also be a web advertising campaign to coincide with the launch of the new store.

Hey, I for one actually enjoy 'most' of Hazard's articles and the ad price isn't too much at the moment, will change when viewers come in.

No matter your stance on Hazard, we all know he is quite vocal in the crypto community. Negative views still = views  Wink

Actually I could care less if he wants to bash Megacoin. If he had an ounce of class, he would take it somewhere else. I mean, who does he think he will influence here?
Grin  But you are correct that he does provide entertainment value, and continues to prove how little he really knows.  Wink

I think you're failing to realize Hazard has an agenda here...and allowing Megacoin in as a sponsor would conflict with that agenda. I'm just assuming he wouldn't even be interested...but even if he was, it's not likely to benefit the Megacoin community/network much (beyond the ironic humor it would provide.) We need services, we need to get exchanges other than Cryptsy listing Megacoin (Cryptsy simply cannot handle the required volume) -- if we start building things out, Megacoin will grow organically.

From what I've seen, ethought has done more for Megacoin than anybody else at this point.

Wasn't trying to make this a pissing contest, putting an ad up would simply give me a little entertainment, and if I have the resources (which would ultimately go to booze + black market) why not?

I didn't actually want to do it, I questioned Hazard just to see him say "Nope, no megacoin ads!" and have it on record, like you said, but he doesn't care anymore as his agenda seems now to kick a few hornets nests and watch the buzz, which is working.

I agree more services and exchanges are required and hopefully some of us, like yourself, have some projects in the works which are taking shape nicely.

I was actually in the process of contacting 3rd party for this on a bit of a larger scale, but if you think it could be done without a middle man, even just a test batch, we should get this ball rolling. Let me know, either way will probably do a test run at the end of the week just for myself.

The first couple sites that say "Megacoin Accepted Here" will be quite satisfactory.  Cool

Why don't you guys throw in to purchase 100,000 views at a penny stock forum.  $800 is the cost and you can be bringing in whales, not twerps.

I can make a website explaining how to buy the currency next week that the banner can point to and help non-crypt0-guys get there feet wet.

I like that idea. My only reservation would be if it's still too early? Do we want to have a functional payment processor first that we can show off? Maybe at least one vendor?

yes I think it is too early.  I think once it is USD to any crypto on Cryptsy would be the best time to put that kind of investment in.

In case anyone is interested, I ordered some bumper stickers today. They are supposedly heavy vinyl, and rated for 3 years of outdoor wear. They won't be here until around the 25th, but if anyone wants one, or a few, let me know.

This is just something I drew up in Paint. The actual stickers will look much sharper, but the site I used put some grey text on their design so you can't copy it and print the stickers yourself.  Undecided

I also found a site that sells heavy cotton, fleece lined, zip front hoodies and they will do an embroidered Megacoin logo. If enough people want one it might be worth making a bulk order.

I have been talking to a rep at Branders.com, but plan on getting some quotes from other vendors. Currently the cost on the Hoodie is about $34 plus shipping with a minimum order of 12. I am also looking into some high quality winter jackets that compare to the North Face Denali. Cost on these looks to be about $120 (the real Denali would be around $200), also with a minimum order of 12.  Possibly some baseball caps too (which would be either black and red, or white, NOT yellow as shown). If enough people are interested...
