What do you think about this?  https://halongmining.com/

And their demonstration video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRCsQUyR7_I

Price: 1350$
PSU: 115$
Speed: 16TH/s

Honestly this looks like rip off of S9 and all what they did just put the sticker of their logo on it. But i am not sure how they can change the speed in the dashboard that shows 16TH/S...

lol

2 problems with this video..

1) they don't show the front of the miner, with the BITMAIN Logo

2) the youtube video itself has comments disabled (rarely see that) so folk can't point that out to newbies, that this is a scam!

3) and of course, the likely screen is showing, more than one ASIC miners to get the output, with other units out of the shot.

If this is NOT a scam, it is the dumbest video of product I've ever seen, in that they don't address why/how their unit looks

like a Bitmain unit....if is obvious because 1) it is a bitmain unit or 2) they copied a bitmain unit

if it is 2) you copied a bitmain unit, you would want to point out why it is a clone of a bitmain unit...to address this very issue,

to prove you are NOT a scammer! The obvious, reason for neglecting this is, it is a bitmain unit and you are scamming folk!

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

I was interested in buying the new miners, but doing a little research about the reputation of the company I found this post, it was scary there are too many loose ends in their presentation plus the minimum order of 5 miners that is somewhat suspicious.

At least I always research before buying,  I almost fall into a possible scam like that of KYC miners.

On a side note....at the price they want and delivery date

Just see it as a no go....especially with crypto in flux (BTC moon....it stabilizes...then, IMHO, Alts go moon next)

I'm having a hard time seeing getting any equip with crypto next year, (retiring...thus play money will be crypto)...just seems silly (at this point in time anyway)

Bank Loan 1st for any equip bet, it can mine its way out of that, if completely jam'd up as a mistake I can then use crypto to get out of trouble with bank...

but that only works for 1 or 2 units on my new retirement situation. Thus, hard to see me being a big miner in the future, over an above the equip I have on hand now

when they go doorstops (hodl as much crypto as possible in the meantime after expense) ..that could be all she wrote.....

not a bad situation to be in, but mining in my circumstances will likely become a small-time affair and hodl'ing will be the real passion!

So keep this stuff in consideration of ANY equip you buy, but myself...people should get a LOT more info and better timeline and such on these miners

it is confusing enough on asic makers you KNOW exist playing timeline/difficulty/price games on should I get equip yes/no/or of course the 'no way in hell' now the category

that we are at these BTC prices and again (IMHO) the blastoff once BTC settles to a sideways price again...of alt coins moon after the fact yet to come...again my view.

anyway, would be nice to see alternatives to Bitmain, even if I retire to the bleachers this year on mining in mass.....(hey I can watch) Smiley would be a nice wrap

up, seeing bitmain have some competition

I suspect however that once you get into the weeds and get info the DragonMint even it legit...so far these products just don't cut it ...

 Who?

Don't think I've ever heard that NAME, much less have any clue who they are supposed to be.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

I take it they are today's crypto Social Media Darling?
If so could care less. This is a technical site with a fair number of very talented technical folks here. Not out-for-the-PR 'media celebs'.

If someone has serious creds re mining hardware then they should have an account here. The Bitcointalk Forum *IS* the largest on the planet after all. Not to mention is inhabited by a good number of hard-core hardware folks Wink

How about you just make raw unedited, not cut video, with all the numbers, PSU, and Dashboard from your pool? its simple..

Since I take it you have never seen/read any recent reviews, how about using these for a how-to guide:
(Review/Guide) WhatsMiner M3 11.5 Th/s, 2000W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner
and
(Review/Guide) Hotmine X5 upgrade kit for Antminer S1/S3/S5

Does not address concerns about the company's method of financing their venture (pre-sales) nor the ability to produce the miners in large numbers BUT it certainly does give credible proof of the miners existing.

What he asked for is what everyone wants. Detailed pictures and proof that it mines. Put an amp clamp on it and show us how much power it draws. Take detailed photos from all angles so we can see the difference from the bitmain units. Show it hashing live on a video, both on the pool and on the miner status page at the same time. Maybe use a dB meter to see if it is quieter as they claim.

Turns out there is another new miner that will put DragonMint out of business!!!!

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

I asked about if promojo is receiving one unit for review and this is the answer I got from Halong Mining via e-mail.

Quote
I dont think so, I dont recognize the name. We send a miner to two people in the last week, one of whom is in Canada and will do a public review in the next week/10 days.

I personally have not yet had green light for buying and reviewing one.
