That is the quote that convinced me it is real. fefox has been in the top 5 on bitminter since I first mined there in 2012 back when 20th was the entire network. I hope to order 2-4 units from myrig.com Given that myrig.com price for the S9 according to their website is twice bitmain's, I'm hoping for a reasonable price first

It's going to be a crazy buy fest. Maybe within a few months the "frenzy" will ease up. Either that or I'll simply vote with my pocketbook and buy cheaper, but less efficient ASIC hardware.

Hopefully at the very least Bitmain will release some s9's at a low price when the Dragonmint's come out. It would be nice to have the option to order less than 5 at a time as well if these end up being legit.

Given that myrig.com price for the S9 according to their website is twice bitmain's, I'm hoping for a reasonable price first I'm guessing about double as well. And double what? I doubt after the recent Bitmain pricing jumps that the Dragonmint will stay around $1,500 -- so probably closer to $2,100 and then double that. Ugh. Or... maybe with these two going more head-to-head, perhaps there will be some price easement across both brands? Dunno. And then there's those who believe that because of the Dragonmint's existence (or suggested existence, etc.)... that Bitmain is now rushing along S11 development to smack Halong upside their head as soon as they actually start shipping the things. Ugh. If Bitmain comes out with a 18-28TH S11 around the same time as the Dragonmint, then pricing probably stays in the $2,200-$2,500 range for the time being. Too much interest in either product not to. Ugh. (Moderator's note: This post was edited by frodocooper to fix broken quote formatting.)

For the first time since they announced... I feel at ease about it. I hope to get some in April as well. Can't wait to see some reviews and folks actually hashing with them. Despite all the madness and heartburn in this thread... one thing is for certain: the competition in this market is desperately needed, and for that reason along I'd support these guys.

Bitmain warranty aka myrig.com. Is one of two reasons that I still use asics. I only have 3 s9s, I have no other asics. Myrig has done multiple repairs with decent service. I have a lot of gpus far more then my s9s. I think I need to send in two dead s9 boards this week. 1 from a new 14th miner 1 from a old batch 1 miner. And I may have lost a full s9 at the solar array Which would mean 5 dead boards and four good boards. Of the three I have left.

Well glad I ordered mine during the presale for $1,350 a piece. My order # is in the 300’s so I should be one of the first to receive them. I’m laughing at all the trolls, skeptics, and no lifers who’ve spent the last few months spreading FUD in this thread. You guys will feel pretty stupid once these start showing up on customers doorsteps.

Yeah dude! I'm happy for you too! But I really can't wait for you to post another replay after you "Receive" it or even still in "waiting" for it. There is no stupidity for being conscious of something that is in gray zone.

Actually buying the way you did is a gamble. it is hard for some of us to do it we have seen theft after theft. In my case I have built multiple gpu farms I have 3 of them and they earn well. All purchased with paypal 0 interest and 6 months to pay. That makes sending money to an unconfirmed seller very hard for me to do. As for spreading FUD the builder spread the Fud bud.

A loud and proud investomer!!! 2013 all over again, welcome back all investomers! Now we just need all the integrator scams again oh such good times. I for one hope your investment works out for you, the mining community does not need another BFL et al. Rather than giving my money interest free to strangers in some other country on the internet I prefer to have my money working for me NOW...

Does anybody else think the company's stated goal of decentralization is inconsistent with a 5 piece minimum order? Or does it just seem that way to me as a nooby noob?

Well I could make a very long list of mistakes the builder did. I won't do that. As moq's of 5 not too bad you need a partner. I been doing this a long time. Buying 1 unit is not smart as the gear breaks. So to have 2 or 3 units allows for switching out and blending the gear. A 1300-1400 watt at the plug miner is not for home use. It is hot and loud you need a place for them. Having a few will help a lot. Having 1 piece not so much. Based on its size they could have done moq's of 4 and fit them in a bigger box. the one below for instance would fit 4 units in boxes like the s-9 are in. I know this as I have sold sets of 4 S-7s packed in this box. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Classic-Large-Heavy-Duty-Cardboard-Moving-Box-Actual-24-in-x-18-in/50098526

I thought myrig was going to sell single units? I think the MOQ of 5 is when ordering directly? Or did I read it wrong?

Anyone think the recent difficulty spike might be related to the Dragonmints?

This partnership with Myrig.com is the most positive thing that has happened so far, but I'm affraid their retail price will be really really high, the same as with the S9 miners. Some new images are uploaded in the Myrig.com shop. I managed to find the high-res images, they were 'hidden'.
See this Imgur album for the picture found at DragonMint product page: https://imgur.com/a/WaHLdWe can finally have a slightly little better look at the miner. For cooling there seems to be two pieces Delta TFC1212DE, front and back, in a push-pull configuration. And I think I now know why the miner web configuration page was just like with the Innosilicon A5 and A4+. The DragonMint miner has the exact same controller board. See it for yourself, here is a picture for comparison: https://i.imgur.com/jxHeSP6.jpgAlso the steel case tube looks a lot like the one Innosilicon uses for the A5 and A4+. Maybe the Halong Mining actually has a subcontract for these miners to be manufactured by Innosilicon?

I count -1 (or +1) - from the point of which you count first No UPDATE ... -2 (or+2) Could be just a standard mass board you can buy. Like cable are same. Connectors are same. Yes, they are standard. Maybe the same supplier, but does not lead that Inno is doing business with them. Better ask them in person first. But I aggree. Looks pretty the same. Nice

^ There are the same amount of locations for 4-pin fan connectors, they just don't have the same number of them populated.
So far I have more proof for my claim than you have against it.
I'm not making this politics, it's strictly a technical discussion.
