(Being upfront and honest here)
Looks like I recieved an extra ~BTC0.205034376 (~500 bonds worth) then I should have. Willing to return them and/or not receive dividends for a bit to make up for it. LabRat, PM/email me with a return address if you want me to send it back.
On a side note: Is it going to be a pain to track people who buy/sell their bonds that received extra dividends? Will trading be suspended for the time being?
Example: -I have 700 shares -I received extra dividends this week -I won't receive more dividends for 3 weeks to catch up with the extra dividends I received -Week 1 after the incident: I buy 100 more bonds -Will I receive 100 bonds worth of dividends the end of the week, or will they be credited as if I had 600 bonds?

I'm not sure what LR is going to decide to do, which is why I haven't posted a return address. Dealing with the overages is going to be complicated, so I don't want to speculate. There will be a decision published soon enough. I'm pleased at the number of people who have pledged to return the overages they were paid.... I thought only trolls and assholes used Bitcointalk. ;-) grnbrg.

Looks like I got overpaid by just a little. Address: 1MFPrwMMPjefxjofNPAmrbuJCaQ7pyAAVb 0.000524306 per share Paid: 0.08546188 BTC Expt: 0.063965332 BTC Payback: 0.021496548 BTC I'll be paying these back to LRM, even if he decides to let people keep the dividends. Do we have any idea if there's a share management / trading system in the works? If there's not, I could at least put together a web app that can serve as a master share list and payment spreadsheet exporter that LabRat and grnbrg can use to prevent stuff like this happening in the future.

Could you code up a CEX.IO style set up or at least lead a team that can? CEX.IO desperately needs some competition and I think we have the resources and need to give it some..... lets turn a problem into an opportunity

Some underpayment corrections went out about an hour ago. The rest of the corrections should follow shortly.
As far as the people who were overpaid, I'll talk some more with Lab_Rat about how that is going to be handled. I see a number of possibilities, and there's no reason to rush forward and complicate things any further.
grnbrg.
Can you tell us what the payout per share should be so we can confirm we have been paid correctly? As we've figured out, correct payment per bond should have been 0.000524306 this week. grnbrgLol... I was reading the thread with pain.. but as you posted this i was laughing.. 100 Shares and exactly got the correct number of divs.. There can be only one! hrhrr....

Suggestion: Shares that were over-paid become untradeable until they either return the over-payment, or until dividends make up the over-payment. Simple, effective.

this mess would never happen if LR hired a programmer from India for $5 and created fully automated payments system. It takes only some 10 hrs to code such platform. Stone age...

CEX.IO desperately needs some competition and I think we have the resources and need to give it some..... lets turn a problem into an opportunity I could put down the framework for share count management pretty easily, but it'd be a much greater amount of work to get that system up to share trading, and then significantly more to bring it to the level of polish that CEX.IO have. I imagine their development team is reasonably large. I might take a look around and see if there's some existing framework I can build on top of, or at least find a system with everything already thought out, so I can use that as a model to create our own. Security and reliability would be my biggest worries if we were to try and get our own platform running.

Just woke up to this....
I owe 0.00209723 (thought Christmas had come late!).
I can send back but there is a fee of 0.0001BTC (around 5% of the owed amount).
For us small bond holder and 'new to the party guys' can there be a cut off, say 0.1 BTC where over payments are taken out of next weeks divs?
Happy to send back, Just a thought

In fact we can't blame the employee...shit happens...
But this shows the need of an exchange.
LabRat, you know Dave, ask him about Picostock. It's not perfect, it's not CEX.IO but it work.

I've started to code a site to exhange lrm shares, based on bitcoin transactions to check if the payment has made, half of the work (sell side) was made and part of buy side (that need to send a email to the buyer to confirm that he still interested in the buying and make the payment in a certain time) I showed the site to grnbrg and I don't even know if he reported to LabRat, anyway no one showed interest by the site and once I checked that I can code the idea that had in my head my interest for the project was gone and I never ended it. http://lrm.esy.es/Regards

Haven't tried sql injections yet, but looks pretty good. One inconvenience I noticed is if your wallet is encrypted, it turns out to be insane to enter passwords on every transaction to sign messages. Perhaps keep status in session?

Security and reliability would be my biggest worries if we were to try and get our own platform running. It should be easily doable with shell script, csv output from the spread sheet, bitcoind, and the amount of BTC to payout. It could even have some safety checks to make sure nobody fat-fingers some extra digits, output the results for review, and Confirm. I'd use a linux live cd/usb, so the system is only online when payments are being made. I'm kind of shocked this simple mech isn't in place. This is a digital currency, humans are not needed for the maths lol. Any idea when we might get those announcement clarifications from LR? or is that keyboard shortage in Miami more epic then we thought? hehe
