Probably, I don't know yet. I have invested in 1 ICO (Exscudo) and didn't receive tokens yet. It was 1 year ago and may be it looks as scam Smiley

I just came over from the 'Investor Games' subforum (hope I got that right). A guy there said he came across a site asking to double his bitcoin, he paid in $20 and got $40 the following day or so. He then went for a higher plan of $300 hoping to cash out $600 but they asked him to pay in another $300 before cashing out. He got confused and was asking for advice.

I think I've been there before. Before I became a forum member. I once came across one of those scam sites promising to generate bitcoins. Thought it was real, but when they asked me to pay some transaction fee, I was stuck. I had no money to pay the fee. With the benefit of hindsight, I know I'd have sent them the 'transaction fee' had I had the coins to send them.

Now, what have been your experience with internet scams?
How do we help people not to get scammed?

I feel for you mate; however, I am lucky enough to not be scammed yet. Although, I have joined and investment time on projects that seemed quite good in the beginning but ended up to be bad projects in the end. However, I can't blame anyone, not even myself actually, because the projects and the market are just like that nowadays, you can't exactly tell which ones would be prosperous and which ones would go south. So, I am hoping that I would not be scammed because I am sure that it would be frustrating, but in terms of joining bad projects, I have always been ready for that.

The similar diagram of deception was at the beginning of the 2000th in service WebMoney. It is amusing that people still come across this trick.

Yes I have , was scammed over 3 times when I was a newbie and eager to learn about bitcoin,  the worst of it all is that you will never know who is really coming to sell coin genuinely to you. This is the main reason we have to have someone who is already in the crypto sphere for a while,  someone we can take advice from about how not to be scammed,  because am sure that he or she must have been scammed.

I am not 100% sure but i think i was scammed.
Okay it was kinda my fault.

First of all i broke the first rule of cryptos NEVER EVER USE THE SAME PASSWORD for websites
I also broke another rule: always use security systems like 2fa.

I was signing up to airdrop sites and exchanges with the same password. A while later one of my exchanges got hacked. Glad it only had 30$ in it.
After that the hackers continued trying to login all the websites I was signed up.
Dont be a fool like me.. i am a disgrace to the community.. Smiley

Scammers meet every day, and the range of their activities is huge .. I recently met a message about the sale of a stolen wallet with 5 bitcoins on the account, for 2000 dollars, of course it's a fraud!

Each 5 ICO was created only for picking money, it is especially insulting when you are produce a bounty for 3 months, and in the end you get nothing Angry

I have not been scammed because I'm a cautious person and I do not know how much bitcoin I have because it's sometimes the target of scammers and because of their bitcoin.

Use only proven sites and study them a hundred times before you pay someone money. Use the search on the Internet and try to find reviews. Unfortunately, scammers are everywhere now, be careful.

Scammers nowadays are really too greed to get an easy money so if you are going to make an investments online or make a transactions online, you have to make sure that it is a legit one. So far, i dont meet a scammer because i always make a research first and study before getting into an investments or trade.

It is really disheartening to be scammed in this trying times. I experienced one late last year and it wasn't funny but somehow, we are hopeful as some redemptive measures are underway to get back our investment from the organization. The coy must have gotten themselves involved in a very wrong trade which went really wrong!

I have been scammed for a couple of times, not here in bitcoin but in different online jobs before. I was really in need of job before and that site really caught my attention for it has good promotions and told me to earn like 200$ a day. I worked for two weeks but I gained nothing and from then on, I realized that I need to be very observant before joining online jobs.

Yes, if I am not wrong, I experienced scam twice since I started to do the bounty. I regret because I gave my time and effort on working in a bounty campaign. At that time, I am happy and thankful because the manager accepted me in their service. The said bounty campaign can be done for 8 weeks then I can get the payment. But after the contract, there's no payment that was distribute.

Unfortunately, you will fill a lot of bumps until you learn to distinguish scammers from honest people... Everyone wants to get rich, but not everyone does it in an honest way.

One too many times but only never on this message board.   The one time I bought a gift card from here was through private messaging and the guy sent the e-card first.
That way I couldnt be scammed.
