There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

We are at DIFF 9 !

PPS -30%

The rate of block seems to have lower drastically too
We are at 2block/min now.

EDIT : still ~2-3block/min like before it seem

Difficulty integer changes result in a globally lower primerate.

ypool.net does pooled mining, but you have to use there mining software.

Just posting in this thread as it would be great to see more miners stepping up and claiming the world record prime chains in the blocks they've mined. Relevant information on checking and claiming records is in the [XPM] Primecoin Record Books thread.

Records for Cunningham Chains of length 10 & 11 are now all attributed to Primecoin blocks, and block 74722 has beaten the previous record for a Cunningham Chain length 12.

Code:
New World Record!
 Block 74722, Chain 2CC0c (12 primes), 97 digits
 Previous record: 62 digits

Code:
=== Current Records ===

       1CC    2CC    TWN

 07    356    251   *268

These records are only the beginning Grin And it is all thanks to Sunny - I would propose that any records not claimed by a miner should be attributed to Sunny.

Could you use the same format Sunny uses on the first page, e.g. include the generating address.

Good suggestion thanks Rethaw - I've been using the python script provided by Clark as it produces the nice summary table. I'll change it to include the address in the output.

Thanks for the chart, it's looking likely that block spacing will trend above 30 seconds for a while now unless an influx of miners join the network or mining client performance is improved by 10x or more

Soooooo, anyone got a block yet? To add some data 4 days 10,000pps combined, no blocks.

I get 2 blocks a day on slightly less than that speed.  Spread over 2 computers.
I get nothing  Roll Eyes

I'm not sure why your posting a "rollseyes", are you saying you don't believe me?
No you're just lucky  Tongue
How many XPM per block now?

The latest one I received is 12.38

Thinking about the inevitable GPU miners, which will push difficulty up to extremes, this will also reduce block reward, correct? Which will also reduce the money supply? So would GPU miners cause a reduction in available XPM?

Hopefully the difficulty will go down as miners switch off. I have finally given up after getting nothing for 5 days.

Inefficient miners switching off should, if markets are efficient, lead to efficient miners taking up the slack, shouldn't it?

Not to opening up opportunities for more inefficient miners to inhabit?

I just want to say thanks to all the Primecoin miners and traders that have made mcxNOW the largest primecoin exchange . I am working on massive account overhaul for the site to make depositing, withdrawing and monitoring your trades a lot cleaner. Also a new feature that will benefit everyone who has XPM!

Is this your own data (from the debug log or something) or is this from a site? If the later can you provide a link, thanks.

I have managed to find 4 blocks in the last 3 days with ~2500-2800 PPS on one machine, at current market that is about $55 USD, but the CPU itself only uses ~100 watts on the AC side so that's about $0.60 USD per day in power where I live.

This is pretty outlandishly good mining compared to say, mining BTC or LTC or any other altcoin with GPU's where the profits seldom outweigh power costs by any substantially large margin. With power costs where I live I can barely break even mining the most profitable altcoins, so mining primecoins seems very odd to me.

Something will have to give sooner or later. Either the difficulty is going to explode as more people come to mine or the market will change substantially. But of course that is just my opinion.

4 blocks with that PPS is insanely good luck for 3 days. It's not a typical experience.
