I've placed orders for additional H boards on the 19th, 24th and 25th.  And by the looks of my order numbers and the number of units left in the store, very few people seem to making additional purchases.  I can't believe people haven't snapped-up the remaining stock in minutes.  What gives?*

*Please, no discussion of ROI is necessary if you respond to my post.  I've heard it ALL!  And am completely bored with annoying ROIer rants.

I don't know about everyone else, but i'm running out of money. heh,

I haven't spent any "money" on these recent orders.  I'm using this exciting new form of currency called Bitcoin!  I "mine" for BTC with my existing hardware and then use that BTC to buy new mining gear.

It's quite exciting but a bit complicated.  There's a forum where you can learn all about it ... https://bitcointalk.org/.  Check it out!   Grin

Very funny Smiley I've mined 11 BTC so far, I only have 5 to show for it. I spent the rest on hardware. I'm trying to accumulate some BTCs So i prefer to spend Fiat now. and the supply is getting low.

If you read that link that my sister sent you, you'll find a discussion of the imager that "was recommended". and much. much more, along with step by step instructions of how to do everything and where to get everything.

I have 1 in my order #13X and another in #8XX. That will satisfy me until whatever comes next (28nm? price drops? stock OC'd cards/more reliable chip?)

from 3 cards I expect to run 105 Ghash/s

Lol, you've got 4.50 more BTC than I have right now.  All I've got is what BTCGuild generated since my last Bitfury order yesterday evening.  And because of the recent difficulty jump, it's going to take even longer to generate enough to buy anything.  Sad

But I did just get 4 Bitfury USBs from eBay today (I didn't use BTC for that purchase).  Now I've just got to figure out how to install a VM with Ubuntu so I can run the Linux version of BFGMiner to get them to work.   Undecided

FWIW, I'm waiting to see what happens to pricing in November. Already have 2 full kits ordered for October, and don't feel like spending any more for that month.

I have a starter kit from August but I am sitting on buying new boards. Just too expensive for the amount GH/s. I have spent enough hobby money. Need a return or to at least break even.

I have 4 full kits, two paid for and two waiting to process CC. I'm seriously having second thoughts about the second two. All the charts are saying 3ish btc per full rig a month after 4 months...

If any of the other competitors announce/show a working chip (HF, KNC etc), I believe MBP will get a lot of refund requests as the pricing was based on the fact that they were the only game in town (well, besides BFL).  If any of the competitors add PTHs to the network hash rate, that 1TH becomes 1GH and that 200TH mine becomes 200GH mine.  So we really have a very short window (a month?) to recoup cost of October MBP hardware.  MBP will be forced to cut their pricing or use the hardware to mine themselves.

These H-cards for October delivery should really be $350, like they were originally priced.  Difficulty went through the roof, but the pricing was kept constant for the last 3 months.  This does not add up.

This is a one of the many negatives with pre-orders.  You have a to pick a price and stick with it until the product is available.  Where as Asicminer can adjust prices every two weeks because they are constantly shipping.
Right - the $350 would have been much more competitive and ROI friendly.  But it's hard to predict when you have a 2 month wait.  At least in the BTC mining world.

I have not heard anything about the mining income for delayed august kits, even though it looks like at least one person has (based on a quote about 2-3 pages back).

i'd love to use the income towards a future purchase, especially if there are any discounts or similar for returning customers. even a bonus EOL board would be really cool. (im a little jealous that many of the first half of the august starters got 25-35ghash worth from 2 boards :p)

Its comin'...

It's coming pretty slow.

1) Have all the August orders finished shipping ?
2) When might we expect the initial October orders to begin shipping ?
3) How is the USB stick project coming along ? Looking forward to placing orders for those.

Cheers.

See Xian's post above, lol.  I have 7 H boards ordered for October so I'm a little impatient.  But yes, my Starter +1 is hashing along nicely.  I just want to get the other boards in on the fun too.  Smiley

anyone using slush pool?

general consensus is that slush's pool cannot handle bitfury devices. (dont know why, but noone seems able to do better than 30% of their optimal hashrate)

its suggested to avoid btcguild due to thier massive network percentage. bitminter is a good site, and mines namecoins as well

I'd say avoid Slush's until 2.0 goes up.
