all right .. but are this project alive ? when smart contracts ? have active developers ? because i want to buy some . maybe this is the right time how much cost now  1 dero =  $ ?

First you made a judgement about a project that's 4 months old and already delivered more than some others in a year. Then you admit you did NOT do any research about the state of judged project and say you want to buy in. Does that make sense to you? Please do your research next time my friend.  Smiley

P.S.: This is definitely the right time to buy in btw. Dero's gonna fly as soon as DVM comes alive.  Wink

DERO: Privacy + Smart Contracts

Dero at present is a code fork of Monero (Helium Hydra) with the Bytecoin CryptoNote protocol.
Dero will be a completely new blockchain technology integrating the CryptoNote protocol with new smart contract controls.
Dero is being rewritten from C++ to Golang (Google Language) to bring together CryptoNote and smart contracts on the Dero blockchain.
No ICO just hard POW mining Smiley

CryptoNote protocol implementation in Golang is almost completed.

Hello everyone,

This is the official "green light" from the Dero development team letting you know that it is okay to start your pools again. The following is a direct quote from our lead developer.

You can give green signal just ask them to run daemon without any options and open pool daemon port  18090 to broadcast blocks found.

Please feel free to reach out any time if you require any assistance.

Regards,
Serena

You're also no longer required to use exclusive or priority nodes on startup and you're able to sync using derod normally again. Please make sure you're updated to the latest version available

Official pool don't see my wallet. Why?

The front end of the pool is not showing "your stats and payment history" or the worker stats page but the back end is still mining and sending payments successfully.

The pool is in the process of having 4 new servers added to it and when that is finished the software will be updated to resolve any issues.

Hello everyone,

For those of you who may not know me, I'm very fortunate to be the community manager for the Dero Project. This is a general update to let everyone know what's going on since we know not everyone has time to follow every post, join us in Slack, and so on (though we encourage you if you're interested).

*The recent fork issue is resolved to the point where we're encouraging all pool operators to go online. Individuals are no longer required to start their daemon using extra nodes and you may start by simply using derod again. There will be some continuing work to improve stability but the root cause has been discovered and fixed in both codebases.

*We have been accepted to SouthXchange, paid the listing fee, confirmed all of the details and are waiting to be listed now (several days have elapsed already Smiley ).

*The official pool is already in the process of undergoing a substantial hardware upgrade that will be accompanied by a software upgrade to preempt future requirements.

*The block explorer has been shifted to golang and will still require a few tweaks but is otherwise live and operational.

*The roadmap is still on track, including the Q1 roadmap with any recent hiccups seen in the network.

*There are several well known pools coming online to help provide exposure and further decentralize the network over the next 2 weeks.

To add on to --Serena--'s post, Monerise Pool for Dero has been online for 2 days now and we have been finding blocks on a regular basis without any networking issues. Our average pool effort is currently at an efficient 69% and our fees are at 0.01%. We are committed to this fee for 2018 and it is not a short promotional stunt to gain traction. We hope to maintain this pricing for longer with your support!

You can connect online to a daemon from wallet, for example
Code:
dero-wallet-cli.exe --daemon-host seeds.dero.io
that would not download the BLOCKCHAIN?

We have two known nodes now

Does anyone have a bunch of dero they'd consider unloading?

I would like to do an OTC trade to purchase between 700 and 1600 dero.

I am happy to pay about what it would cost to throw some nicehash at this.  However I'd prefer to do an OTC rather than nicehash for various reasons, including that it is better for the network and community to pay actual miners.  I'm also a miner of dero btw.

Happy to consider smaller amounts too, in case I can accumulate that much by purchasing from multiple parties.  PM me, please, if interested.

The pool is in the process of having 4 new servers added to it and when that is finished the software will be updated to resolve any issues.

NB - my daemon - the new v6 one - still managed to get out of sync by 400+ blocks while running with the executive and priority nodes previously recommended by CaptDero. I just now restarted it without those nodes specified and it re-synced (without having to delete/replace data.mdb) and the 3 payments I was missing magically appeared.

So it's not just that you don't need to specify any exec or priority nodes, as you wrote a few posts back, it seems that you really shouldn't specify them now.

For the last hour or so I'm getting intermittent connection interruptions from the official pool.  It only happens for one line, then will resume mining.  First one was at 8:18am MST. Here is a quick list of the others:
8:24am
8:38am
8:54am

Is anyone else noticing similar interruptions?

BTW Serena great work keeping us up to date, love the project and your dedication.

Yep, my connection log in xmr-stak shows the same errors/times (plus a few more you didn't list). Doesn't seem to be a major issue at the moment.

Stocks.exchange seems to have a lot of problems with a lot of coins. Over the past few days the amount of DERO that can be withdrawn has varied from 0 to 39 (at least); right now it looks like the wallet is completely disabled.

The good news is that all of my transactions did go through... eventually.

Hello Shrimby1,

I've been investigating the connection issue on the official pool this morning. While it's in the process of having 4 new servers added to it we may see some odd connections and rule changes for miners/connections. That being said, it should all be in a positive direction since the connection issues are getting very close to the top of the priority list as the development team works through their immediate tasks.

Thank you for your positive feedback!!   Grin

Remember though, the development team are the heroes and I'm just the messenger!

In my case, my miners seem to working just fine, I didn't see any connections problems.
However the official pool has been having issues for the last couple of days to display
my stats and payment history. It keeps searching for my address and then times out.
It occasionally display the stats, but most of the time it doesn't, I regularly check the pool
during the day. Do we know the root cause or are devs still investigating it?
It's not a big deal, I receive the payments, but would be nice to have that fixed.

Hello mrtrevorphilly,

The root cause has been identified and the developers are working through their to-do list which does include the pool's front end. The server is in the middle of a hardware upgrade that should be completed very soon and that will be followed shortly after with a software upgrade.
