DERO: Privacy + Smart Contracts

Dero is currently operating as a code fork of Monero (Helium Hydra) with the Bytecoin CryptoNote protocol for the remaining 3 weeks of Q1. However, Dero has written a new blockchain technology based off the CryptoNote protocol with the next major step being new smart contract controls. Dero's new blockchain is coded in golang (Go) to bring together the CryptoNote protocol and smart contracts on the Dero blockchain.

There is no ICO, just hard POW mining.

The CryptoNote protocol implementation in golang is now complete and in closed alpha testing. The Q1 roadmap is on track to meet or exceed its goals.

I'm sorry that you're having issues with Stocks.Exchange. The team at SE does not always give us a prompt, or even clear reply regarding what's going on. This is objectively a problem, there's no doubt.

I appreciate the advice regarding potential new exchange leads and I can assure you that I've personally thoroughly reviewed all three you listed. We do have a listing on SouthXchange (https://www.southxchange.com/Market/List) coming shortly and while I can't discuss details regarding our discussions with exchanges, I can tell you with 100% certainty that future exchange listings are not going to be an issue.

That's useless. Dero needs a big exchange to break through. Although technology behind it is interesting, it's super low volume and it can never get sufficient attention.

Difficulty has been quite high the last week, but it just went full retard: a single RX 570 is now mining less than 1 DERO per day, at an exchange price of ~$0.44US. Normally I'd look at the high hashrate and difficulty increase as validation of a coin's prospects/value, but this feels forced.

I'm not going to stop mining it, but I am definitely reducing the hashrate allocated to it; that is the prudent course of action when some whale comes stomping down on the little minnow miners.

Their focus is on development before hype.  I think this is a great methodology.  Best example I can think of is everybody's favorite Tron, it is actually doing well staying on track with it's goals and producing good news but get's no attention or price reward because everybody got burned on the massive hype it got in the beginning.  I really appreciate the fact that the Dero team isn't worried about what exchange will get them attention, and are just staying focused on the product.  If you build it, they will come

How about because it's kind of sleazy. Oh, sure, the terms of service might say that website operators must notify visitors that their computer will be used to mine a cryptocurrency in exchange for the content on the site, but in practice a lot don't bother. Frankly, it's just one step up from botnets of compromised servers that are now mining Monero.
