tinnvec - What settings are you using? I can't seem to get much more than this out of a stock i7 3820:

5ch/h: 528.74 - 6ch/h: 39.05

I've using -d 8 -s 2000000 at the moment, looks like I'm far off the mark.

EDIT - although looking at your output it looks more like v4 output rather than v5, my results above are on v5

Yeah that was v4 at default settings and stock clock speed on my i7 3770k

Testing v5 now, got a long day of driving ahead, so I'll report back tonight when I get home with results

This is to Mumus

I have an 8 core Amd 8350 running v 4 on 4 cores and v5 on the other 4 cores.

Having run it now for about 45 minutes I found on V4 18 6ch shares, no 7ch
On the v5 instance I have gotten only 10 6ch shares and no 7ch.

Although the time is maybe short, that is a significant difference in speed and V4 is clearly more efficient than V5. However I like the V5 interface...

Te PPS on both is about 15000

Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps......

Thanks for the hard work....

Update: 2 hours mining

V4 = 34 shares  PPS = 17500
v5 = 32 shares PPS = 10500

I switch from V4 to V5 about the time the pool stopped taking 5ch shares, so I'm not sure if it was better or not...

During the last 20 hours, my XPM/block has varied greatly, while my share/block has steadily decreased.  The odd thing is that the 2 don't go together. (see below)

I didn't know how to have 2 'y' axis datum points, so the XPM was multiplied by 10000.  Actual XPM per block range .006381-.076052.

I optimized this build a bit further.. especially for slower CPU's, dual core etc.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/z8s7wbm0sg3mvnq/jhPrimeminer.zippy

Ex. jhPrimeMiner.exe -s 100000 -t 2 -o http://ypool.net:10034 -u cabin.xpm_1 -p x

On a 2.9Ghz Intel Duo E7500 I see:
Shares/h: 35.80 - 5ch/h: 179.02 - PPS: 1429 - Best: 4.940110 - Max: 6.566634

Note that the PPS stat now shows primes per second again, not attempts per second.

Is it best version for my i3-2125? Can you tell me best settings for it?

P.S. How much I have to pay, if you agree to unlock your miner for solo mining? Or maybe I will have to ask the pool developers or both you and pool?

Similar experience on this end...V4 is much better for me atm.

I'd like an answer on the putty thing, when I close it jhprimeminer seems to stop running.

This is my V4 from the prior 24 hours.

12.6 XPM V4, 10.86 V5.  Might be too close to call, but V4 does have the current edge.

I'll put in my results with v4, basically all stats dropped but most noticeably, my val/h dropped by half.
I have to agree that v4 is better than v5 by quite a bit

nohup (i.e. "no hangup")

"nohup wine jhPrimeminer.exe -o http://ypool.net:10034 -u username -p password"

Logs output to the file nohup.out. Then list found shares:

"cat nohup.out | grep SHARE"

Hi,
Regarding to the best settings I can't really help. Peoples in the chat room may be able to help you more. I set as default for the miner the best I could find with my CPU but this seems to vary for everybody. I didn't had enough time to make testing with v5 where the val/h calculations was corrected and also the pool difficulty was raised to 6. All of this can influence the overall performance.
Regarding to solo mining, you don't have to pay. We've talked about and it's planned to be implemented.
Lately I just simply don't have enough time. (job/kids)

My 10th block found, but first not orphan and first in the pool. It is:

http://ypool.net/stats.php?a=bd&nr=1821
94315 ZAX 11.79 118 893 32 549 03.08 - 02:32 2 771
94315 0.040055 33 03.08 - 02:32 2 746

Just from this night. But can't do it with ugly original client !!! Who is sucker now? Again it's owner and builder original XPM wallet client! Never updated from him and never do any for good miner...

P.S. Ofc I take just 0.04 from my ~12 and I have just 5 XPM total for now... Not good deal... But still beter from 0 XPM...

The one thing I've noticed about v5 to v4 is if you have a very fast machine (overclocked 3770k or overclocked 3930k or E5645 Xeon), with the default settings, it seems to find lots of 7's, 8's and 9's than v4 although much less shares overall.  V4 got a random high chain, it's more commonplace in v5 with those machines.  That said, v4 got more shares, which seems to be better for the lower end machines (I have some quad core APU's and a laptop i7 sandy brdige) that like v4 much better, perhaps because they weren't going to get those high chains anyway.

Could be a settings thing.  I'll explore early next week when I have some time.

NOOB.

With all the programs like CGminer, BFG miner, Diablo, easyminer, etc, how can you expect the wallet to have the best mining solution?

Sunny was kind enough to include a miner with his wallet, mainly because it was a radical change from other coins and none of the current miners would work.

So, did Sunny ever say he was such an uber-programmer that no one could improve on his design? Nope.  There's just the NOOB crying cause he wasn't smart enough to figure this out before.

Maybe you need to read up on HOW orphan block are formed so you are at least an INFORMED NOOB, instead of the CLUELESS NOOB you currently are.

After running v5 for a night and v4 again I have to say v4 is better for my older i7/860/3.22/win7/64.

v5 after 15 hours ...
6-chain count: 386
7-chain count: 39
Max diff: 8.48245

v4 after 15 hours ...
Diff : 9.231618
6CH count: 868
7CH count: 110
Max diff: 8.93868

v4 settings -s 2500000 -d 16 -t 7 <-- so I can GPU mine.
