Has anyone thoroughly scanned and verified this?  Bitdefender is blocking the webpage for me citing malicious software.

.zip / .exe passed scans on virustotal and joti:

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/165e200f8d071e7b6941ffad38e0e34cf03d44590a47b4e23f3d9fd487a7fc75/analysis/1374065937/

http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/67febf89217acf9401c8b8d2567f6cacaadb8e1c

I'll test the pool on my vpn box and take a closer look at it.

URL: ypool.net shows as 'malicious' with Websense ThreatSeeker (could just be a false positive):

Thanks.  I'd like to check it out, but it's not very often BD blocks a page for me.  It's likely a false positive, I just want to make sure.

...

http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/ and http://quttera.com/detailed_report/ypool.net currently think the URL is OK

So, just need to consider the fairly long wait for payouts with the pools 3400 block confirmations for Primecoin etc.

Looking for reports from existing ypool.net Feathercoin miners...

Run it in Wine.

I just noticed my main desktop got stuck at a point where it was not reporting new work or primes/s. Now, I'm going to have to go and check all of my other machines as well. It'd be nice if shares had a time stamp on them to report their acceptance.

After having my jhPrimeminer freeze on my main computer I decided to check the rest of my rigs running it. 4/5 of them had stopped hashing / priming overnight. Two of them refused to return primes/s, but were still running at 100% cpu, one returned getwork failure error 0, and the last was returning 100% rejected shares. I restarted all of them after posting earlier, come back, and now my desktop is returning 100% rejected shares. I just restarted that and I'll watch over it here a little more closely to see if it keeps running.

Timestamps on shares for the client and workers online for the website are absolute must haves.

2.1 from ypool website.

EDIT: One hour later, my desktop is reporting 100% rejected shares again. I'm going to check all of my other rigs here shortly and if they've stopped mining I'm going back to solo mining.

.zip / .exe passed scans on virustotal and joti:

Virustotal is a great service to see if something has been accidentally infected. But if you wanted to send someone malware, you'd be really stupid to send something that Virustotal finds, since just about everybody checks that. So for that purpose it is useless.

You probably knew that, but I'm just putting it out there for the newbies. Just in case anyone thinks Virustotal can detect malware universally (it can't; it just checks against a list of known ones).

It's also cool to provide sources, but compiled .lib files could contain malware. Would be better to link to their source or reference their repo.

I am running on I7-4770 win 8 64bit system.

About 50% of the shares are rejected by the server, is it normal?

Rejections are a decent amount.  Ive had like 400 out of 1100 rejected.  Nice to have a pool.  Its only going to get better.

A new version (0.31) is out today!

From github history:

Code:
New network protocol, speed improvements

I added a new binary based protocol similar to Stratum, called
'x.pushthrough'. Compared to the previous getwork() implementation it
reduces traffic by more than 90% and number of connects per minute by
98%. It has some other nice features which will be described in detail
in the coming specification.

I also started to tweak some OpenSSL functions to get more speed, the
miner should be about 20-30% faster now.

Let's give it a try... Wink

If somebody want to give a try I made some modifications to the jhPrimeminer and I think  at least 2 times faster than the current release.
Source https://github.com/hg5fm/jhPrimeminer
Compiled 64bit version with all the dependencies https://github.com/hg5fm/jhPrimeminer/blob/master/src/jhPrimeminer-GMP.zip
Edit: Moved the binaries to on Dropbox: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1189851/jhPrimeminer-GMP.zip

What do you mean on "antivirus went off"? I've just submitted the .exe file from the zip to some online antivirus scanners and found no problems. http://r.virscan.org/report/1dd9f52c4f970778a2a156de36655e03.html

Whenever I build these from source using MS Visual Studio Express 2012 it always comes out way slower than the binaries others produce. Is there some compiler flag that need to be added? I'm doing Release x64 builds.

Edit: Actually the branch from hg5fm fixes the problem and runs great when I compile my own.. my bad!

Edit2: I love the new stats as well:

Using x.pushthrough protocol
