I've posted a new beta v3.1 that removes the hard coded share values. Share value now only reported on block summary. I've also created a single dropbox folder for all my releases now - so only a single link to check: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sq24hzo993afy9c/l7icP0KiuMNo performance difference to beta v3 only the display update. I would really like to get this running under native linux. Can you provide the source so we can try to compile it under linux? Thanks. Source is forked on github: https://github.com/rdebourbon/jhPrimeminerCool - thanks.

@Cabin: Your build doesn't work under wine for me.
yeah, not working for me, either. Sounds like the one I'd want to try. Wish you guys were compiling on linux. I might have to break down and try my hand at trying to get some of your changes into the repo that's compiling on linux now. (that will take a long time I'm sure) I've heard that.. unfortunately I don't know why my build would be different. I've seen two versions of mpir.dll floating around... maybe try the dll from mumus's build? Rdebourbon also removed the problematic fastdiv test so his build will be similar to mine too. My only other speed change is noticing CPrimalityTestParams.fFermatTest is always false, and so you can follow the code and eliminate function params and if branches that are never used.

Thank you very much for your work. WARNING - Avast Says this file have VIRUSAvast flags everything as a virus. I really have no clue why anyone uses it. flags cgminer, now rde's build... prob cause some goofball ran it on a corporate network and another admin picked it out. I had to tell MalwareBytes to quit quarantining this, too. My guess is someone's using it in a botnet.

Hi, I am running jhprimeminer the precompiled linux version by bengtåke or clintar (not trough wine!). I am running it on my VPS Ubuntu 13.04 x64 linux server and I noticed a big difference in pps when: - I run it foreground = average 3000-4000 pps (EDITED) - or when is it running the background = average 1000-2000 pps (EDITED)So if I leave my ssh session open and the jhprimeminer is running in foreground I get double speed. But I can't have it open all the time... I also tried to run it as a daemon (daemonize), and also used renice commend to se the priority to -20 (maximum). With no significant improvement. Does anybody know why is this happening and if it is possible to run it at full speed even if it's in the background? EDIT: I corrected the wrong pps for fg and bg (swapped them)I ran into this problem when I was originally working with jhPrimeminer on a headless linux box. The problem seems to be with wine: if you run a console application in the background and attempt to capture the output, the wineconsole process eats 50% of the CPU. The only solutions I've come up with are 1) nohup the miner and never see the output or 2) output directly to screen and never disconnect. :\ On an unrelated note, the reason you see so many extra characters in the log files (and the reason they're so hard to grep) are because of all the control characters.

I had to tell MalwareBytes to quit quarantining this, too. My guess is someone's using it in a botnet.
Someone popped into the ypool.net chat yesterday and was pretty pissed off that he had downloaded some 'loaded warez' that opened up a hidden miner for Primecoin. Then on mcxNow I saw some fools daring each other to download a 'GPU Primecoin BETA miner' which was so obviously malware! I would say that these two things are related. So yeah, my guess is that all miners will soon be detected as a virus with all major AV vendors, thanks to the actions of f*cktard's who think that they can get rich out of mining with botnets (which consist of kids using mom and dad's laptop -- THINK OF THE POWER!).

Can anyone recommend some tuning settings for a system with 2 quad core Xeons?
The chat seems to be indicating we want our SPS down and our ACC up. Is that correct?
Thanks,

newly compiled 32bit linux version from https://github.com/tandyuk/jhprimeminerhis addresses to donate to/thank him are XPM: AYwmNUt6tjZJ1nPPUxNiLCgy1D591RoFn4 BTC: 1P6YrvFkwYGcw9sEFVQt32Cn7JJKx4pFG2 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/105316582/jhprimeminerRDEBeta3-32.gzHere's a 64bit version, too https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/105316582/jhprimeminer-RDEbeta3.gzSeems to be a lot better than running under wine, at least the 64bit version. I only have access to a 32bit virtual machine atm that i compiled it on, and it didn't seem to perform very well, but try it out and let us know how it does. It's still rough. Keyboard input is weird. Have to type a letter and hit enter, and some don't map the same as the wine version. he'll be working on it tomorrow i think.

I know you said you only made display changes, but my cpu's performance can't possibility be attributed to bad luck with that kind of drop. I changed it back to beta 3 and my performance immediately recovered. I used the exact same .bat file on both setups.
