CSC mining contest now started.
Reward 0.25 BTC
More info here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=371707.0

Scam contest, you can't win because someone else will have bought more Kh/s than you.

We are not here to scam users.. If a user decides to buy kh/s thats up to them and they have to keep it mining for more then 2 days of the contests to have a chance to win.

The way I see it is this. You start a contest that only the person with the highest kh/s can win, hoping to intice more and more people with higher and higher kh/s to your pool. You skim your 2% pool fee or whatever it is off of their work during the contest period, netting you more profit from the skim than from what the final prize is (theoretically), thus making money off the contest. As is, the normal person like me with a couple GPUs I use primarily for gaming will never be able to win, though you still dangle the hope in front of them like a fish on a hook.

That's the scam.

Don't fall for it, don't mine for his stupid contest.

Mine CasinoCoin with the CasinoCoin Slashers, daily backups, fast transactions, block finder rewards, secured server!

UPDATE: http://www.casinocoin.coinarmy.com

We made it! First off let me apologize for my earlier word of victory. I now realize the depth at which it takes to run a pool. So for that I am sorry.

...

Also for those of you that are having been with us since the begining, you have to change your PIN. Email us what you want your pin to be and we will change it. We will be getting a Change Pin feature added very soon.
What is your email address? The cscsupport@coinarmy.com does not work.

CoinArmy appears to be completely defunct. I'd find a new pool if I were you. Moopool.com could use some extra hashes Smiley

Your are right it is a bit of a marketing play, that being said after costs of equipment and time spent to maintain a pool the ops have the right to take a fee for providing the service. The fee rate is up to them too. We will probably be at a loss by the end  of the contests but that is how marketing works... you loose to gain.

Sick of bad or laggy CASINOCOIN pools?  Want a dedicated solution with quick payments, and an administrator who knows what he's doing?

CSC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM

Running Mpos/stratum, on a dedicated server with gobs of cpu, memory, and network resources.  Lag no more my friends... come and mine and be rich.

other pools include:

glc.dedicatedpool.com - global coin
gdc.dedicatedpool.com - grand coin

Wow guys the community has shown that they wanted a proper site.  We now account for 15%-20% of the ENTIRE NETWORK HASH of Casinocoin.  I have properly implemented this pool - I'm an engineer.  I have everything being synced and backed up off-site every 30 minutes in case of failure to a redundant dedicated server.

Let's take our mining seriously.  CSC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM allows you to do that.  SAY NO MORE TO sites that "lose databases," feel laggy, stratum disconnects, down half the time, or just feel "Mickey Mouse".  We are the real deal - now get out and mine!

Thanks for choosing to mine on DEDICATEDPOOL.COM!

These guys are for real. I've been there for about 10 hours getting paid like clockwork. Go see the stats, my user is the same as here. Thanks guys for running a real operation. CSC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM ftw.

Fuck you, coinarmy for stealing  near 1k of my coins. Karma is a bitch and I hope it hits you like a mack truck.

CSC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM seems ok thanks for that.

Coinarmy deleted my account with all my coins in it...

No worries dude.  Everything is backed up every 30 minutes on DEDICATEDPOOL.COM.  I got so upset at all these bad pools that I finally had to put one up to properly mine without interruption.  Mine with us and we'll make sure you're taken care of.

However you should always set an auto transfer of at around 100-200 coins.  Don't let them pile up.  Get a wallet on your PC or send them to an exchange!

This is excellent advice. Better yet, backup and encrypt your local wallet as a "savings account" and use a second wallet to transfer to and from on a daily basis. Google "wallet.dat security" for more info.

Perhaps we should consider a separate thread for pool talk so that this one is not littered with it.

Good idea, seems like a lot of pools are springing up, I'll make a thread.

I have tried to email the address you list above twice and both times it has bounced back.  I sent a PM as well if that is easier.

Thanks!

Earlier today I expressed some frustration (using some unnecessary foul language, sorry about that guys) directed towards the coinarmy pool regarding the lack of communication during their technical difficulties. After communicating with them via pm they have shown that they are prepared to make good on any unpaid coins mined during that time. I'd suggest pm'ing or emailing the working addy coinarmy@gmail.com if you mined there during that period and they will take care of you.
