That's a good amount money to invest, you can double or triple up within 3 months. but you have to invest in right coin. But don't lisen people blindly, do some own research before putting the money. Here is my portfolio would look like.

1. Neo - 20%
2, Lisk - 20%
3. XLM - 20%
4. Wabi - 10%
5. MCO - 10%
6. RPX - 10%
7. TRX - 5%
8. DBC - 5%

Good luck.

Just buy COLX. It'll make you RICH with that much money and it's low price. Of course, you'll help my cause too. I own a few.😁 But seriously I'd look into Walton Chain (WTC).

If I were you I'd probably search precicely for a decent ICO project and join it's whitelist for a most suitable cap. So it's better to monitor upcoming ICO projects and pick one or two to invest.

The only thing I tell you is that you need to maximally differentiate your investment portfolio. Do this:
30% in half Bitcoin and Ethereum,
40% select pieces of 5 coins from the top 20,
30% choose in your opinion 5 little-known but promising projects from the top 200.
The most win-win option!

Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term?
How long should I hold it?

Is there a risk that I might lose it all?

I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  Huh

I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea?
In my opinion ,ethereum is a safe coin to invest in the long term. You can hold it for atleast one year. It has a great potential. You should remember there is a great risk in cryptocurrencies. Litecoin is also good, but according to me ethereum is good as compare to litecoin. Always invest in more stable coins.

If you say there is no risk in our life…it’s wrong! We are surrounded by many kinds of risk.
Crtpyo currency is a digital & decentralized currency, no bank or government controlling it.
So its better to reduce risk to buy some top coin like BTC,ETH,DAT,CAT etc…& split your money.
Hope you will be not in loss…if one coin goes in loss than other will secure you.

That is a lot of money so I would split the protfolio. Some in btc and eth to stay safe and some of that money in altcoins like ardr, bnt, gbyte.

DOn't just buy one coin spread it over various coins. Start small and work your way up. Don't over-invest in something incase something happens and you lose the whole lot instead of only a percentage. Never go all in with anything in life if you want to play it safe I always say.

First I want to say that there is a risk in any cryptocurrency.
I would advise you to invest something like this:
50% in Bitcoin;
25% in Litecoin;
25% in the Ethereum.
I think that it is necessary to make long-term investments in these crypto-currencies.

i agree on this one. Good coins.

For 5 Coins in top 20 I like

LTC; Charlie Lee is the most honest man in Crypto (and knows everyone- background is a major player in Coinbase) - Check out his twitter feed - seems an amazing guy:
https://twitter.com/SatoshiLite?

I also like NEO; China's ETH but with more room to grow.

For the little-known projects I like:
XSPEC - Why? Read this:
https://medium.com/@CryptoHODLERS/xspec-is-it-a-gem-891c42a69dbb

I also like ENJ- a great gamer coin again with room to grow.

ARK, WAVES, PHR and PRL also look interesting..

I am more advocated for ethereum, eth tends to be stable in the rate of decline and grow slowly but surely. This is one of the advantages of ethereum. I guess you can try to share it for investing on some ico. I think there is ico who really deserve to invest.

Definately include lisk.

A huge update is coming on Feb 20th, with a rebranding and much more. This is one of the biggest updates of the year imo.

A project like Lisk needs to focus on delivery, not branding.  If it thinks branding is the way forward, it signals the managment are more interested in image to drive price, than platform function and service to drive value.
