If you are serious about investing for long term, I will advice that you safe yourself of all the stress of new project and go right ahead investing in bitcoin and ethereum. Hold them for at least minimum of four years. You should be in good profit by then.

Never need to invest all the money in one coin. It is better to choose 4-5 reliable ones, for example, NEM, NEO, Ripple. Tezos and ETH. These projects have unique products I think this is a reliable investment.

NEO will be best thing. its supply is so lower than etherium. So if etherium reaches $5000 then NEO will reach same. as you are looking for longterm surely you can get 20X with NEO. its $240K to you. but i suggest you to invest in ICON, WAN and VEN too. you will be a millionaire easily. always be diversified. it worked for me well. hold them in a wallet. do not keep in exchanges. goo luck for your investment

1 or 2 of them can be wildcards. 5-20 mil marketcap. They have the most potential for high grows. But they could also fall and die

12000$ is quite a lump. To be on the safe side it's better to diversify your portfolio. I would invest 50% in Bitcoin and make it a long term HODL for a couple of years. Other 25% I would transfer for purchasing promising coins like Fusion (FSN) or Tezos (XTZ)..
