Alternatively, hold some firm coins like Ethereum , Neo when their prices are low so that you have huge room for growth.

I would invest such a sum in Ethereum or Bitcoin. They are guaranteed to grow. But I hardly find the time to name it. I hope Eferum at the beginning of summer will cost 1200-1500.

there is no safe coin in my opinion because all the coins fluctuate up or down every day,
litecoin is a good coin and one of the pioneer coins of cryptocurrency, but in my opinion you better invest in ethereum than in litecoin, because there are so many ico that use ethereum platform than litecoin platform, in terms of price ethereum is much more stable than with litecoin

When you have plan to make invest in cryptocurrencies for long term, you have to know and understanding about fundamental of the coins. And buy and hold minimum 2 different coins, Litecoin in my opinion one of the coin that have good and strong fundamental, others coins is for sure BTC, DASH, XLM and ETH. All these coins enable to going up multiple times.  But by look in to history of many price action of crypto , actually swing trading is more promising profit than hold.

My first advice would be to check everything yourself and trust your intuition after you do all the necessary research. I personally believe that the safest bet is to invest in Bitcoin almost everything, around 90% and 10% of the money in other altcoins, Litecoin, if you want.

I think I will go for Ethereum. Ethereum price wasn't high price value as bitcoin yet this token is one of the most in-demand tokens especially if there was a new ICO in the market. Most token for investments too was ethereum.

If I were you I'd probably search precicely for a decent ICO project and join it's whitelist for a most suitable cap. So it's better to monitor upcoming ICO projects and pick one or two to invest.
