Hi All,

Prolly a silly question, but i'm in the UK, so when wouldbe the best time to start mining, I think it's around 11pm UK time, For me to get the full 24 hour cycle ?
Unpaid balances carry over, so start time is irrelevant unless you only want to mine for one pay cycle (in which case, you'd have an unexchanged/immature balance left sitting there after payout, anyway -- I guess stopping mining a few hours before next pay cycle would minimize unpaid balance when you leave the pool). ASAP is generally the best time to start mining. Wink

Thanks, I always thought you would lose the short day mine, happy that it carries over.  Cheers

Hi,

hmm not sure why you would want to start a a specific time  Huh

well I have a guess:

you just read the FAQ and saw daily payout only if you are over 0.01 and you are worried that if you do not get this, then all your "trying" is lost? (a friend of mine thought this at least......).
If so: no. if you do not meet daily payout minimum, then you keep your balance and the earnings from the next day comes on top. So the amount in the column "balance" is safe, no matter what. Its already exchanged into bitcoin and won't change in either direction.

If that was clear to you - well then I don't have a clue why you are worried about the best entry point:

long story very short:

>>    there is absolutly no drawback or advantage for any point of time to be choosen for the start. So just start right now ;-)

If you have any further questions or I was no real help for you, then please tell me why you are concerned about the entry point. I am happy to help you out Wink

by the way: you are near to the EU server of middlecoin (Ireland). Point your hardware to stratum+tcp://eu.middlecoin.com:3333    (you can add the "normal" us server as failover only)

best wishes from germany
exokk

#hm got some bad gateway problems to bitcointalk so my answer was already submitted by someone else

Lol, That was exactly what i was thinking after seeing the FAQ, Thanks!

h20 may want to fix the coin switching algorithm. Right now we're mining Dogecoin when its on 10:th place on CoinWarz, why aren't we mining the 9 others with far higher earnings?

we should start mining tagcoin I think, much more profits
There are other factors than looking at coinwarz. A lot of the faster coins have higher rejected/stale rates which coinwarz doesn't factor in. Tag had enough problems that multi pool removed it.

I'm liking the idea behind this pool, but so far it has been constantly causing problems with all my rigs, they keep switching to the fallback pool. (I need to get doge out of fallback rofl). It would be nice to know some more statistics about what the pool is doing, 3% is a hefty fee when we don't have any quality stats, graphs, details, etc.

Given the recent returns we've been having, I think it's safe to say H20 has it handled.

Still experiencing 'no new shares submitted for 2 minutes' with very regular timing; every 15 minutes or so it stalls, this is with same config that was previously working great. Something must be up with the pool, still. Switched to different pool until this can be addressed.

An update on what is actually happening would be nice.

I know we have had some very good days recently, but the jump from the past 24 hours seems massive, i have 0.0306 balance for 3.6 mh/s does see very low, or is that what the pool bring before the recent good times rolled?  My miners have been up pretty much up the whole period as its been switching between servers when they drop.

Yea, things are fairly unstable with my miners.  I'm going to try the .EU but are things being resolved on US server?

Hey, just an update for me.  I've been running my miners through .EU and it seems to be much more stable.  From what I've read, I'm sure the latency is caused by the large increase in demand for this pool.  I've been on this pool for a couple months and it's been great!  I love it because it's simple and the BTC is deposited directly to my wallet.  Awhile back I was with 50Btc and I lost a fair bit of BTC because of their hacking.... I wasn't happy about that!  But now... I can only hold myself responsible for any lost BTC's.

Is there any way to find out which currency is being mined through middlecoin?

Another thing I've noticed since switching to .EU is that my stats on the website are either really low or delayed/incorrect.  I've got 4m/hash going and I've only earned .02BTC in the last 18hrs.  I'm usually around .05btc.  My guess is that the site is just super bogged down and is unable to update... could this be?  I hope I'm still earning....
UPDATE:  I just refreshed middlecoin.com and my hash rate has updated.... while my balances haven't changed at all (even from hours ago).  Or the change has been soooo insignificant I can't even see it?  Whats going on? :S

Yes similar to my suspicions, seems like earnings may either been really bad or the site isn't showing them correctly

Although I understand we've been having very good days lately, I've been around since a little before then.  Considering the HUGE hashrate we have now compared to when I joined, I think that some of the balance isn't showing up.  Yesterday, the graph shows quite a jump at a random point in the day, with a drop in unexchanged that does not equal the amount gained.

The "balance" we have right now is similar to what we'd get with ~2 GH/s before the days of DOGEs, I think.  Not sure but the balance doesn't seem quite right.  I think that something just isn't updating.

From what I gather, h20 is probably going insane with all the growth and work necessary to keep things running.  He'll probably get around to fixing it at some point, if there's indeed a little bug.  We'll probably see a huge spike here sometime if I'm right.

EDIT: Or, I guess we could be getting screwed over by bad luck or whatever else.  Who knows, I guess.  Huh

Well got payment of 0.0330 for a near constant 3.7 mh/s, is that similar to what everyone else received?

I earned MAYBE .005 today and I was offline for 9 hours (you can see it in my personal graph) since my computer decided it needed to do an update and I wasn't home.  Reason you see a very low hashrate for a while is because my brother probably fired up his computer mid-morning and I have CGMiner set to run in the background/invisibly upon startup on his PC with a .vbs at low intensity so it doesn't affect performance much. (muahahaha)  Also, I've been having issues with frequent disconnects today.  Sometimes it'd reconnect right away, sometimes not.  Anyways, I looked in my PC's event log since I was really annoyed about the downtime while I was away and wanted to punch my monitor once I saw this in the log:

"Restart Required: To complete the installation of the following updates, the computer will be restarted within 15 minutes: - Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2835361)"

Of course it happened at 3 AM and I was at someone else's house...

I guess today wasn't so bad.  Just a below average one I guess?  This kind of close to what I earned before Doges and before I added another 150+ kh/s with my 6770.  If Bitcoin were closer to $1k I'd be happier though.  At least the slide stopped for now from what I've seen.  At $668/BTC according to Multibit's wallet I made about $48.04 since late Sunday evening/early Monday morning.  Thanks again h20!

Well at least we seem to get paid the same per kh/s, obviously just a bad day at the office

Yup, this was quite a bit lower than average (even the old average) however, we had quite a bit of downtime, plus I have a feeling our unexchanged balance is greater than it was at the start of the day.

Registered 10MH/s on the average but tonight's payment was only 0.06BTC. Significantly less than the average for the previous days, and significantly less than the unexchanged and exchanged balances we observed throught the day. Whatever we may be mining at this point no longer seems to be profitable. Can the pool administration please provide some feedback on what to expect going forward?

I just want to put a kibosh on those who are complaining or about to. People, we've had an incredible run these past few days, let's give kudos to H2O, he did an amazing job. The "low" payout today is the NORMAL. I have about 4 MHs and I remember getting 0.002 to 0.02 in November, on daily basis.

Get used to it, spoiled bratz!

PS: If you just joined the pool today or yesterday, my apologies.

Payouts will be delayed today until around 1 am PST.

do you happen to have any update on the progress of getting the site back into working order? Should I keep mining or shut down until you get things working again.
Thank you

Thank you

the site is working aside from the disconnect issues.  the frontend doesn't need to work for mining to continue.

Also everyone needs to realize that the last several days were so profitable because of DOGE spiking, which is an anomaly.  With that said LOT and BIL both just went to coinedup, maybe we should pillage them too.
