1000khash was just a example, I calculated my 2900khash & I'm getting about 50% of what others with 2900khash are getting.

Not sure if it's beacause my R9 290 has Thread concurrency: 27000, 29000, 29000. I: 20, 20, 20. -g 1 1 1.?
The above is what I have in cgminer, I think I read somewhere that these altcoins need lower values compared to litecoin?
should I put  Thread concurrency to 8192 and I 13, -g 2?

I think those stats are cumulative? Therefore there are large differences on last hour hash rate and paid BTC.

I just want to put a kibosh on those who are complaining or about to. People, we've had an incredible run these past few days, let's give kudos to H2O, he did an amazing job. The "low" payout today is the NORMAL. I have about 4 MHs and I remember getting 0.002 to 0.02 in November, on daily basis.

Get used to it, spoiled bratz!

PS: If you just joined the pool today or yesterday, my apologies.

Hey James,

I can only really speak for myself... and maybe a couple others.  But my general feeling is that were not complaining, but concerned more than anything... and I think that's based on lack of experience/knowledge on what's going on.  While I don't understand the in-depth technical side of middlecoin and scrypt currencies, I can appreciate exchange rates and outcomes.  Yes... we'll have good days and bad days.  Completely understandable!  Where I'm having a disconnect and/or lack of understanding is that my miners had been going strong for 12+hours with no change to my immature/unexchanged balances.  Regardless of how bad the exchanges are, shouldn't there be a slight change?

As mentioned before, I appreciate Middlecoin and what it has to offer!  Props to H20!  But I will agree with other members... and not that its required because I do enjoy Middlecoins simplicity... but it would be very beneficial and informative to know which currencies are being mined (unless I'm in the dark and you can be shown).  This may shed some light on the less educated (includes myself) and quick to judge people.

Only my 2 cents. Smiley

figure out the difficulty in cgminer(the new ones show the actual difficulty, older versions you need to do a bit of math), and then match it up with which coins are profitable and you'll have your answer.  H2o could be feeding us false difficulties supposedly, but the chances of a coin's reported difficulty matching a very profitable one while we are mining it is rather slim

A one week "test" is probably the bare minimum to accurately gauge the output from Middlecoin, two or three weeks would be much better.
But even with the longer period you still cannot do a direct comparison during the exact same period.  The ideal test would be 2 identical rigs mining different pools at the same time...over the same period.  Put one full rig at middlecoin and another identical rig (preferred same exact components, GPU's and config file) with the same setup at your other favorite pool and let them run side by side for 2-3 weeks. Then and only then will you have solid stats to decide which pool is bets for you.

It is sort of like comparing the MPG of 2 cars, yet the tests are quite different.  Maybe you carry 4 people with you vs 1, or buy your gas a different place, or drive in windy conditions vs calm, or drive faster or slower.  Accurate results require controlled tests.

I am very comfortable with Middlecoin and don't think that my return can be improved much without significantly more time and resources.  It really could not be any simplier and is the ultimate "set it and forget it" pool for mining.

I agree rudyo... I've thought about setting a rig to a different pool (is the only other one thats comparable, multipool?) to see what the results are..... but I've been happy with Middlecoin.

H20 has stated many times that he will not divulge the coin we are mining, if he does he gives away his competitive advantage. I agree 100% with him on this!  Middlecoin is NOT like any other pool, lets don't try to turn him into one.

If you must know what coin you are mining, there are many alternatives, hashco.ws or multipool come to mind.  They are very upfront with this info.

Good luck and SERIOUS kudos to H20 for amazing return...he clearly has some secret sauce, and I do NOT want to know what it is. :-)

So actually thats a big loss for a 4MH rig...with 0.002 BTC per day you cant even cover your electricity...whats the point? I got for 10 Hours constantly 1,2 MH about 0.009 btc and thats still fine compared to yesterday...

Before the latest payment I had a considerably higher amount already exchanged than what I actually was paid. This has not happened before and after completed payment, the difference is no longer visible anywhere.

This is troublesome.

Is it just me or does it look like we might be in for another good payday tomorrow?

PS: Loving Coinjar.io's fair_rate API and a few lines of python to signal best time to sell :-)

Hey mattd83
Being an Aussie myself, I had a look at the coinjar api, it only seems to tell you the price of BTC at the time.
Are you then deciding manually when the best time it is to sell?
Or is there more to your python script?

Hey,
Unfortunately it's only an indicator, but still better than hitting refresh and checking, at least this way I get an alert tone when it goes over 735 and can react. It's a bit crap that there is no API to access "Filler"...

PS: Being a python n00b I didn't automate further.

Can anyone suggest what to do to enable switching of pool's for cuda miner?

Current line:
cudaminer -l K12x16 -C 1 -H 1 -o stratum+tcp://eu.middlecoin.com:3333 -u 1ECmoHdVbdzLnsVjA89L9VBxnwbp4nMDZ1 -p x

Seems to be working Smiley Thanks...has anyone noticed hash rate slow downs, connection retries?

Yeah this python watcher prog is nice, if this pool stays up I'll be leaving it up. I can make some basic changes and alterations, but who knows how to make it do something cool like output to a usb screen?

Like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-8-TFT-LCD-module-LCD-sys-info-display-temperature-fan-AIDA64-LCD-Smartie-/121004607232
It's possible to do. Program wouldn't even be needed to be rewritten to C as I can see there is python driver available, although it needs some major(not sure how big, since didn't check the driver code) alterations to the code. I probably could do this but it'll be kind of troubling to test it as I don't own such display. If you're interested still then contact me through PM.

There are plenty of things which take output and graph them etc... eg.... like Munin...

Or are you simply looking for novelty?

It seems to me that Rick is looking for solution to display info on such LCD usb module, may it be from python watcher or custom graph from Munin, not solution to graph some data itself.

Theres a fair bit of overhead in designing this solution which is why I'm asking if the idea is novelty or for a serious purpose.

Of course it's a novelty but it's as serious as serious is monitoring data. As of now I'd agree that setting this up for only simple monitoring this pool's stats is a bit of overkill. However I'm in middle of writing console python program for displaying stats from any pool or exchange that provides its own webapi and probably could add support for displaying the data on such usb display, in that case this kind of solution would be a little more reasonable.

I've received dozens of payouts and have never seen this. How many BTC was the difference? Was the original higher balance showing in the graphs? What's your username on middlecoin?

But shouldnt everyone's bitcoin payout be relative?

So if someone has 1000khash and they get 0,01btc on 21dec 2:30am, then if another user has 3000khash he should get 0,03btc on 21dec 2:30am?

If one person mines for 24 hours and I mine for a week straight with an equal hash rate then it is entirely possible for me to get three times the payout on Dec 21st since coin I mined on Dec 15th could finally mature and pay out.  Another possible scenario is that the coin I mined on Dec 15th wasn't very profitable at the time I mined it, but the value tripled by the time it was exchanged.  It could go the other direction too.  Some crazy coin might be worth a fortune on Dec 21st, but by the time it gets exchanged on the 23rd it is near worthless.  The gain or loss on any kind of currency transaction is only theoretical until it changes hands.

Chad
