How do you reconize a coin switch?
I am assuming it is when a new block is detected with a new difficulty. Some coins retarget difficulty after every block, so a slightly different new difficulty doesn't always mean a coin switch. If the difficulty changes by 2x or 4x than that's probably a coin switch. cgminer/middlecoin seems to handle the retargeting OK, but an actual coin switch stops work for 10 to 15 seconds.

Very disappointing performance on US server.
US: Hash Rate: 1.17 MH/s Shares Last Hour: 126
EU: at least 1.5 MH/S and 160+ shares

But the EU is on DOGE right now. Where do you made the most profit?

I think Dogecoin is still better until h20 fix US server. Difficulty is down -17.49 % while market price is still at 0.00000042.

Is that true? What ping do you have?
Its very true. Try it yourself. Cgminer 3.7.2 happily switches to new coins with no issues with no failover set. My ping to the US server 100ms. you lose some earnings doing that with all the getwork fails that the gpu drops its usage to 0 in 1 hr i had 50 getwork fails and my gpu usage was up and down using load balance still have them but gpu usge stays maxed out.

When it comes to balance, keep in mind that immature & unexchanged are just estimates in BTC as their name state. If the market go down, your immature & unexchanged coins worth less.
Yes I know, and that's exactly my point, if the coins had been auto-exchanged like the pool states, then I would have gotten the original amount stated, rather than the decreased amount that happened when the value of the unexchanged coins went down. I don't think anyone can predict a coins value in advance. If you can then by all means please do. Lol, I wish I could predict the future price of a coin. But I'm not asking about future prices, I'm asking about the current estimate. If the current estimate says 1BTC then I should get 1BTC if I trade it right then and there. But if it says current estimate is 1BTC and I don't trade it then, then the value can go up or down, and in this case it went down since it wasn't auto-traded when it was the original estimate. I hope I'm making sense. As it states, it's an estimate based on the last known price... it does not predict the future. ex: last trade @ 0.05 with a volume of 1000, then nobody want it @ more than 0.04. You may want sell your coins as much as you want @ 0.05, if there is no market to buy them, you will have to wait or lower your price. Then you want to get the best price, but so other guys don't care and sell @ 0.04... and there we are, the last price fall @ 0.04, and your estimate go down. Conclusion, H2O keep the coin unexchanged longer to get a better price if possible... and if you look closer, you'll see that the red line increase usually more than the decrease in unexchanged coins, which is the sign of a good trade.

This looks like it's gonna be the worst day for me in the pool. Located in EU using the US server. decided to test this. And it looks horrible. using the load balance command too, and the fixed cgminer for middlecoin. Think I'll swap back tonight before I go to bed.

I've had similar rates: http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/14Cdwieeud1tno3Vutm4Hv9RF2ytyJWPLz.htmlUsing load-balancing on everything for most of the last 18 hours, before that EU only. I think the hit to DOGE over the last couple days has the EU profitability down. Switching to just the US server about 2 hours ago has my unexchanged going up faster, not helping my balance though. Altcoins in general have done badly the last day or two, so I would not expect a good payout until they recover.

Yeah, idk i was solid on the eu servers, I switched over to US (located in US) 2 days ago and it has killed my hash rate consistency, so many disconnects and rejected, even if at the same speeds US is higher. For me i think EU is better with my much more consistent hashing. And it's not like DOGE is way down the list on profitability, still pretty high. http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1DW5wqCgTL7Ts3y1JZufvv6gUVXi7WC778.html

What load balancing are you guys talking about?
I had US and EU pools both in my .conf file and set load-balance to true

Well been running on the US server with the load balance option set since about 7am PST this morning and it seems to be leveling out I started the morning running around 1.78KH/s and over the last couple of hours its been stable at 2.1KH/s still down from what I normally run at around 2.4 - 2.5KH/s but my unexchanged and my balance amounts are going up like they were when I was only mining on the EU server.
My rejects seem to be down as well.
Currently running non modified cgminer 3.1

I didnt read through this whole thread so I apologize if this has been mentioned.
Two questions/comments about this pool.
1. Has anyone done any calculations that show roughly how much more profit can be made mining here vs mining BTC directly? (I realize that mining BTC with GPU now is pointless, but Id like to see this compared to something) Maybe even converted to USD?
2. How hard would it be to modify the pool to allow a user to be paid out in BTC or LTC? This may make things more difficult than its worth but its a suggestion.

That would require another exchange, which would add to the fees. Why not do it yourself Mining btc directly would be 1000% less efficient.

I make about 0.04 BTC per day with 5MH/s I'd make less than 0.00001 BTC per day mining BTC directly.
