big talk from someone who doesnt even have a chip in hand.
Seems like sufficient credentials to talk BIG. Amy has previously worked for Google, Pivotal Labs, and several Bay Area startups, as well as Nortel and the National Research Council of Canada. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from McMaster University, Canada

Seems to be a lot of drift from BFL / Avalon disappointment to threads like these. Need to give the companies enough slack to hang themselves I thought? Willing to give this company a chance as well as others. Let there be chips.

I am sure Amy is overqualified to do the job!

I agree I was a bit harsh. Sorry about that! I just got all up in arms when there was a comparison done to chips that both don't exist. Sorry again!

Can we get some updates? I don't want another domino effect like BFL. I'm still waiting on 2 Single pre-orders form them (July 15 2012)..

Nice idea. It's way more than nice. And it happens to be unbeatable.

Except you have to flop out even more money for boards/shipping/assembly/labor and what not to mount these chips onto.
And the downside is that if you're losing money, now you'll have to flop out even more money to potentially earn back what you lost.

Also, all this "Miner Protection Program" is useless since the terms state it is non-binding and we as the buyer have no recourse to any consumer protection since they only take BTC.

So let me get this straight. If I buy 2 BJ machines for 11k And it starts mining but I only earn back about 10k worth of BTC by the timeframe. Then hashfast will send me chips to enable me to get ROI. Well not exactly "ROI". Just break even only. So then I'll have to flop out a further 1-3k for boards/shipping/assembly to potential earn back the missing [11k-10k] 1k worth of BTC? So overall I would still be at loss given that scenario. Oh does it take into account shipping costs as well? Because that's like 700usd or something?

And as well as electricity costs/running costs?
You know a better thing to do would be to offer refunds at anytime prior to delivery.

Oh does it take into account shipping costs as well? Because that's like 700usd or something? We are trying to leverage our superior silicon design to benefit our customers, as much as possible. In your example, we would give you enough ASICs to double the amount of additional hashing capacity that you would have needed - not just enough to break even.

Yes how did the mock tape out go? You said few days ago you would give us an update within minutes. I'm guessing the mock tape out did not go very well?
