Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin

With all these other platforms for Smart Contracts and ICOs coming do you really think Ethereum will keep growing so fast? I don't.

I think, ethereum will not be able to take over bitcoin because bitcoin will still be the king of all crypto currencies and will still be the most favorite and expensive coin, ethereum will not be able to have prices that exceed the bitcoin

In this fast world you cant know this for sure.
Bitcoin is really the king now, but it can look totally different in 1 year.
Nothing is changing faster than the technology branch and crypto is still a baby.
Such a change can happen in just half of a year.

Ethereum had already beaten Bitcoin's blockchain features like scalability, transaction speed and flexibility except for the market capitalization.
In the near future, Ethereum will soon surpass Bitcoin's market cap and Bitcoin will be on the second.
I do believe it will happen soon enough.

I just assume Ethereum as altcoin very successful among other altcoin. Until now I have not seen any other altcoin that can beat Ethereum. And I think to overtake the bitcoin it is very unlikely to happen. Bitcoin is the first very popular cryptocurrency and has a high value. If Ethereum wants to overtake bitcoin at least be able to beat the value and popularity first.

I have been hearing this statement everyday not only in the forum but also in real life with my friend so its like top hot news right now but for me etherium does not have enough power to overtake bitcoin from the fist place.
I prefer altcoin which has low supply will overtake bitcoin in the future.

I don't think Eth will overtake Bitcoin. they have different functions and tbh btc is here to stay. The market moves around btc...trading pairs would have to adopt a new currency coin to kill btc. Eth's challenge is any regulation to the ico industry. Eth's inherent value is the sheer number of ico tokens being released on the network. If ico's become regulated then eth will suffer in the short term. I cant see the major coins getting massive gains and have invested in good product alt coins.

Bitcoin is a special coin. I think to take over Bitcoin is very difficult, Ethereum is also good but lost competitiveness with Bitcoin so I think it is impossible to take over Bitcoin.

Yes. eth might become the no. 1 crypto currency because the way btc is behaving now it makes people to switch from btc to other currency. As every bad news is affecting the Bitcoin price. Where as on the other side ETH is making makret by providing the best stability and the ICO's.

I somehow believe that this wont happen Bitcoin is too powerfull as a coin espesially now when fees are practicly zero and the speed is like the rest of the coins

It will but not anytime soon. Bitcoin is here for the last 10 years and most people on this forum including me heard about crypto currency because of bitcoins. Ethereum is a good altcoin but bitcoin can't be replaced.
