PhoenixMiner 5.6c is officially released. You can find the download link and the checksums in the first post of this thread.

It is the same release as the one that was posted yesterday as release candidate, so if you are already running it, there is no need to upgrade.

5.6c works fine so far on Windows 10 (18 hours and counting) on GTX 1070. The only issue I have is the temperature is not shown.

Hello,

I have AMD RX580 8 GB with the driver 21.4.1 also phoenixminer 5.6b which would be perfect for this driver BUT there is one problem when I Tune my GPU and turn of FANS on 50% every time it crush in like 10 or 15 minutes later I don't know what's going on also this problem was early drivers and the AMD error Say "We detected a driver timeout has occurred on your system. A bug report has been generated. This report could help AMD find a solution... " Compute mode is turned ON... The miner working on Windows 10...

any ideas? please help me <3
Never forget this: In mining not always latest drivers means best. There must be time devs can upgrade miners after that you can use.
For example myself using 5.4c with driver 20.11.1 i will not change until long period,
Download 20.11.1 driver and try again. and also if you share bat file you will get more help.

I tried it and there is a bug report again I am sharing bat file
-amd -gt 63   -daglim 3950 -mt 2 -rxboost 20 -cclock 1175 -cvddc 850

I want to max my hashrate because i have 28.5 and 100W i know that it is not good Can anyone help me you can add me on facebook or somewhere else where you can chat me to configure this problem please ^_^ i can't mine it :/

Did you installed right driver? What card is it? 470 480 570 580 what card? Windows?
Delete your command and start with this : -cclock 1150 -cvddc 920 -mclock 2050 -mvddc 920 -rxboost 1 -mt 1
if it is stable you can increase mclock then decrease voltage until it crashes.

It is the same release as the one that was posted yesterday as release candidate, so if you are already running it, there is no need to upgrade.

Now it doesn't show gpu temps for Nvidia cards lol, previously AMD cards were not showing but they're showing fine, Nvidia cards have the same issue now. Please address, thanks!

30-31mh/s even 32 are for RX580 with custom bios.
rxboost increases power consumption.
If you're using the GPU to output video to a monitor you can get lower rashrate.
Se if the memory clock has a lower state than 2000MHz on the radeon settings, if it does, set the 2000MHz as the lowest state and try generating the DAG again. Sometimes generating dag at a lower clock gets you a lower hashrate.
remove the -gt value, and the -rxboost value, try those commands without a value and see at which value they settle.

Does anyone run this on linux with newer kernel than 5.10?

It works perfectly fine on 5.10 but as soon as I try booting with 5.11, it starts working just fine but then in about few minutes it starts slowing down the whole OS to basically 0.5 FPS until I kill the process.

I tried running it with minimum additional parameters and it's still the same.

No problems running 5.6c with Polaris RX580's in Linux 5.12 and AMD 21.10 drivers. It runs flawless and I also have full overclocking and power settings through the miner config or terminal with rocM. However with a Nvidia Pascal rig it doesn't show the temperature with Phoenix 5.6 and it has some issues with slowing down the primary GPU when mining and using the system. The problem is Nvidia Linux drivers are garbage.

Hello. I have two rigs with windows 10. Every week or two I have issues with the miners. Today one of the miners stopped working,
the error in phoenixminer is "Unable to establish secure connection to ssl://***.ethermine.org:5555: certificate verify failed."
3 or 4 hours later the same thing happened with the second miner... If I remove the "ssl://" from the config file, the miner works but it not show up in the ethermine website. Usually after 3-5 days the problem dissapears...  What can be the problem? I am using wi-fi dongles if that matters

Make sure your timezone, date and time are correct in Windows.

Certificate issues can be caused by incorrect dates / times on the local machines.

The thing is that when I use my main internet connection there is ssl error but when I connect to my 4G internet from my phone there is no ssl error... When I delete the "ssl://" and use eu1.ethermine.org:4444, the miner works but with few valid shares... my gtx 1070 only show 8-12 valid shares

The problem with the missing GPU temperatures on Nvidia GPUs is fixed and we released new version with the fix: PhoenixMiner 5.6d. You can find the download links and checksums in the first post of this thread.

If you are already running 5.6c and your rigs are not showing GPU temperatures, the easiest fix is to add the command-line option -hstats 2

Of course, you can also upgrade to PhoenixMiner 5.6d but the only difference between 5.6c and 5.6d is the fixed problem with GPU temperatures not shown with some Nvidia cards.

Sorry about this regression, we happen to run all of our test rigs with -hstats 2 and that's why we didn't detect the problem sooner.

Is there any way to get the AMD 6XXX (e.g. 6900) to switch to Manual tuning if it's not already without using Adrenaline UI?

If I have to force reboot (or crash) Adrenaline resets to the default automatic mode. In this mode I can't set clocks/voltages (neither with PM nor OverdriveNTool).

Is there a command line tool to switch to a manual preset somehow?

The new features in this release (since 5.6b) are:

  • Lower percent of rejected/stale shares when mining on Nicehash

I didn't noticed any reduction of rejected shares on nicehash. Still about 1,2-1,5%.

And another one: I noticed that TR miner uses about 1-2W of power less than PM on Polarises 8Gb cards. And it's only reported by sensors.

Hello everyone,

Wondering if I can get any assistance with this

I've got an MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR MK2 8gb (Hynix memory) (500w PSU)

Yes it is in Compute mode (not graphics). I have a different RX580 that works fine with ethash (on a 450w psu)

Running with latest drivers OR older drivers, doesn't make a difference.

Symptom: Either repeatedly showing 0mhs or if I enable -clKernel 0, I get maybe 8 to 10mhs.
Overclocking vram or default, doesn't make too much of a difference (maybe like 1 or 2mhs)

Are there specific BIOS settings I should be looking at?

check the sums of the exe, dll, EIO and IOMap64 files, they must match these.

you can verify Checksums here: md5file.com/calculator. Just upload there there one by one PhoenixMiner.exe, EIO.dll, EIO.exe: and IOMap64.sys.
