I heard the news that ETH is going to be hardfork on January 20th. I can not give you a link about this news.
but this is a sign that eth will rise, hopefully the price is 0.1 BTC.

recently ripple reached 1 usd and is predicted to go upto 5 usd by the end of next month.
while eth has rose 100usd in the past week and is being quite stable.
ethereum though not as accepted as bitcoin but still can be used unlike ripple.
so my question is whether i should invest in eth or ripple given i may need to take out my money back any time.

I think investing or trading etherium is very good than xriple. Karen eth coins are popular and I think the price will keep going up.

Most of the speculators has made a prediction that ripple is an banksters manipulation and the same will not sustain long. It's a temporary price bump, but not sure of the reality behind the ongoing price increase and decrease. Ethereum has gained good market and the large number of projects getting developed on ethereum smart contract platform makes it more stronger and provides a stable growth.

I prefer investing in cheap coin prices but with a very good developer team and excellent project travel and I choose to invest in ripple for the long term.

As you said there are many projects ongoing based on ethereum so in future there is good chance of ethereum price bumping whereas the ripple is considered as centralized coin by bank so it ia not good to invest on those coins because someone have the control over our investment and it oppsing the basic rule cryotocurrency.So i always go with ethereum investment and I still considering ethereum is the best cryotocurrency even the coinmarket cap value overtaken by ripple.

Many people still confuse wheater they want to invest in etherium or ripple including myself. Why confuse? Because they are both likely will go up. But now i decide to invest in both so i dont confuse anymore.

Well considering how cheap ripple is it would be best to invest in both of them, ripple is predicted that it wlll rise quickly since many people have high hopes for it, so it would be very wise to invesy in it, ethereum on the other hand may not have a crazy of a growth as some people think or hope, the price is high and the market cap for it is very high , so it shows that it is persestant and stable, so it might take a while before you will be able to get some really good profit from it.
