This must be posted in the Altcoin discussion. Anyway, to answer your question, I think it is better to invest in Ethereum. It is the best altcoin for me. Ripple is good for short term investments only. If you want to play safe for your investment, choose a coin that is trusted and promising.

For me if you have a lot of money you should invest with this both great altcoin, and i think both of this altcoin can help you to have a better future and totally ethereum can help you and help us to be rich in the future maybe 2years is enough so many people will became rich by trusting and investing on ethereum.

I think that the price of Ripple has grown so disproportionate these days, that it is extremely risky to buy at these levels. Bitcoin cash is altcoin and its value is way higher compare to eth. I am not against this two great coins because I believe that diversification should be the style of your portfolio. Do invest both on ETH and XRP because this two giant coins can makes good money for you in the future.

Agree on this. I still support ethereum over ripple, ripple has large total supply. ETH is very useful, like on different ICO today, they are using Smart Contracts, which smart contracts are based on ethereum. That is really great.

Ripple market cap has reached almost 120B which is almost half of the current bitcoin market cap. It is centralized currency and the current price is pumped up a lot already. So if you already purchased some coins then it is the right time to book some profits. The current run-up is bit crazy and don't see any real usage of ripple coins yet but market cap already reached to so high. I will avoid this coin to enter at this price level instead buy either Eth or any other altcoins.

I think it's still better to invest in ethereum, because it's just as effective as the ethereum than the ripple and just before trading sites are popular with ethereum so I prefer it, but it's time to drop the price of ethereum and it's ripple to move me to the ripple because for sure here I will also see somehow.

yea i agree with the mate idea that ethereum is more better then ripple. Ethereum is the second high price coin in crypto and the users of ethereum is also more then ripple while also working with ethereum is more likely as compare to ripple. Ripple will take a time to reach to level of ethereum while ethereum have got trust and interest of more people.

I rather to invest both just invest half of your money to eth and half for ripple, these 2 are good to invest I'm sure it will go up the price, every popular coin increases monthly.

while eth has rose 100usd in the past week and is being quite stable.

so my question is whether i should invest in eth or ripple given i may need to take out my money back any time.

Based on recent market growth and performance the fortune favors Ripple. Ripple is the next big thing in the cryptocurrencies market for now. Therefore, invest your money into Ripple don't waste your time on ethereum unless if you are planning to invest on both since ethereum price is also growing too.

ethereum is a real decentralized cryptocurrency without any full control of founders . also it is limited supply and in circulation ..

while ripple is centralized , controllable , and only 1/3 rd supply in market , it is giving profit that is good part , so take profit as long as it gives , after reaching to 10$ exit from ripple .

Probably both are not good choice for me as their prices are getting high but if you really want to seriously invest with this coins my vote will go to ripple as its price and potential is greater than ETH and knowing eth is known for its price increase rate is quite low.

I'm gonna say ethereum forever against ripple. Don't get caught by the magic of ripple price pump. It won't last forever. It will decline hardly once the whales decided to get in ethereum.

I personally think that Ethereum and Ripple have good potential. These can give good return in coming years.
