The first bonus is out - second bonus is in! Get it while it's hot! Buy here >> https://t.co/b4YN1dfUZd #ICO #bonus #tokensale https://t.co/eAP4eEcYPh

Guys make your purchase now while the offer last.

I would advice smart investors to take this opportunity to buy into the PolySwarm project very seriously its a revolution in the blockchain ecosystem, history is about to be made, more research into the project reveals a lot of benefits of joining now

Smart investors might have already taken their position by now. Nevertheless its not too late now as the bonus has just got reduced to 15%. Polyswarm will be the future in threat detection. No doubt about it. Are we going to hear any project development progress from the team?

I am interested to know how this tiered bonus works in terms of return; I mean the idea is solid and tiered investing approach can be appealing to some but does it really yield greater results? just curious

What do you mean in terms of return, its a standard ICO tiered bonus, basically the earlier you get into the ICO the more coins you recieve for your bonus, so if you invest during the 15% section for 100 coins you get 115 coins, if you invest during the 5% bonus your 100 coin purchase would only net 105, so technically its bonus coins, but another way to get it is you got 105/115 coins for a lower per coin price.

My only CONCERN:
I heard an interview with CEO of polyswarm, he was asked why NTC token instead of ETH? He responded, that NCT will provide more stable price. Does this mean the NTC price will be pegged? That would pretty much decrease overall ROI. Any thought on this ?

There is not a single word in the white paper about NCT being pegged to anything. I don't know the interview and the respective context, but I don't think he was referring to a price peg.

Hey guys just saw on Polyswarm twitter page they are currently in need of Writers to help grow their Medium community - if interested, fill out this form   https://polyswarm.typeform.com/to/EPktq1

Nice idea to advertise more, but what will be the rewards ? I hope you get paid by NCT tokens, because it will fill your pocket in the future. Smiley

Well, payment of NCT tokens as a reward is a sure way to increase the value of the tokens to a very significant rate, polyswarm will also provide for programmers/developers the platform they need to develop their skills and be known, who knows, possibly get very successful deals

Developers earning NCT tokens will enable them to convert it to fiat currency if they wish. This induces a constant sell pressure, what would be the counter effect for this to obtain a balance?

Trying to figure out the max NCT tokens that will be produced (as I could not find this specifically called out).

My guess is it will be somewhere between 1.8 to 2 Billion NCT (assuming they hit their max funding level of $50M).

$50M USD is the crowdfunding max, and I believe it is also the initial marketcap?  Or was there a private round of funding (or a token reserve) that occurred earlier that I've missed counting?
Quick back of the envelope calculation (very rough numbers): $50M = roughly 53,995 ETH (@ $926 each as of Feb 20)
1 ETH = 31,337 NCT (but there are bonus tokens for early contributors)
If we disregard the bonus tokens, then there will be ~ $53,995 ETH x 31,337 = 1,692,062,634 NCT tokens
Even with the bonus applied for early contributors, the total # of NCT tokens probably won't exceed 2 Billion

Did I get this (close to) correct?

Here is another press release, this time about the partnership with Cybertriage, to connect first responders
https://polyswarm.io/press/2018/02/21/cyber-triage-partners-with-polyswarm/

I guess this is second partnership announced in last 10 days by Polyswarm. Its really good to see how fast Polyswarm is growing.

Not only that, but check this out here:

Swarm Syndicates – Joel Dietz Invests $500,000 in PolySwarm’s Token Sale Guest  March 2, 2018  Press Releases

SHARES 6
SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO — March 2, 2018 — Decentralized IT security marketplace PolySwarm (www.polyswarm.io) today announced a $500,000 investment from Swarm Syndicates, led by Joel Dietz. He personally invested in PolySwarm’s ongoing Nectar (NCT) token sale. PolySwarm has raised $22 million to date, with additional backers including Science Blockchain and BlockTower Capital.

https://themerkle.com/swarm-syndicates-joel-dietz-invests-500000-in-polyswarms-token-sale/

A Lot of this partnership is coming in for polyswarm due to its utility and the universality of the project, it would be a great news.

There is not a single word in the white paper about NCT being pegged to anything. I don't know the interview and the respective context, but I don't think he was referring to a price peg.

The whitepaper hints that speculation with NCT "economically disincentives speculation":
"As a utility token, PolySwarm economically disincentivizes Nectar
speculation by rewarding honest market participation through the
collection and distribution of Fees (details on page 6) to valueadding,
active participants."

I don't fully understand the mechanics, but feel I should before investing...

i have also not seen this interview anywhere. Do you have links to the video or article? I would like to see or read it to understand better. No CEOs will talk about the future token price as far as I have seen it. This is somewhat misunderstood I think.

A link will be nice as well. I highly doubt the CEO of Polyswarm intends to peg the price of NCT, i don't think anyone would wants to invest in a pegged token a steady and healthy token price growth is what suits everyone.

Yes. I am also looking for some links about this interview. Could not easily find it. Could you post it here? I would like to read it to understand his views better. I agree on the fact that NCT tokens cannot be compared to ETH in anyway as both are for different purposes.

it's also hard for me to understand, but I think that means tokenholder will be helped to earn the fees. So they want to prevent too much speculation with the tokens.
Or it's the other way around :-)

From my understanding I think they plan to reward on fees which maybe in eth and not In NCT token so that the value of NCT is not subjected to speculation.

Well, payment of NCT tokens as a reward is a sure way to increase the value of the tokens to a very significant rate, polyswarm will also provide for programmers/developers the platform they need to develop their skills and be known, who knows, possibly get very successful deals

Nice incentive for the developers, ensures they are getting paid for their hard work.

It creates a sell pressure but hopefully there will be more people looking to buy NCT's to pay for PolySwarm's anti-virus protection than there are developers earning tokens.

I hope this makes sense.

Yes, i think so there wouldn't be any reason to not releasing them. The trading must start, because the sale has ended. Otherwise it will be a problem for the coin makers.

I think is best you provide links to anything you hear/see, cryptocurrency is a very volatile thing and any negative or positive news will either lead to the fall or rise respectively of that project, hence the need for information to be authenticated , i will love to get the link on that because a lot need clarification on that

Exactly they will release once the ICO closes so that we can have liquidity on the xchanges, unless your asking some other question but that seems to be the answer. Seems to be  the case across all ICO's and i'd imagine theirs more detailed explanation when you check the whitepaper.

It's pretty common that all the tokens, both the bought ones and the ones from a bounty campaign, are released after the ICO or are at least frozen till the ICO is over. Otherwise, there is the chance that the tokens are cheaper on an exchange and then no one would buy at the ICO anymore.
