It's amazing to have that 103 btc. My question is,why it lost?
It is so bad for that person to lost a 103 btc. He is already a millionaire for that. I hope someone will help him to investigate that. We should be more careful in doing this thing.

If I was this guy who lost his dat file while the wallet has 103 BTC, I'd be gone crazy already. I never had that amount in my entire life and if ever I got such amount, I'd guard it 247 and backed it up for more than a hundred times. He probably didn't mind spending that BTC as the price during that time isn't this big but he must be cursing all the people around him this time.

This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

I think if I were him, I wouldn't stop trying until I was dead, because it would be too hurtful to lose that kind of money...

Everyone must be crazy if they lost such big amount. Even losing only 1btc could possibly make you crazy. It's hard to have atleast 1btc, how much more 103 btc. This serves as a lesson to everyone who were holding big amount of btc to back up their files. Or else, say goodbye to your bitcoin.

If they say it's gone, it's not entirely accurate, because they do not disappear and stay there, on a blockchain basis. Only the wallets that store them have lost information and can not be retrieved forever. In other words, a quarter of the crypto around the world is stuck somewhere in the blockchain and nobody knows where that is.

James Howells has become the talk of the world when he accidentally throws a hard drive containing more than 7,500 bits of Bitcoin. He then had to seek permission from the city government to get his hard drive back in a waste disposal site in Newport, Wales.

With blockchain, you can not call a customer support phone number to request a password in the same way as a bank. Just a little mistake like losing your wallet address, filling in the wrong address information with a letter, all can pay the price of your entire property.

It's no surprise that the Winklevoss twins have to print the Bitcoin store address and key, then cut it into sections and store the different parts at the safest banks in the United States.

Of course, if a good day, those who lost information on the find, their Bitcoin or crypto coin will still be there. They still exist, the only thing that nobody can get without the divine code.

Really unfortunate for him to lose such huge amount of bitcoin. Maybe it is not that big amount of money back then, but now? Sad Hopefully he already moved on from this (we may considered) as tragedy.

Do not know this is the correct information? If it's true then he's so bad. The current price for a bitcoin is $ 7,000, $ 103BTC = $ 721000. He's using my wallet to avoid it; D. If not, he's definitely enjoying it. dulbai then.

It is very silly to lose bitcoin on such a self-incautiousness as losing keys, so I always keep them in several places and write on plain paper.

there are a lot of ways to secure your passwords yet you can also ensure that you will be able to access it. It defeats the purpose of securing your coins when you secure it from everyone including yourself. That's just sad, words are not enough to describe it.

There is much you can do to store or make a key to what you have because that is a very valuable thing for you.

Yeah, I don't envy that guy) the main thing is not to worry and not to tell his wife about the situation. Then it will be easier to move. And, of course, to draw conclusions for the future.

lossing bitcoin is painful because of your hard work on raising your profit for your savings for good. But now cryptocurrency are more secured and well develop to protect your secrecy of your account but it depends on what application of wallet you wanted to save your bitcoin.

For those who keep offline wallet then without ever backup private key then when the computer is damaged then it will make them cry, anyone can experience this so we have to divide bitcoin into various wallet types.

That would be very disappointing and frustrating. But still, I think that person is still moving forward and starting a brand new bitcoin life. This incident will surely make hime a wiser man than before.
