This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

I restore in some way lost the key file? It would be necessary to search for a network that people write on this issue.
In addition to this guy, I met a lot of people who lost for some reason a wallet or password.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

the number of lost bitcoins is growing every year, this is another component of the growth of bitcoins. when 10 million bitcoins are lost, it will be a thousand times more expensive.

we have heard some people lose large amounts of bitcoin in the early years of bitcoin. in 2011 the value is still small but it's a large amount and the value is huge for now. they tried to restore the lost bitcoin and many of them gave up. so you should back up your dat wallet and store it in a safe place

OMG, 103 bitcoins? Just reading it makes me dizzy.  I doubt I would be able to recover from that kind of loss.  103 bitcoins would give an average guy financial freedom.   This is very very sad.

If the wallet private key and stored files are lost, you can't find it anymore, but if you can find the recorded computer, ask some hackers to help! I don't know if this is ok? I have not tried it, but I think you can try it!

I'm sorry for this guy, but who is to blame for his problem other than himself? You need to make backup files, hide them securely, because it's not about 1 BTC and 103 BTC.

Wow, with the value that Bitcoin has now in the market, it is so very upsetting and frustrating to lose such big amount of Bitcoin that make you very rich now. I hope the guy moved on and gain more Bitcoins.

yes how else, just think of it as a disaster that befell your friend.
I hope your friend doesn't commit suicide because of this kind of thing. Money is not everything.

it doesn't sound good and it's very bad whether there is a hacher issue that is not known for a lot of BTC loss but never give up on investing in bitcoin and it must be serious to understand it first.

Well, when he lost all these bitcoins they probably were pretty cheap being able to buy them, but what you said is true, seeing that huge amount of money on limbo and think that BTC were mine is just sad. I hope that guy mined more BTC or bought some when price was ridiculous cheap. And like he, there are many people in the same situación and some with quantities above thousands of BTC.

103 Bitcoin Lost This is a tragic event, Bitcoin wallet is lost and will never find it again. If your dat file and private key are lost, it is not possible to bring it back anyway. So, of course, you should collect all the information about Bitcoin Wallet.

information about the wallet can be very useful for another fork of bitcoin. many lost wallets increase the value of the remaining bitcoins in the game.

Wow, what a hard lesson to learn. At that time, bitcoins were not worth so many people who were careless with their wallets. I heard that some hard drives were accidentally thrown away or wiped cleaned with their coins.
