This is the first step that made bitcoin in a social environment! Of course, it's not very convenient for ordinary people. But for the rich, why not? Having a large number of bitcoins, you can afford to buy a chicken for the cryptocurrency!

This is the expected one for me.This is second corporate accept of bitcoin as a payment. Many website are start to accept the bitcoin, but they are not known by all the people.Since it's Multi National Corporation,it's acceptance was known by all. It's just a beginning of acceptance.

Check out my YouTube video where I dive more in depth : BREAKING NEWS KFC is now accepting Bitcoin, and Smart contracts might be legally binding!

Is this just a bucket of chicken, or a bucket of publicity stunts?

You will be able to buy a bucket of chicken in Select Canada KFC's. However you will have to order it online using Bitpay, and have it shipped to you.

Cost : Around $20 + $5 shipping + Taxes + Any other blockchain fees

What do you guys think about it?

What I can say is that it's great way for business owner to buy/collect bitcoins without paying any fees. It don't worths to buy with bitcoin but some enthusiastic people will be happy if they with bitcoin and additional fee. So they can collect bitcoins with the help of some percent of customers and who knows, their 5$ burger or anything can become 50$ one day, that's great step for them, not for us.

Fried chicken chain KFC Canada is accepting bitcoin – for a limited time and for a cryptocurrency-themed bucket of chicken, that is. At the time it is now known that bitcoin is a crypto currency in a country so it has been received as a payment for anything you buy or restaurant you eat.

Well, I think that for KFC this is most likely a marketing move
Since bitcoin is very popular now, I do not think that a lot of people will benefit from this function
Well I didn't get this news anywhere but if it is right then its a great step towards bitcoin nourishment and it this method of payment goes well then one by one different companies will start accepting bitcoin as payment method but in case of kfc I think you hunger will vanish when the order arrives due t large wait.

What the point to accept bitcoin in businesses? There's so long transactions and high fees.. For me bitcoin is just as a digital gold. To pay for different stuff it is cheaper, faster and better to use some other coins like litecoin.

It was a very great idea for kfc to create a transactions like cryptocurrency as a payment method in their fast food restaurant because in this way, fees on buying food will be much cheaper than usual and we can use bitcoins to purchase online and deliver it to our house with a lower cost.

The fees are paid by the buyer, so if the business holds the coins it could be profitable. I do agree though, if the company is selling for fiat 1:1 then there isnt a big need for it.

This will be a big advantage for the bitcoin users in Canada, I just don't know exactly if all KFC outlet in the entire world would accept bitcoin as payment. This is something really expecting where in the near future all fast food in the world will be bitcoin accepted.

KFC has a good marketing strategy: it allows them to reach another market.

Its a good beginning and I’m hoping it will be in my place too. If it happens to other establishments too, would be easy to purchase online and pay in crypto since i think i have more of these than physical money  Cheesy. And will hassle free, you just have to wait for the delivery at home. No more falling in line and no more travelling plus traffics.

The value of bitcoin fluctuates according to the evolution of the entire cryptocurrency market. KFC's acceptance of bitcoin payments shows that large corporations around the world are seeing the crypto trend as the world's payment trend and they do not want to be out of the game. Bitcoin has confirmed the use of payment is extremely good and fast, currently I know there are many services around the world accept payment by bitcoin and that is a great thing for for bitcoin holders.

Thisi is cool but for now in my country i dont think this one will happen yet. Not everyone here doing bitcoin and there is no retail store accept bitcoin yet. So i guess this will not be happening here in my country yet. But this is nice, we can have options in how to pay the food we want to order. Good for canadian people then 😊

This is a good marketing strategy of KFC Canada. They called it Bitcoin Bucket and if it succeeds, maybe they can use it in all KFC products in Canada. They are trying to test the waters of Cryptocurrency market to verify how many users of Bitcoin will take orders using Bitpay and as per CNBC the first wave of orders becomes sold out right away.

I won't agree to that since the bitcoin fees are high. Buying a chicken meal and the payment is in bitcoin could cost you more than the food you buy. I know the payment can be optional but it is not a good thing for the customer.

If this is indeed true then I would be the happiest! I love KFC's Hotshots, fries and Zinger sandwich! I hope every restaurant or fast food chains will incorporate blockchain in their system. I am super excited about this news and hopefully it will be implemented here as well in my country which is the Philippines. I just hope this acquiring of fintech for KFC would do them great as they deserve to be successful for adopting Bitcoin! Long live KFC!

I'd like to know where Kentucky is. Hahaha, the KFC in our country does not support bitcoin at present. This is a very good phenomenon. If it can be paid in KFC or other stores around the world. This will be the first step in the daily life of bitcoin. With people gradually recognizing bitcoin. So the price of bitcoin will rise. Although it is down now. But I believe that bitcoin will rise again.
