Check out my YouTube video where I dive more in depth : BREAKING NEWS KFC is now accepting Bitcoin, and Smart contracts might be legally binding!

Is this just a bucket of chicken, or a bucket of publicity stunts?

You will be able to buy a bucket of chicken in Select Canada KFC's. However you will have to order it online using Bitpay, and have it shipped to you.

Cost : Around $20 + $5 shipping + Taxes + Any other blockchain fees

What do you guys think about it?

KFC accepts BTC is a good news. It means that bitcoin already get more attention by more companies in the world. It will increase the demand too. So many people will get the advantages from this. We hope that it will be use for KFC in all over the world because some countries still do not accept BTC as a payment.

I find it funny that any one would pay KFC with chicken. I made that mistake way in the past when I paid back a buddy for a movie ticket back in 2013. I think I paid him  .1 bitcoin. I only overpaid him by $990 dollars when I look at it now

It is very convenient for everyone who is using bitcoin but for me, i still prefer to use my country's currency. But this is a big help for the grow of bitcoin and whole crypto currency. I wish someday we can also use bitcoin as payment for online shopping here in my country.

Such a great news for cryptocurrency at all.
The main thing is that they shouldn't make a fix price in BTC for their chicken. There will be great if KFC will track a bitcoin price, and price for chicken will depend on price of bitcoin. And, ofc it can lead to emergence of KFCoin  Smiley

Precisely this is good news for all of us, that fast-food people have received bitcoin payouts, although it's still very small that the restaurant receives bitcoin, but this can be a good thing for the future ...

Just a KFC marketing strategy to make their company's name more beautiful specially too crypto peoples like us. But this is a good step for making more advertisement about crypto currencies and more people will be curious of what crypto currencies are. Smiley

Correct they are using crypto currency to market their fast food chain, and what you just have said that they might create their own crypto currency for their business is really possible and they don't want to be left out in terms of technology. But I don't think that anyone will pay bitcoin just to buy that "Bitcoin Bucket" because of the high fees that they would pay to transact their payments to KFC. Grin

Wow! Nice news, this is good to Bitcoin but it is much better to make payments in local currency, blockchain fees are too high. Bitcoin have a bright future.

it is good to test use on big food companies, this would increase adoption.
I think these are still a few nations that acknowledge the installment in light of the fact that there are as yet numerous nations who don't care for the presence of BTC in their nation with this news I truly am exceptionally content with the KFC eatery get installment by utilizing BTC as installment however in each nation have a law laws that must be obeyed all together not to kill the nation's cash.

Nice! First time to hear a big food company to accept bitcoin Smiley Chicken from your bitcoin sounds good. Hoping that the extra transaction fees won't be that so high to let others experience using BTC on KFC and others will follow also.

This is a very nice news, i really expect that the food they are going to sell will be a lot cheaper since the growth of bitcoins today is very fast. I was happy that everyone in the community is now using bitcoins, it only means that cryptocurrency is slowly being accepted to different countries.
