Only one person knows how Bitcoin works!  That is, until customers get this book "in two weeks" (actually, on Jan. 28, 2014).  Preorder now!

(I am not affiliated with the merchant, the publisher or the author.  Just found it while looking for parties that might sell Walmart GC for BTC).

Butterfly Labs has a different interpretation of the FTC Mail Order Rule.  You do not have a refund option with the BFL Monarch no matter how late they ship.

No chips but nice prototypes   Grin

I see these pics and all I can be reminded of is when the 65nm pictures were shown in 2012.  Two Weeks!, whoops just two more months!, whoops again...

They will probably mine with the first batch and/or slip many out the back door for the extra cash that NDA signing people like what GigaVPS paid, protect the network as long as they can for themselves and their few felatio giving customers, make excuses to further tweak and add stupid shit like xlink to protect the network further, then finally ship when the diff is 3-4 billion.

But hey, that 0.5 btc you made might be worth 5k in 5 years.

Stop buying hardware.  Especially from these jerks.

Great photo, let's hope it's not true. If BFL don't suffer the same delays Cointerra and Hashfast have recently and actually start delivering late Nov early Dec

You're an idiot for even thinking that's possible. Even BFL's overly optimistic estimate (that'll be missed like every other estimate they've ever made) is "hope to have our first units shipped out the door by the end of December."

this big buy is absurd in itself, worse even with BFL. Someone has a lot to learn from chinese inversors.

The nice thing about BFL is they keep people from mining while you go elsewhere.  That alone is $1m we don't have to worry about being added to the network for a while.

A new generation of newbs are about to get slaughtered.

He means that the Canadians were stupid to purchase from BFL (usa) and should have bought from some Chinese ASIC
As a Canadian, I'm really pissed off that it's supposedly a $1m down payment on a $20m order for BFL hardware, They are the Worst, Absolute Worst people to trust

It depends on who is "them".  You don't know where the $20mil came from.  Line of credit at a bank.  Some sort of stock offering.  Clueless regular investors.  Bitcoin isn't immune to reality and reality of modern finance is those that control usually make out like bandits at the expense of "owners".

However, this is our second generation, so we have much greater clarity on the process and we feel our timeline to begin shipments towards the end of the year is solid.
