cross post from PP refund thread

Ok - here is the new twist...... it is entirely possible that PayPal has run out of BFL funds to chargeback as they answered my request by saying I should call my credit card company.....

I attempted to do this two - three weeks ago and was denied a chargeback from Amex as the period was past their 90 day cut off...... One last hail mary was in order and - Holy. Fucking. Shit. they disputed the charges and have suspended 12 singles worth of March orders back to my account pending a fraud investigation.

Also, I confirmed explicitly with Amex that if BFL sent product as a response to the charge back that I would refuse the shipment and Amex agreed that in such a situation the chargeback would proceed - we are talking just shy of $17,000 spread over 4 orders

Thank you AMEX - I love you. Really, I do.

And thank you PayPal for telling me to call my credit card company again.

Onward and upward....

And, yes Josh. This monkey is dancing.

Did you use the back door guy at Paypal who is familiar with the situation and were told that?

I followed the steps that were provided by lajz99 and the result was that PayPal stated: "Please contact your credit card company directly regarding additional details and/or concerns, as chargebacks are initiated through them." Per my post I had gone down that road before and was not optimistic that I would be successful by trying again. I tried and it worked. This may solely be a function of Amex but I have heard of others being successful with long term chargebacks with CC companies like Visa. It may also be that BFL is flagged somehow. Whatever the case - I'm a happy monkey!

at the moment pay options on BFL website are only BTC direct transfer and wire transfer. i guess it will come to an end in the near future (2014?).

They're complaining because you're late and others are early (relative to you).  There's nothing more or less to it than that.

Someone hasn't been reading the forums!

without to get too personal I suggest go back to work and do your job. I have a order in your system which I can charge off. this is the situation we have right now. I will never ever do any business with you again, for shure.

One would hope that many people read this and take this information at face value. DO NOT BUY FROM BFL.

I don't think they outsourced anything at all. It's just a misdirection. They'll try to shirk direct responsibility and deflect blame to the imaginary contractor.

right, they won't make it...

Abbey told me yesterday regarding my (1) Jalapeno order from 2013/04/21 paydate:

Otherwise, it is our goal to ship our backlog by the end of September, I would guess your order will be shipped sometime in October.

Its a April 21, 2013 pay date not June. It should be shipping in October 2013 if they pickup the pace like singles. Nonetheless your $300+ Jalapeno (Miner + Shipping) Will have a very long ROI if at all if shipped in October. Good Luck with that.

No problem but the problem is a 5gh miner was not conceived with 150+ million difficulty rates in mind and every 10 day 30-40 % difficulty increases really kills the deal at that post April 2013 $ increase. Worse if you added $100 for 2gh upgrade  Tongue

Aside that - I don't think they are out funds but rather trying to pin off other companies to rally the entire credit/banking system against the company to offset the full force of the load themselves on BFL's single account, I handled some of my refunds through my debit agency, for the direct draft my bank said I had to get with paypal as it was beyond their policy coverage, paypal appears to have awarded me in the claim though I am still waiting for the ACH funds reversal.

BFL won't go bust (unfortunately, they deserve to) - they can always mine themselves out of a hole.
