Just wanted to clarify the difference between the Netflix Model and the CRYPTOFLIX Model.

Netflix is mainly comparable to a Pay TV channel, except they do not have a fixed schedule. They pay license fees for the period where the content is on their platform up front and users can watch the movies as many times as they want, when they want.

In the film industry windows, Netflix is among the last stops in the income waterfall before free TV, but after VOD and DVD/BluRay. So Netflix will not have brand new movies, other than their own, because the content owners want income from the other windows first.

Also Netflix are producing their own content, which I believe they have re-allocated as many funds to as for licensing in 2018 so likely expect more of their own content going forward and less third party content.

The CRYPTOFLIX Model is more comparable to that of iTunes, which is a revenue sharing model where the content owners put their content on the platform against a share of the revenue and at no cost other than storage and administration to the platform.

CRYPTOFLIX will be different than the existing platforms in that it will be possible to use the platform without an Apple device and without a credit card (by using FLIX Tokens) and we will have more flexibility for the content owners in that the minimum quality requirements for entry onto the platform will be lower than the minimum standards for iTunes etc. and also our pricing structure will be more flexible. Also we can use smart contracts to share the revenue instantly with the content owners - in the current platforms this can take months or even years.

Thanks for clarifying about the two platform.  Why not cryptoflix own blockchain instead of token in ethereum?

If they choose to offer pirate materials (which is highly unlikely), there will be virtually no limits. Otherwise, there surely be some limits at least in terms of movies currently in cinemas. And they definitely are not going to offer porn, at least on their main page))

It looks a little bad when competing, but as we all know that Netflix name has become familiar to many people, so the flix word probably will be helpful to make this familiar to people too.

branding is important and this is made to be easily recognizable by the general public. you have to have something that resonates with people and they're able to associate it with movie streaming.

Thats because "flix" was a big release group for pirated movies. So you flix'd that new title in the cinemas. Netflix grabbed that and put it into their name - today it is kind of a slang for movies and series. And sounds waaaay better than "CryptoMov" (reminds me somehow of apples .mov quicktime files lol)

That is a good question. But I think some people would prefer not to be mentioned as investors in a particular film or else they will be tracked by IRS.

It depends on whether cryptoflix decides to release your details. Many people could have the same name, so having your first and last name isn’t that much information for the irs

I could imagine it to be pretty cool to watch a movie which is funded with the help of cryptocurrency investors.

It could bring a weird feeling for me when that time comes, remembering that we have witnessed to CRYPTOFLIX early development.

Well, it will also means that cryptoflix in a long term investment, at least if you want to make a good profit, by the end of 2019 at least, if no more, so when a couple of films are made with crypto investors, and the profits are made when said film or series are live, THEN this platform will truly moon, so q1 2020 will be the sweet time to sell all your holding form now, at least to the patient, this project can bring a lot of profits before, at the end of the year, but the money will be at 2020, so i recommend to consider this a long term investment.

Well I also think a 7 out of 10 is a bit low here, more like a 8.5 in my eyes. There are some weak points but this project looks really solid and they have a real vision at least.

That's something I wonder with lots of projects. They are all 100% dream scenarios wherein EVERYTHING goes right and there is no competition.
