It appears they even stole the confirmed exchanged balance from today, not yet paid out to the users. My confirmed exchange looks REALLY low, and could have sworn it was higher earlier. But since I was off HC since yesterday, I can't know for sure.
Can anyone confirm that?

I lost almost 0.2 BTC as well... =/. Just logged on to find it all wiped from the account. I really hope we get reimbursement for this...
I would not expect them to reimburse. If you are too lazy or stupid to pick your own coins to mine, well, you know what they say about a fool and his money.

Its certainly the perfect time to do it, with the recent hash rate increase much more BTC was being held. Lost 0.07, my first theft!

that means you got lucky and they terminated the transfers before it got to you. looking at the transactions, this was running for almost 2hrs cashing people out systematically.

Feel bad for the people who lost coins. I've lost at least 20-30 LTC over the last year or so to pool compromises/hacks/mismanagement. Really this comes with the territory. If this is your first lose to this kinda thing welcome to the club (regretfully). Hopefully hashco.ws will be upfront about how the intrusion occurred and how they plan to keep it from happen in the future.

Just throwing this out there; HC has had a steady 2-3GH/s for the last little while; using an average of 2.5GH/s yield an average profitability of about 40,000$ USD per day for the pool (I'd say this is conservative).
2% of that + 0.4% (autotrading at Cryptsy is 0.1% so HC takes 0.4% on the autotrades) = 2.4% * 40,000 = $960 per day take home for the cows. There are other costs to run the servers sure, but because the profit estimate was conservative, I'd be willing to bet this is roughly the take-home pay for the cows.
Thus, the breach cost them roughly 26 days of profit, something they should absolutely refund.
To the cows: This refund is about a month of earnings to you... you have 2 options: 1) Refund the ~40BTC to your miners, solidify trust, and make the amount back within the next month, plus more (probably)! To the MOOOOn! 2) Lose your miners, and either operate a tiny pool or close it down altogether. You'll save the $25k but lose out on any future potential earnings. Remember, you are still in the growth phase, and your potential earnings are much higher than they are now. I wouldn't be surprised if by this time next year you're making $25k per day. 3) Other creative but immoral actions: eg: be scumbags and change your identities and open up another pool under a new name and start from scratch a completely new 'brand' if you will...
Just my $0.02.

I realize everyone here is upset/angry with us but I please ask you to be patient with us and give us some time to figure out what exactly happened and what the future course of action is.
Personally this has put a dampen on my Christmas, no one benefits from this.
