Regarding xbtec and the email via mailchimp to lots of blackarrow users. It seems mailchimp have closed xbtec's account.

"

Thanks for reaching back out.
When it comes to divulging information on this senders account, unfortunately due to our Privacy Policies (http://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/) and our commitments to keeping member data private, we would not be able release any of that information here. However, based on your complaint, we were able to disable the account and investigate list collection practices with the user. We appreciate the feedback provided on this account and if you have any additional questions definitely let us know.
Have a great weekend.

"

So xbtec/blackarrow.. do you have any comments on this?

I'm sick of it all just like the rest of you guys but a this point there's not much we an do but continue waiting. Unless you live in HK, very little will come from you guys complaints except for another gox situation that will take years to settle.

lol MoreBloodWine how do you know I got goxed too^^

Why BA's adress is not the same on their website and the invoice, which one to use plz?

Since mi november 2013 I have been reading posts here and at ecointalk, the 6 months delay slowly but surely went to my nerves and affected my moral,
I really need to be out.
"Next week" after "next week" come on, 6 months late now for an X-3.

I have 4 X-1s running and they are good quality products working fine and quiet little warming the room, silently.
The GUI dashboard, one page for all BA miners is great, easy and looking nice.

Which android miner are people using on their X1's? I just received mine today and wanted to test it. (I wasn't expecting my X1 to come with a screen and even more so a android installed on it.)
CGMINER already appears to be running.
To access it on the LCD itself, open Chrome and browse to http://127.0.0.1/lcd, log in with user/blackarrow
At this point you should also see what IP address it's allocated itself (otherwise click the settings icon at the bottom of the screen and look at either your wireless settings or your other -> Ethernet settings)
You can then web browse to it from a PC/laptop and add your mining pool details. No need to bugger around in Android trying to start CGMINER.

There are two websites built into it:-
https://ipaddress/ is the white-background one with the meters
http://ipaddress/lcd (or on the unit you can use http://127.0.0.1/lcd) is the colourful black-background one

Logging in on one machine logs out the other (and the Android browser seems to hate that) hence the recommendation above to use Chrome instead, which at least tells you the account is logged-in elsewhere instead of just hanging. I think it's worth setting up an extra user account on the web interface so the X1 screen can stay logged-in on one while you use the other.

This is my experience so far (X1 arrived yesterday afternoon). All in all it seems like a nice unit. Touch screen is a bit sluggish, but it's a miner not a smartphone. Runs nice and cool and the power supply (despite its incorrectly-spaced CE mark) appears to me fairly well built, with lots of input filtering/protection and insulating sheet between the transistors and case even though they're all insulated-tab devices. No sign of why some of the earlier ones went bang.

SHAME IT'S SEVEN MONTHS LATE!

Still, the sooner those Scrypt miners get taped out and built, the sooner we can get our compensation, eh BA?

They have a registered hk company (Company Registration. 1520309).
If you do a hk company search (it is free) you will find more info:

What is the path of least damage at this point?

A. Take the comp ASICs and sell them (where the hell would I sell them, who would buy them?)
B. Wait and pray for BA to do something like ship the X3 and give a good scrypt miner as comp (hoping they used the x-1 x-3 to learn to do this and now at least have some clue and won't be a year late on that)
C. Ask for a refund, never get miner, never get refund (I'm assuming this is what happens if you ask for one) Any case of anyone getting a refund? I have plenty of free hours with an attorney that I can use but I don't want to blow them if "them being in china" means I'll still never get my money back.

And to think, I can remember a time when I was worried about letting BA do the 5 day hosting because the extra shipping delay might cut into my ability for ROI.

I didn't need that $5k so much then, but with things that happened since, that profit (fuck,..breaking even) and having that money would be a life changer.

(sigh)

Hope you'll get atleast something this year..

I opted for option C, bought from MS. their product was/is delayed way to far past the original communicated shipment date minersource and blackarrow is obliged to send customers a refund. They even agreed to send me a refund months ago and I'm still waiting. How both companies still exist and no one is jailed is beyond me.  Huh

Minersource do the right thing and send those refunds ASAP! You can't just keep playing with peoples money and get away with it.

Same here, waiting on a cheque Dan Murtha promised to sent on 22th of July, asked for an update after 3 weeks (now 2 weeks ago), and they will not even respond anymore besides the automated "your request has been received". Disgusting, this minersource company. Guess there's nothing left but filing at the FTC an their local attorney's office.

If you really want to start ruffling Minersoures feathers, anyone with a legitimate complaint against them should start also talking to Mircocenter General Managers. If hey want to protect that deal then the less complaints against them the better, just explain how they're (Mirocenter) is in bed with a business that handles their customers poorly and explain your situation.

I just got an invoice from, "Bitmine Tech" but it was from Mike@bitmaintech.com.  All it says is "confirmation 18XX."  There was also an attachment that is a .jar file.  Is this possibly a virus because my email address was sold to someone?

Yes, don't open.

It is most likely a virus. Why did you get it? Well because people suck. If they didn't suck, if they had your email, they wouldn't try to send you a virus. But we do understand what you are getting at!

Black arrow sucks, everyone here knows that. It is so much effort to scam people, then you have people who literally want your blood out there. Just never seems worth it to me. Easier to make an honest living. Ya never know. So many people on the planet, how can you ever be so sure that one of the people you fucked doesn't know people who know people. That is why i believe in karma. If ya go looking for trouble, it ALWAYS finds you. Even if you aren't looking for trouble it has a good way of finding you. That is how i know that what i say is truth. Keep it up black arrow, you can't run from karma forever Smiley

We can't grow when we won't criticize ourselves!

Well, well, well. A big box from Miner Hosting LLC arrived at my doorstep today. I didn't know I was receiving a package.... To refuse delivery or just accept that I lost a bunch of money on this, that is the question.

And I paid Dec 25 2013 for those of you who are curious as to shipping order from Minersource. I should also mention I threw a big stink and bugged them about my refund status nearly every day for the last couple weeks.

My X1 arrived today (technically yesterday, as it's now past midnight)...

Paydate was December 3rd (ordered through minersource)

Income-wise / on the bitcoin side of things [ and only because of the manufacturing / shipping delays ] I was somewhat disappointed that it performs "merely as promised..." so I really can't do much to improve that, though once I got everything configured right I spent some time hacking around and loading flappy bird onto it.

Plays great!

I'll bet they renege on that promise, too - just like they're refusing refunds that they promised in March and April. They're out of money, because they spent it all to buy parts.

They'll probably give you 10% off their new scrypt miner, though, whose development they financed with our pre-order money.
