Absolutely agree with you. Now we do not know who actually gets the documents sent by us to KYC and it's not safe. But in the future, perhaps it will be more secure and anonymous.

In my opinion this is usually an ordinary fraud that only requires your username or your Ethereum and Bitcointalk profile link, email addresses may not be mandatory because it might be used to send you some email phishing links. KYC for airdrops is really strange, because giveaway, KYC is for pre sales and public sales.

I personally I do not like the idea of KYC that majority of projects now require from investors not to even talk of airdrops. I think is not necessarily in Cryptocurrency. If there is a way it could be reviewed and get stopped I would be glad.

yes i agree with you, KYC should not be implemented in any airdrops or bounty campaigns, as a respect to the right of privacy of each people who participated. Also this should be only be given to the investors.

lol there's no way I'd do KYC for an airdrop, I'd try to even avoid bounties that require KYC, it shouldn't be a legal requirement anyway.

Sending your data to get a few bucks is a risky occupation, first you can run into a scam project and all your data will be stolen and become available on the Internet; secondly, you can not send anything saying that your passport information is not suitable for them.

What amount do you gain from the airdrops that commit you to pass the KYC? Is this great? At times, we just get a little sum from the airdrop. When we should send our ID to the bizarre individuals to get just that sum, is it an arrangement? Is it productive for us? I don't think so. KYC is Know Your Customer. The airdrop seeker isn't a client, isn't it

I am with you in this. This KYC is a kind of barrier the govt is trying to put on the crypto and there are lot of projects who has adopted it gleefully. I also believe that with this, the whole idea of cryptos will die and it'll become another the old fashioned financial system, only system that it'll be using blockchain instead of ledgers.

I agree with you!
There is parasites in society who not happy if you have freedom. They will do everything to take freedom from you.(when you have freedom you dont work for them) You have 2 options either you work for them knowingly or un knowngly.or fight against it this will not last very long anyways.
So the whole point is that capitalists who want you to serve them.
Capital is king of the world nothing else really matters

for airdrop I don't think it's necessary, but good already has a way to prevent greedy people. but may be able to use other methods do not need to go to kyc because airdrop is just a free token. investment also actually does not need to use kyc. what if the project carries privacy technology? they say privacy but we are sued for kyc  Grin

KYC for airdrops? Are you kidding? I understand why kyc is needed for ico but airdrops..... I think this is just an excuse not to pay tokens.

Well I don't see anything wrong if any project wish to  request KYC for airdrop, the only way it will be bad is that when the project developers  refuse to  inform the airdrop hunters before  the start of the airdrop and at the end they now come up with KYC.

Okay kyc is the problem but i have solution!
For the problem if the ico-s want to collect identy information then the only way is to do if there is some
Third party involved trusted and legit secured and insured company or organisation who will verify the ico investor or air drop receiver or bounty receiver.
This is the only way to do this right way.
Ico creators have legal rights even to request id verification if you do ask this you should be insured as company and with encrypted security! And someone should be hold as a responsible person.
Since the ico -s cant compile those requitments then they have no rights to ask you kyc.
Anyone who asking is doing criminal unlawful action you as customer providing kyc to unregulated and without any license ico you also basecly commiting unlawful and not legal action !!

It is unregulated and unlawful to provide your id to the unregulated ico.
If you do so the law will not protect you.
Regulated registered and insured third party should be involved in this this is only proper way to do it.
And legimate third party will keep personal information confident from ico.

i agree with you. i think when we take part in airdrop or bounty, we are getting free token, and KYC don't mean with them. i don't want to give some information important to any project which i get free token and i dont invest in this. So i think the KYC don't need when wen participate in airdrop and bounty

Airdrop with KYC is unnecessary. Even in ICO but Im not sure if we have international law for that. Im still hoping that we'll go back to the old airdrop procedure not linking on bounty. Still looking forward to that. I just noticed that company's more demanding now than before that you don't spend more than 3 minutes to register for the coin's airdrop.

Very negative attitude to a trend such as KYC because I believe that all this is clearly not safe for this user, you also understand that very soon a person can suffer from the fact that he publishes data on the network.
