I asked Hash Cows about it I'll let you know if they respond favorably. They just added zeit and some other coin so now that's 3 they allow payout in, can't see why adding HBN would be a problem.
For me it may be the volume, if you want to buy a "lot" of HBN "right now", there is not that much offer to do so...

Good news. After fixing a small issue with the Pi, it staked quite easily within 10 minuets of 1500 coins at 20 days weight, after getting up to current. https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/8233-pihobonickels/I am considering loading up a few of these bad boys with version 1.4.0.1 and some coins, and selling them. Fast load time, easy staking, should be perfect for the pi. If you are interested in buying or helping, let me know. i'd be interested! hell ya, great use for a pi

For me it may be the volume, if you want to buy a "lot" of HBN "right now", there is not that much offer to do so... then the laws of supply and demand kick in. If you need to pay higher prices to fill orders let it be so. It just means that HBN is actually much more valuable then it is now. Limiting mulitpools to coins like MINT, ECC or ZEIT doesn't make sense because percentage-wise, they can move just as much if not more than HBN.

sigh...this has been such a painful blockchain sync. I'm running 1.4.0.1, have had checkpoint warnings off and on throughout the sync, which I assume are ok for now, seems all my peers are on older versions, and its been going > 24hrs now and still ~60k blocks to go. I've got a bad feeling its not going to be legit when its done, either.
Attempted using the linked blockchain from April 6th (or whenever), but it just started at block 0 anyways. Maybe I'll revisit that again if this ends up not working out as it is.

It is a long proccess, It took me 26 hours to re-sync. It took 2 tries because my server crashed on the first run, corruptin the blk0001.dat file (I was halfway through ). Don't worry about the "checkpoint too old" message. It's because at some point in the sync, the checkpoint of that perticular block the client is at is too old, but it gets fixed as soon as it continues to sync with the network. If you could download from the link Tranz posted, it should take a few minutes to download, if not, then just be patient, you'll get there

I'm doing a research project on coin distribution for both older and new coins. I'm interested on gathering some data for top addresses and how much of the coins the top100 have. This along with the number of people (addresses) actually holding any amount of coins.
I have some info from bitinfocharts on a few coins but I really do need some data on other coins along with less exposed or new ones.
If anyone knows an explorer with this feature drop a line.

I've been getting the pi to re-sync. So far 3 days in at 670k. Most of the issue seems to be with new check points coming in and causing a slow down by searching for orphans.. I shut down at 400k and take a snapshot, just in case. Don't worry about checkpoints until you are 100%. Then a quick shutdown/snapshot/restart as a quick procedure to make sure all is good. I think we need a few fast dedicated seed nodes out there as well. Bootstrapping is quickly being the fastest method.

HBN has always adjusted the difficulty for PoS/PoW for every block since the beginning. Changing to a more complex system to accomplish the same means is irrelevant.

HBN has always adjusted the difficulty for PoS/PoW for every block since the beginning. Changing to a more complex system to accomplish the same means is irrelevant. And since there was that whole massive KGW exploit issue not that long ago... it was pretty cool that HBN didn't have to fret over it and release a rushed update.

happy to announce http://hashco.ws now has an option to pay out in HBN! Help spread the word, and come bring your hashrate. Just sign up, go to 'User Info' -> 'Account Settings' and choose to get paid out in HBN! I'll announce some hbn-based giveaways if we can get a decent hashrate built up. Couple of notes: You can still chose to optionally keep any other alt that we mine as well. The 'Confirmed Exchanged' number is only an estimate when getting paid out in an alt-coin instead of btc, as the final exchange rate of btc/hbn isn't determined, so could change slightly. HBN Payouts happen once daily at ~04:30 UTC Happy Mining.

HBN is the first PoW/PoS hybrid with automatic payments on hashco.ws
a big thanks to nearmiss for listening to the HBN community and their request for a HBN multipool!
