Hello community, I have heard some reports that 'someone' has put $1 million on Bitcoin being $50,000 before the end of 2018 and other conflicting reports that Bitcoin is a bubble that is going to burst. I understand this is very much a time will tell kind of question and some may argue that the press has said bitcoin is going to burst/fail since it came out but look at it now... and I understand there may be at least a chance it could be worth $1 million in the future. What I am asking is what are the big Bitcoin holders thoughts on this are they bailing or are they holding for the long hall, if they are holding can 'The Bitcoin Bubble' really still burst? I have most of my eggs riding in this crazy but attractive world and would really appreciate inside feedback. Thanks for reading

Bitcoin is a bubble that can happen at any time, and I also expect bitcoin prices to soar up to $ 50,000 in 2018, and in the future I also believe bitcoin will have a higher value.

Thanks for your feedback, I understand there can be swings but can the Bitcoin bubble burst all together at any point, i.e. permanently?

I have most of my eggs riding in this crazy but attractive world and would really appreciate inside feedback. Thanks for reading You can checked this thread, Is Bitcoin now the biggest bubble of all time?. There are plenty of good arguments in it so I suggest you go and read it. Personally, bitcoin is a bubble specially when there are a lot of irrational buyers coming in and pumping the price to greater heights and then it will burst suddenly. However, it going to be a continues cycle, bubble has been burst, and then recovery began, another pump started pushing to another all-time-high. So that is the pattern. But its really hard to compare bitcoin to let's say the tulip mania, because it never did recover, even the dotcom bubble as well. Bitcoin on the other hand shows resiliency, able to comeback and goes even further from its previous all-time-high.

Yes, I think bitcoin is a bubble and you'd better be ready to leave because the price will drop anytime. The market for bitcoin is similar every year, but the price is not rising. That's bitcoin.

Hi, I checked out that thread and there is some good reading in it. Thanks Yaunfitda. I had not heard of the 'Tulip' before - interesting stuff. I am in for the long hall and regardless of swings will be riding it long term.

I've also read many articles about bitcoin being a bubble. Many make sense, but after the bubble burst, it is another high start, but I do not advise a novice to take the plate, which will cost you money.

Thanks for your feedback, I understand there can be swings but can the Bitcoin bubble burst all together at any point, i.e. permanently? No bitcoin is not a bubble and i believe on it.There might be changes that we can witness but bitcoin is solid and slowly showing its importance to the community.I also read some articles regarding to bitcoin being a bubble but i don't believe on them.I would not listen to others i will follow what i truly believe.

Do you think Bitcoin will rise and repeat bubble then burst going up overall and then stabilise, or will it eventually die?
I agree with cuteness that the community behind bitcoin and its history of pushing back through everytime the weak here a bad press report and flea will ensure its long term reign.

bitcoin is not a bubble.. its an asset
bitcoins price IS currently in a bubble
take the real estate market. houses are an asset, but the prices can INFLATE real quick above a steady average. this sudden rise for no infrastructural reason is where the prices are in a bubble. and when it bursts it drops to a lower more realistic level
real estate has had its bubbles, as have many assets. bubbles dont mean the asset is not real. bubbles mean the price is currently very inflated due to alot of hot air(speculation)

Bitcoin survived many death attempts already. It has grown wildly, bouncing back even stronger after each attempt.
It will not die.

If the bitcoin bubble bursts, this is what will happen next Bitcoin looks like it's heading towards a major crash. If it happens, crypto-millionaires will be hit hardest while governments move to regulate the cryptocurrency.
But for me bitcoin will continue for the sucess even some goverments is not in favor of bitcoin.

you are way too late to the bubble party and FUD. it is long over and done with.
price reached $20,000 which was a big bubble then it burst and it was corrected somewhere along the line of 50% drop down to $10,000 but thanks to all the fear and FUD and newbie weak hands it didn't stop there. the drop went on to become one of the biggest dumps in history of bitcoin a -70% drop.... and that was the end of the bubble talk.
now price is on the recovery from that big dump and market is going back to normal levels to reach there and after that start rising.
none of your POLL options is a correct choice by the way.

My vote is that we are in a recovery phase. However, there is a slight possibility that we haven’t seen the bottom yet, so if the price were to drop significantly more, you could say that this is still a bubble. I am hopeful that Bitcoin has hit bottom and is gradually increasing so that at some point in the near future, there will be a big breakout in the positive direction.

I do not think that bitcoin is a bubble, because bubbles will explode at any time, and die in a fast time.
but bitcoin is not like that, as long as bitcoin still has high spread and large volume, bitcoin will last long.
so, in my opinion, bitcoin is crypto currency, and not bubble or ponzi.
patient and waiting is what we should do when bitcoin prices are unstable.

In my opinion, bitcoin isn't a bubble because last year experts said bitcoin will just pop and will be gone at the end of 2017 but as of today bitcoin is still alive. Why? Because bitcoin is the future, it is where we are going to be. I dont think it will pop and just gone because as long as the community uses it, it will stay alive. As time passes by, there is increasing amount of people who use bitcoin as form of transaction. There are still country who recognize bitcoin as their transaction but it not yet that wide on the country like here in the Philippines. Bitcoin is like a email, as long as the people use it it wont die.

If bitcoin is a currency, then its current function as a means of payment is apparently a failure, and it is hard to imagine using it as a way of payment in everyday life, given the huge fluctuations in exchange rates. We see again that those who do not really understand bitcoin listen to stories and earn huge amounts of wealth by buying bitcoin early on.

It looks like the general vibe so far is Bitcoin will rise into a bubble and burst repeatidly before eventually stabilising. The drops will push out the weak and the ling term holders will prevail? Does no one think Bitcoin will die at some point and if you do, why?

That was just FUD that had been spread. Think about it. When the FUD is successful then people will panic and sell resulting to a decrease in value in bitcoin.
Let us put it this way. If I am a whale and I already sold all my bitcoin to dollar or any other coin. I can somehow use that money to pay others to spread the bad news. Or someone powerful enough for it to look like it is legit. Then after the decrease in value I can buy back doubling the bitcoin that I will hold. It is good business.

The way things panned out since 2011, it seems that bitcoin goes through several bubbles that is being inflated and bursting only to be inflated again at a latter time. Naturally, a bubble is something that goes completely out of hand before being permanently gone for good, but with the way how bitcoin market's move, it seems that this will be a continuous push and pull effort from the bears and the bulls until we reach a point of stability or no volume at all. The use-cases of bitcoin is pretty limited, with investments being the leading reason why people are buying the coin, that's why the price action is pretty much active no matter what the trend is.

I don't think so. A bubble lasts for few seasons. After commencement Bitcoin never been died. Beside it's currency value it has strong power for bonding relationship with one another. Bitcoin forum is the vivid example. Has the bubble any power such as this. How I can a forum member invest in bubble.

We aren't the lord to predict the future. But if bitcoin will sooner be gone, what will happen to its investors and negotiators though? they have been taking the risk of trusting their works and money and I guess investors and affiliates is the one who's making it stand to do work, so I guess its only clear that bitcoin isnt like a bubble.

I believe it is a bubble. I do not however believe it is a fraud. The fact is that there is no inherent value in BTC for the time being and that valuations are pure 100% speculation. History has shown us that this never lasts and eventually values fall in line with fundamentals. When this happens and to what degree i have no degree, it is however a certainty.

bitcoin had a lot of bubbles and it will have a lot more in the future, some huge ones and even small ones alike.
but right now i do not think we can call bitcoin a bubble anymore because its price has dropped A LOT. you can not have a 70% drop and still consider the asset a bubble and this is while bitcoin has a big intrinsic value which is a lot higher than current price.

For me everything is a bubble and the good thing is they can surely bounce back just like any others stocks before. Bitcoin is not different from them in terms of price cycle, I think instead of bubble better to say its just a healthy correction that can help us to go higher in the futue. I am holding my coins no matter what people say, if this is a bubble let it burst and hold until it bounce again.

It's good to see different opinions on this and there also seems to be some common traits between opinions. I did also here allot of vibe about the whales trying to force out the weak.
I got a tip for how to look up what the Biggest Bitcoin holders in the world are doing on the blockchain explorer. The deposits in and out of there wallet seem to reflect market swings.
Not sure if I am aloud to put links in my posts yet as still a Newbie?? If I am I will share with you guys so you can look up the explorer and see what I am talking about. (If I am not allowed to put direct link up I am fairly sure you will be able to google it to work it out.) VERY USEFUL
Does this been the long term survival of Bitcoin is in the hands of the big holders?

Are there any indicators to look out for that indicate when these temporary Bitcoin bubbles might burst. I heard if once Bitcoin reaches $12,400 it will not have a final retrace and will hit a golden cross and go bullish.....any thoughts on this.

On the off chance that bitcoin is a cash, at that point its present capacity as a methods for installment is clearly a disappointment, and it is difficult to envision utilizing it as a method for installment in regular day to day existence, given the colossal vacillations in return rates. We see again that the individuals who don't generally comprehend bitcoin tune in to stories and win tremendous measures of riches by purchasing bitcoin from the get-go.

Forget about BTC, close the forum and order a ticket to Siberia! Just kidding Anything could happen, we are here on our own risk.

It's understandable that bitcoin is a bubble, but because the technology of crypto currency is constantly improving demand more than offers and in the end it will still be growth.

Bitcoin sometimes seems to behave like a bubble getting bigger then shrinking. I don't think it will burst altogether. If it ends it will be a slow fade away but I don't think it will end any time soon. It's been going a good number of years now and things have been a lot worse before now.

Bitcoin is not a bubble. Everyone of us have been witness of how bitcoin has increased in price since the year 2009 when bitcoin was created. Bitcoin is not a bubble because is a new technolgical and financial creation of the latest century and can be used for many different things and purposes. The best of purposes I believe is that it can be used as a store of value some times changing a person life if he has been patient enough. There is a reason why bitcoin is called gold 2.0 .

Many experts say that bitcoin is a bubble. There are fluctuations in prices or corrections on every market. The cryptocurrency market is a young growing market. After each large drop, the price recovers. If bitcoin was a bubble it would have died a long time ago.

This kind of discussion will not simply go away. Bitcoin works in a circular manner. It goes down, crashes and then recovered. So I think that you can called it a bubble. But some experts still insists in its. But I don't think that the basic fundamental law of economics isn't applicable to crypto in general. The tulip bubble is different, the dotcom bubble is different. They are not even comparable.

You're on point. I wonder why people call Bitcoin a bubble forgetting that It's the next phase of financial advancement. If it was a bubble, I figured it would've been day a long time ago. But amidst the fuds and negativity people in the media and higher positions throw at it, It's still standing tall and strong. Bitcoin would shock a lot of people in years to come when people stop thinking about it as a bubble and see it for the technology it represents.

Thanks for your feedback, I understand there can be swings but can the Bitcoin bubble burst all together at any point, i.e. permanently? No. The parameters that govern or determine the price of bitcoin known as market forces are a mix and hence the bubble cannot eventually result permanently burst..... It is not a Ponzi Scheme, where people's funds are used to pay the up liners.....

I observed that the way bitcoin is going, it will eventually become a backed currency accepted by many countries as instrument for payment. It follows then that the burst expected in a bubble is likely to not happen

Bitcoin is a bubble that can happen at any time, and I also expect bitcoin prices to soar up to $ 50,000 in 2018, and in the future I also believe bitcoin will have a higher value.
Agree with that, we really don't know where it goes, any time there is a change which everyone isn't expecting it to happen. As we recall 2017 bitcoin's price are totally soaring high which bring to much attention to the public, but suddenly it goes down fast just like the way it goes up.

It make sense that bitcoin is a bubble but i think for the next few years it will overcome it's problems and bitcoin price will gonna be stable although right now there's a high chance that bitcoin is a bubble that can burst anytime but i hope that it's not gonna happen sooner.

Bitcoin is not a bubble, the price will stabilize and Bitcoin will be here to stay. The G20 discussion on cryptocurrencies this month will result in worldwide regulations and that will put a halt to the price increase. The price will be stabilized around 10K and Bitcoin will be accepted worldwide, but it will no longer be decentralized.

The saying Bitcoin is a bubble is an entirely unreasonable thing, mainly based on the fact that the exchange rate of the crypto fluctuates in time, has sometimes dropped to $8000. I always believed that Bitcoin would become the future of money in the future. The next 20 years cryptocurrencies will become more popular at the present time with the approval of governments in the countries.

Bitcoin is a bubble. Yes. But he will not die. It will only inflate and deflate periodically. With each time becoming more and more. Over time, crypto currencies will completely replace fiat money.

Thanks for reading Hopefully bitcoin will just stabilize not burst. Not like oil or any products, bitcoin is just an alternative for fiat and other banking transactions, yes it has several features but we can still do the traditional transactions without bitcoin. My point is, the main function of bitcoin is not far with banks so there would be a possibility of it to just burst.

any pyramid has top management! I believe that Bitcoin is a pyramid, but the pyramid does not have a manager! Because, the more people invest in the crypto world, the higher the rate of all currencies! But in my opinion this is a very serious alternative to paper money! The popularity is growing exponentially like capitalization!

Some used to call "Bitcoin a bubble" when it was $500. Same when it was $1000. Same now, and same when it goes $100K.
Real estate is in bubble. Why do I need a million $/euros to get an average apartment in most European city centres. How much do the bricks cost? A thousand each? It is just "Supply & Demand" some will say. Alright then the same rule applies to the BTC

Instead of asking if there is a bubble in the price of Bitcoin, it might as well be used in one sentence: the bubble is not terrible, and the fear is that the bubble bursts.

Cryptocurrency bitcoin has been the subject of several accolades over the past year, from Wall Street in the us to the neighborhood of Singapore, where it has become a topic of conversation.
Investors have to keep in mind that volatility is a two-way street, and the price of encryption can rise quickly, as does the pace of decline. Bitcoin is a bubble that can happen at any time.

Bitcoin is not a bubble media organization like wall street journal promote negative propaganda in case of bitcoin. Now you will think is wall street have enmity with bitcoin. The answer is some bitcoin hater will funded wall street to promote negative propaganda against bitcoin. Media is all about funding and advertisement. The price of bitcoin is very stable and it isn’t a bubble.

In fact, bitcoin has clear properties of the bubble, since without internal value and unsecured, it reached a very high price only by increasing the demand for it. We also know that the growth in demand for bitcoin was due to that. that people hoped to get a big profit from the growth of its price, that is, purely speculative interests prevailed. Many states have already paid attention to this property of the bubble, urging their citizens not to invest in bitcoin because it represents a big risk of losing the funds invested in it.

On the off likelihood that bitcoin may be a money, at that time its gift capability as a strategies for installment is clearly a disappointment, and it's troublesome to examine utilizing it as a technique for installment in regular day to day existence, given the prodigious vacillations reciprocally rates. we tend to see once more that the people UN agency do not typically comprehend bitcoin tune up to stories and win tremendous measures of wealth by getting bitcoin from the point.

Is the Euro a bubble? No! The Euro is a currency!

So what is Bitcoin? It’s a digital currency and it has an exchange rate price vs all other currencies..

If people want to call bitcoin a bubble, they ought to explain why exactly it is, instead of incompetently comparing it to past bubbles that do not share any characteristics with bitcoin other than a big price tag. If bitcoin were a bubble, it would be the largest one humankind has ever witnessed (not counting the 6,000-year old gold bubble, of course). But that is unlikely. It is more likely that bitcoin is just an amazing creation. Its value and potential dwarfs any fintech idea heretofore imagined, and the blockchain communities are just getting started.

I don't think bitcoin has a big bubble, and the price of bitcoin is constantly rising in the correction. People only see the price of bitcoin increasing and the bitcoin community is constantly expanding. If bubbles are to be felt, altcoin is a lot of bubbles.

As for me, it’s not fair to say or confirm that bicoin is a bubble. Let’s have a short comparison between bitcoin and dot-com bubble. The market capital of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are significantly different from those of dot-com bubble in several key respects. And the most important one is the the different size of “the bubble”. At its “peak” now, the cryptocurrencies is around $385 billion, whereas the dot-com bubble was roughly $6.8 trillion, or about 18 times of the size.

I think bitcoin is not a bubble, bitcoin movement is definitely up and down and very different from bubbles that can break at any time, bitcoin has many enthusiasts and many buy orders are blocking at the bottom of the price so I do not think bitcoin like bubbles that after rupture can not recovered again.

Highly depends on who you ask, if you ask someone watching from the outside (someone who doesn't get involved in bitcoin ) then they're going to most likely say yes. But if you ask someone who has invested in crypto, doesn't matter at what point in time, they're going to say that bitcoin has done this time and time again and that it's going to recover.
Though, I'll be the one in the middle who's honest, no one really knows. That's the real story.

BTC from birth to now after a rally for many times, after repeated fell at the same time, it has collapsed, have a plenty of Yin fell for a long time, by this kind of thing is usual, basically all sorts of conditions are met many times, if it is a bubble, the collapse of the early?
But bitcoin has survived...
So I said that bitcoin is valuable and not a bubble.

Thanks for all the great opinions, I love this community - finally we can talk freely and have an opinion without the man trying to force his view.
Looks like Bitcoin is bouncing back once again, is there a way to tell when it is next likely to 'correct'? or indicators that can be used to move to tether during correction times?

Do not ponayu why many people say that bitcoin is a bubble? If you understand the essence of the job bitcoin and everything else, then you will understand that this is not so, have you seen that at least one bubble would have a capitalization of 300 billion? ask yourself this question?

In fact, yes, however sad it is to admit it! Like any other pyramid or bubble, bitcoin exists as long as people believe in it, as soon as everyone wants to return their invested money, the price will drop dramatically!
As long as many people are starting using it and trusting how the market goes bitcoin will sure have a time that its price will be stabilized and have a definite price. For now many people are keep insisting that bitcoin is a bubble and anytime its price will eventually go down.

I agree with you . Bitcoin can not be considered a bubble because the market is still very new and we can invest now. If we want to see Bitcoin as a bubble, we should wait for at least 50 years to clear it up. I personally prefer to use Bitcoin or Ethereum for payment because the transaction costs are very cheap and I can pay all over the world without much legal issues.

I do not think bitcoin is a bubble. But its price is higher, because it is popular. To him a lot of interest. This is a strong currency.

I think it went through a market cycle just like a stock or any other cryptocurrency! This is a fundamental of an investment instrument like this. I think bitcoin just has a value since it is the FIRST cryptocurrency, but in terms of a technology or as a currency I am not that sure. I believe it paved the way for a new medium of currency and that it self is a huge thing. Again, bitcoin is not in a bubble it just went through a market cycle.

the word bubble does not apply correctly to bitcoin! if someone else has doubts about the entire crypto market and bitcoin, then it is better to study more additional information! that growth which shows bitcoin is accompanied by the fact that this market is crude and absolutely new! We are at the very beginning of development!

Bitcoin has no clear value and the market is largely unregulated. This combined with psychological illusions, makes the bitcoin bubble bigger than anything we find in the history books on the economic bubble.

I believe that bitcoin is a bubble that will get big and bigger through the years and eventually will blow up. It will start again from the starting point and will process again. It will circulate through time. I believe that bitcoin is a bubble, but it won't die easily, because it is really strong and popular right now. It is a strong currency that I can relate to a strong bubble.

Thanks for reading The deeper research of the Bitcoin bubble is still valuable, because for all those who pay attention to payment, currency or trust, there is a fascinating connotation.

Bitcoin is not yet the most stable thing in the world, but nevertheless, it is reliable. For many years now, it has only been improving and I have never had any doubts about its safety, as well as the majority of people-investors. And that deserves respect.

At present it is not a bubble, but in the future I do not know what will happen, once the capital of this market is too big and the sharks can not control and earn in this market and when. They will withdraw capital from the market, then it will become a bubble.

All I know is that, the bubble with soon start from 27th upward. The information that someone put $1 million might be true. But I know the Amazon will soon get started fully on Cryptocurrency and I heard the are investing $1 trillion dollars in Bitcoin. With that only the bubble will just Begin immediately. We have recently seen the market that there are increase in all the coin even if not stable now. So my advice is to invest now at least $100 can make you someone immediately bubble start well.

I think the BTC is a bubble and they can break down at any time. So what we need to do now is to sell when it is profitable. Should not hold them for long periods of time. We can not predict the future development of BTC.

Not. I think they will grow in the future and they are more popular now. BTC is accepted by many countries for the payment of goods and services. So the collapse of the BTC is unlikely.

There are price controls and an unlimited number of investment products, which may be somewhat unreliable in the short term, but certainly not a bubble in the long run.

If we go by the actual definite of economic bubble, then any asset which lacks utility but still have a hige worth is termed as bubble. Bitcoin which is only being run on supply and demand which is a result of speculation can be termed as bubble. But will this bubble burst is hard to tell because cryptocurrencies are completely new form of economic model which have short history and hence can't be tested over traditional economic terms.

Bitcoin is a new technology that has only lasted 9 years, it takes less than 1% of world economy currency and it still has a unit of 8, in form of the satoshis. It has the ability to grow a larger extent has possible. More so, the believe that less than 1000 owns the largest portion has been faulted. This few numbers if they are really that available are able to manipulate the market always, always causing the bubble. The population still holding bitcoin is still in their few million, so we still have a lot to do to get it to at least a billion of the world population. By then, the trade volume will be high and the small unit bitcoin will be valuable and the price will tell how much everyone is really hodling now. bubble is not yet here and the coin is still growing

Why are there always such questions, 2016 2017 when the bitcoin up there are also questions like this, and from that time until now the market is like a bubble? I think bitcoin is still the future of digital money in a few years, even in electronic payments!

No, bitcoin is not a bubble that will burst and be gone. Bitcoin survived already for many years, going up and down, like a roller coaster. Yes maybe its a bubble, but a mutant bubble. The bubble that pops in order to create a much bigger bubble. Well, let us see. It's better that way.

I do not think bitcoin is a bubble, as many have reported, because bitcoin is different and very special, it is not a company that can lose profitability and fail. This is certainly not a speculative real estate fraud that can collapse due to fraudulent orders and banks. Bitcoin is something else, its value does not increase due to market lies, but this does not guarantee that bitcoin works out if the bad thing happens to the underlying protocol. Not the same as an authorized price or artificial bubble. this is the result of a technological or community failure not due to market failure.

Hello, Bitcoin will burst when the investors (such as finance group) don't want it anymore - but it seems no at this moment and it will not end when it bursts. Think of this, bitcoins cannot purchase goods as many as the USD does. Check its chart , Bitcoin starts growing in 2016 while there had almost no retailers or e-stores accepting bitcoins while it was useless to hold bitcoins. This is obvious that someone or some strength were economically pushing bitcoin price up but it is not obvious to who was pushing (Possibly Satoshi with his mates )

I really don't think that bitcoin is just a bubble that anytime it will burst though or just gone on the thin air , by the various factor of bitcoin no doubt that bitcoin has a potential on surviving on the near future.
I don't know why other thinking bitcoin as a bubble though , but then again , i'm optimistic and looking forward through bitcoin in the near future.

I think the whole crypto market (and pretty much all other markets in existence) is in a bubble right now, BUT when it comes to Bitcoin- price wise, there is no comparable technology to compare it to! So i think the price of Bitcoin will have crashes and swings, but overall as long as adoption stays on a positive trend (in the overall long-run) I believe the price will follow!

Many now say that bitcoin is a bubble that will burst sooner or later. But I'm sure it's not. A bubble, as many people imagine, is something that has grown rapidly, by many percent. Or maybe the cryptocurrency market has such a large capital deficit, such a large demand, such asymmetry of supply and demand that this is just the beginning? If you look at the shares of Amazon, for example, in 2001, they were also a bubble. But, first, after shares fell Amazon and other Internet companies, no one not blacked out from the Internet only because, that fell shares. The Internet as the market developed, expanded, despite the fact that shares fell. I think it's a good analogy. And more. Even if you bought Amazon stock at its peak in 2001, you still have a thousand times more money in dollars, because the shares rose a thousand times from the highest point of the dotcom boom period. There is a good thesis: money is infinite, and assets are finite. Every month 200 billion dollars are printed all over the world. And interesting assets, interesting companies are not created so much, so the concentration of capital can be crazy in one interesting asset. And his assessment can be very big.

Bitcoin is actually a very small bubble compared to other historical assets and industries
a much more bigger bubble you can watch now but nobody really talks about is USA debt.. have u seen?
its something like 21 trillion! u could pile up money and reach the moon with all that money
so bitcoin it’s still a long way to go!

Bitcoin is not a bubble because so many rich people are made up of virtual currencies and especially Bitcoin, Bitcoin has reached a relatively high price in the market as well as many other countries. Monks are eager for this currency to start a new world.

I don't think bitcoin is a bubble that can burst anytime. Yes, the price will go up and down, but that doesn't mean it will be ruined. Because this is what an investment look like. Just like investing in gold. Their price is up and down but they never burst.

Btc is not a bubble in large picture. , It's very very volatile asset in other words, bubble is reffered as scam thing , people invest in it to gain some high profits and in the end they never recover anything from it (Hugh loss) , But let just assume you bought at ath 20000$ in , And if you can hold you btc till the next one year it will give profit {but still it's highly volatile asset}

The BTC is certainly not a bubble. People believe in bitcoin, and its value will continue to rise. It is the world currency that travels through virtual and real space.
The game of bitcoin will continue. Prices will rise.

It is hard to tell whether Bitcoin is a bubble or not. Even if it is a bubble, it has survived for almost a decade, which makes it unique from all the other bubbles out there. I'd say that it is a bubble worth investing in.

I disagree. bitcoin is an alternative to currency exchange or trade transactions. Bitcoin is created from the development of technology, not just a political wisdom of a country, for example: the case of tulip mania. Bitcoin prices occur due to the buying and selling process.

Systematic investment leads to higher gains, bitcoin rise so fast and much more potential is there in a bitcoin. If it's a bubble we are happy to take advantage from it as its in a early stage and going towards $50000. Happy investing.

Already more than 100 million people are using Bitcoin, and I don't think that we can call ourselves as early adopters anymore. Those guys who invested in Bitcoin when the prices were below $10 per coin (in 2011 and 2012) can be termed as early adopters. But even then, it is never to late to invest in crypto.

Bitcoin is a bubble that can explode and leak at any time, and I also expect bitcoin prices to rise to $ 40,000 by 2018, and in the future I also believe that bitcoin will be worth more.

Personally, I don't think Bitcoin is a bubble, I firmly believe that it is here to stay. It has survived almost ten years, getting through all the challenges that comes its way so I think its has not survived all that for nothing. I understand that it is very volatile and not stable but then all markets are like that, so it is a natural thing. I still believe that Bitcoin is good for investment and for the future so I will continue to holding my coins and buying whenever I can for my own and my family's future.

I believe that Bitcoin is unstable, developing innovation, a system with a big room for improvement but it's not a bubble at all. Most of us believe that Bitcoin has the potential to transform the way we live in the financial sector and there is a tremendous scope for the growth in the future. I know things can go wrong and it might fail but that's the whole different story. As of now, I believe in it as a technology and I am optimistic about the future.

If it bursts then it probably is a bubble. If it doesn't burst then it probably isn't. Maybe it's a balloon that will just deflate slowly. But only time will tell.

Bubbles don't last for this long. If Bitcoin had been a bubble than institutional investors and billionaires wouldn't had been investing into Bitcoin. Many people think Bitcoin is a bubble cause they aren't used to seeing such volatility as we see in Bitcoin markets. But we see this volatility in bitcoin cause it is unregulated and is open 24 hours for trading.

I think bitcoin is not like bubbles but bitcoin like wave just up and down will not break like a broken bubble, when bubbles break then it will not be able to do the price recovery but if the waves then the price can at any time back up to be very expensive.

If bitkoyn is a real bubble, it is very interesting, because it lives its own life and develops in accordance with the laws of the wild financial market. And this bubble has a good opportunity to grow.

as I see btc now has the desired price which is quite normal as so many investors invested in it. But the price in December was a pure bubble and it bursted by falling down sharply and the amounts such as 50k$ seem unimaginable to me.

When the price of bitcoin rises and suddenly drops sharply in a short time, many people think that bitcoin is a bubble and it will explode at any time. But I do not think so, bitcoin is becoming more popular, many people use it. Bitcoin is not a bubble, it will become currency in the future.

The bitcoin conspiracy by haters sponsor this kind of propaganda against the revolution called bitcoin. To compare, in the slightest way, bitcoin to a bubble is to not understand the concept of decentralisation, cryptocurrency and the 21st century way to carrying out business.

Yes that is correct for me. They do this kind of rumor just so to compare with what happened with those investments schemes that also rise then suddenly fall in just a snap. Well, they have to think again. If one person will just believe this rumor that spreads all over and never had a chance to even experience how cool bitcoin is then he will regret it when the time comes. This should be stopped.

bitcoin is a bubble! this topic has already been discussed many times! my personal opinion, yes bitcoin is a bubble - as long as there is a demand the price will constantly grow! as soon as people stop investing and use bitcoin, the price will fall! but censure pleases, then that no one controls the bitkion!

I can assure you that bitcoin is not a bubble or balloon but every great opportunity comes with great risk and most of the risk are caused by an organization or group (SEC, regulator or government) which literally manipulate the price of bitcoin.

In my opinion, this is a little less than completely reminiscent of the bubble, as the cost of bitcoin grows due to the growth of the cost of its mining, creating a sense of growth in its value.

the 2 big qustions that keep coming up are is bitcoin a bubble is bitcoin an S-curve the answer its actually both... depending on what your looking at. if your only looking at the HIGH price of a given time. its a bubble.. the speculative hype and air which can inflate prices aswell as burst prices, .. like a bubble. but if you chart the price data and draw a line along the LOWEST prices long term you will see the true value. the part that no one is stupid to sell below. think of the long term lowest line as a water line in a bath.. its a point of resistance.. anything above that is speculative hot air that fluctuates (grows and pops) we are still in the first decade of a many decade life of the coin. which based on things like coin supply (block halving events) and population saturation will have the waterline in a S curve.. and then variable amounts ontop for the speculative bubble based on the small amount of coin moving on exchanges that ends up causing more volatile movements anyway here is an image for the younger generation that can only understand images

Arguably, all markets go through a bubble phase. It is a part of maturation. Bitcoin will skyrocket and crash repeatedly, and eventually will stabilize.

when you hear Bitcoin is a bubble criticism or NoCoiners proclaiming it’s like MySpace, that something “better” will eclipse it and win, it’s an easy bet that they don’t understand the network effects or likely anything else about cryptography and the underpinnings of Bitcoin. They’re a lot like the “Blockchain, not Bitcoin” crowd that also typically understands neither.
Reports of BTC death have been greatly exaggerated. In fact, Bitcoin has been pronounced dead so many times over the years, that an entire website aptly named BitcoinObituaries.com is dedicated to these announcements.
BTC will be 40K by November. Oh and watch out for the 2nd boom........

Arguably, all markets go through a bubble phase. It is a part of maturation. Bitcoin will skyrocket and crash repeatedly, and eventually will stabilize.
Well said, this is also my opinion however I think it is great that Bitcoin talk gives freedom of opinion and the poll allows an honest open gauge for what the majority feels.

the 2 big qustions that keep coming up are is bitcoin a bubble is bitcoin an S-curve the answer its actually both... depending on what your looking at. if your only looking at the HIGH price of a given time. its a bubble.. the speculative hype and air which can inflate prices aswell as burst prices, .. like a bubble. but if you chart the price data and draw a line along the LOWEST prices long term you will see the true value. the part that no one is stupid to sell below. think of the long term lowest line as a water line in a bath.. its a point of resistance.. anything above that is speculative hot air that fluctuates (grows and pops) we are still in the first decade of a many decade life of the coin. which based on things like coin supply (block halving events) and population saturation will have the waterline in a S curve.. and then variable amounts ontop for the speculative bubble based on the small amount of coin moving on exchanges that ends up causing more volatile movements anyway here is an image for the younger generation that can only understand images I truly hope this is this case and we can all benefit greatly for years to come

Actually I don't believe bitcoin is a bubble as you can see now bitcoin was still developing and transforming its own systme to be effective for all of us. If bitcoin is a bubble it should burst now but luckily bitcoin was trying and still working on the price actually the price of bitcoin ever year was rising.

Nobody can reliably answer this question. Not because he doesn't want it but because he doesn't know for sure. All answers can only be assumptions. I think that bitcoin will exist for a long time and all him strong fluctuations are a good opportunity to earn a lot of money.

I trust bitcoin and have never considered it a Scam or a bubble. I believe in the technology itself, not just the way to make money. And if you have any doubts - just do not invest, save your nerves.

Now a lot of skeptics say that cryptocurrency is one big fraud, but if it is, then why in 10 years of its existence, no one could confirm or prove it? I think it's all just talk.

I don't think bitcoin has a big bubble, and the price of bitcoin is constantly rising in the correction. People only see the price of bitcoin increasing and the bitcoin community is constantly expanding. If bubbles are to be felt, altcoin is a lot of bubbles

The real price of bitcoin is what you see right now. Because it is defined by the people and their interest in it. Some people may be controlling the price like bitcoin whales with their dumping and pumping but it is what it is. All you can do is either ride the wave or stand your ground.

bitcoin is not like bubbles if bitcoin like bubbles when it breaks will certainly never get back to the high price again, I think bitcoin like waves which means when bitcoin above then the price can go down and can go back up again.

Well I guess the pumping price of bitcoin then suddenly bursting out because of dumping will never end. Of course it is all about money especially to those investors. It will just depend on the timing of people who joins and leave whether they are lucky or not.

Thanks for reading No Btc isn't a bubble that will blast and be gone. Btc survived as of now for a long time going here and there, similar to an exciting ride. Indeed perhaps its a bubble yet a mutant bubble. The bubble that flies with a specific end goal to make a considerably greater bubble. Well given us a chance to see. It's better that way.

Now as the BTC market is getting its momentum back after the fall in the 1st quarter of the year, the topic " BTC price is a bubble" is arising again. We are going to see more of this type topic, soon in the forum. And if bitcoin fall people will start posting "BTC is dead".

What? A bubble? Not at all, people. Bitcoin is the most reliable cryptocurrency that can change the world for the better. Just deal with it with enthusiasm, and you will be awarded. BTC can improve your life.

I hope not) In fact, to some extent this is true, but people were asked the same way when credit cards appeared. Many people also thought it was a bubble. However, time has passed and people are still actively using them. So there is no definite answer, only time can show it.

Yes, there are a lot of people who invest in Bitcoin and get a lot of profits, and there are also many wealthy investors who have come up with knowledge of virtual currencies. The above things we can get from the market that Bitcoin is not a bubble and it will grow.

I do not think that bitcoin is a bubble, because bubbles will explode at any time, and die in quick time. But bitcoin is not like that, as long as bitcoin still has large spreads and volumes, bitcoin will last a long time. So, in my opinion, bitcoin is a crypto currency, and not a bubble or a ponzi. Be patient and wait is what we should do when bitcoin prices go down.

My voice is that we are in a recovery phase. Nevertheless, there is a small chance that we have not yet seen the bottom, so if the price drops significantly more, you can say that it is still a bubble. I hope that bitcoin has reached the bottom and is gradually growing, so that at some point in the near future there will be a big breakthrough in the positive direction and we will be able to observe new horizons of the price that will not leave us indifferent and many will make so much money.

Unfortunately, We still do not know until when Bitcoin will increase its price and the reason why it is becoming a basis for other cryptocurrency for their value. Bitcoin is recovering from the dump that it has experienced because a lot of investors are investing again for the long term.

Economists have long said that volatility of cryptocurrencies checks all the boxes of a market bubble, but in recent weeks, there’s been debate about when that bubble could burst. No one knows what its real value is According to experts, the real value of Bitcoin is difficult to determine because of two reasons: The currency is incredibly volatile, and trading practices may manipulate behaviour in unregulated exchanges.
Joshua Gans, the Jeffrey S. Skoll Chair of Technical Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto, argues that the Bitcoin bubble isn’t going to burst — because it already has.
“It’s down 60 per cent from December. This is already a burst bubble. And it could burst some more, all the way down to zero,” he said.

The value of bitcoin has risen dramatically and then suddenly dropped. bitcoin has grown slowly for a long time. I've heard many people say that bitcoin is a bubble but I do not think so. Bitcoins are showing signs of recovery. The value of bitcoin will explode and bitcoin will be the currency of the world.

I think it's pretty obvious bitcoin is not like bitcoin bubble is a digital currency that has price movements up and down but if you say bitcoin is a bubble it's wrong because if bubbles then bitcoin will not be able to do price recovery while bitcoin can still do price recovery which means bitcoin is not a bubble.

Bitcoin and the rest of the Market seem to be bouncing back nicely. Does everyone think it is likely to go way up past the rate it will eventually settle at or is it more likely to rise and fall and the reach it's eventual rate before stabilising. Not sure if that makes sense but just wondering what the general opinion is on how it will reach its eventual rate.
Pump will not take bitcoin to 20,000$. It is a slow and steady process and it may take 4 to 5 months until we see 20,000$ again. During this time we may see increase in prices followed by decrease in prices. The prices can not always move in upward direction constantly.
I agree with this and think this will be the most likely outcome. Do you think it will go past and back or just upto evtual stable value. (Obviously I am just speculating that it will eventually find a stable value like all commodities.

What the media label "bubble" could also be called a "price discovery ". What is happening now has never happened before. Although bitcoin mimics the stock market very closely, it isn't actually the same thing. And as bitcoin hasn't gone through an entire market cycle as yet, who knows what the real price may be?
It could be worth $100 or $7 million. Nobody knows for sure and we won't know for a few years. It will continue to crash and recover stronger because the market cap is still very puny by comparison with the share market. There is tons of room to grow, so hold on to your hat...

Bubble or not, it depends on the perspective of each. For me, all kinds of investments have the opportunity to bubble, the difference is its speed. Bitcoin, the movement of the price is quite fast, so the issue of bubble increasingly widespread. No need to be afraid of it, the bitcoin price by the end of 2017 is very high, and now has decreased, you could say that bubble has burst. But look, the price is slowly improving, not causing bitcoin to die.

Bitcoin holders thoughts on this are they bailing or are they holding for the long hall, if they are holding can 'The Bitcoin Bubble' really still burst its true because if the bitcoin in big amount is hold and the little amount in the market will trade than bitcoin price will increasing because of little quantity and huge demand

Bitcoin isn't going anywhere neither is it a bubble that's meant to burst. Bitcoin will get stabilised in the nearest future and all FUDs been spread around now will be no more. this literature will be damaged if bitcoin continues to develop the systems and problems they have about the blocksize system and transaction speed. bitcoin also has strong support from all altcoin as the main conversion goal. positive sentiments continue to grow and skepticism over the bubbles is based only on systems that no one can intervene, we can compare who will survive, whether that is capitalization, or decentralization in the next decade. This is a jurisdiction about which economic system is more fair.

First of all it is not a bubble. Some people believe that bitcoin is a bubble and it will blast any time. This concept is believed by those who don't have elaborate knowledge in it.

Though i don't believe that Bitcoin is indeed a bubble, I have rather seen some trends in it, And that is people invest heavily into bitcoins and then hold for a time and when the value reaches a new high, most tend to sell their bitcoins all at once which brings the value down and the whole thing starts again.

Why in our society is it acceptable to believe what is said in newspapers, TV, magazines? How can people who do not understand new technologies have something to say with confidence? They need to learn again to make some statements in the field of crypto.

We are heading into a future that technology is everywhere and at this point it is clear that soon enough a cash less society will emerge but people is still uncertain if it will be the bitcoin that will bring us into that generation, for me it is not but bitcoin will surely play a big part in order for us to take a step.

I will never understand why there are a lot of people who really think that bitcoin is a bubble.. No, the price is setted up by people, there is "no manipulation" from the outside, except those who put millions into it.

YI think btc is in a bubble, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to burst anytime soon. It’s very likely to go higher because the crypto space has just begun to gain mainstream exposure and btc is the most widely known face for it.

In order to understand a “bubble” one needs to understand the underlying valuation metrics. Most “experts” simply guess at how to value Bitcoin and subsequently explain the price movements very poorly. Tom Lee of Fundstrat (formerly head of research at J.p. Morgan) has come up with a method using Metcalfe’s Law, which says that the value of a network is proportional to the square of the number of users, and explained 94% of Bitcoin’s price movements over the last 4 years.

Generally speaking, if the market is in a bubble, it will have the most of the following features: a hot market (populary of the project and the accession of investors), volatile prices raising up, quick profit and unchecked assets. Based only on this information, there is a high probability that the crypto currency is in the bubble.

I just don't understand why you're still here, if you're a member of this forum you should know about the truely of Bitcoin? It's all depending on the market and that means there is no bubble here, only the rules about supplies and demands.

Bitcoin is a bubble that can happen at any time, and I also expect bitcoin prices to soar up to $ 50,000 in 2018, and in the future I also believe bitcoin will have a higher value.
Yes, that us a reality that must be accepted today. With limited supply, no underline asset to support its value, no central bank as formal issuer or no regulator are main factors making it bubble in price under high demand.

Still remember the bitcoin price at the end of 2017 is fantastic? Then compare with the price when entering early 2018, is not there a significant decline? If that's what we think of as a burst bubble, the price will still get better slowly, right? So, the news about bitcoin as bubble phenomenon has been heard for a long time, no need to fear, even if it does happen I am sure the price will go back up sooner or later.

Bitcoin can never be related to a bubble. Bitcoin was created and designed just like gold. Gold is limited in supply(does not regenerate yet we don't call it a bubble). Bitcoin will recover its price gradually and take the leap from there as the demand and understanding of its concept increases each time.

I do think that bitcoin is a bubble but when it burst it will start climbing back to where the price is and it will stabilize. I do believe this because nothing is impossible now before we did not even care about what bitcoin is and or given notice about it when it first started at a value of cents but if look at it now. Do you ever think that bitcoin will be this big? since when it started? NO right?. This is the kind of feeling I have when it comes to bitcoin if you believe what you believe then it is up to you on what you gonna do about it. We all have different ideas but this is what I believe.

Bitcoin is a bubble that can happen at any time. Bitcoin has experienced several inflating bubbles and will only expand when the last one is inflated. It has survived for nearly a decade, making it unique among all other bubbles.

Thats the million dollar question. There's no question that some alts and icos are a bubble, no doubt. Worthless projects valued at millions of dollars is certainly a bubble. But is the market as a whole a bubble? Bitcoin a bubble? Hard to say. Look at how small the overall marketcap is. Id say that if it were a bubble, we aren't going to see it burst for at least a couple years, until the marketcap nears that if the dotcom bubble.

Agree. The burst in bitcoin means exploding in price and not dying. Because if the "bubble has popped" really means it's over then why the hell we are still here trading and talking about crypto?

It's true Bitcoin is a bubble because Bitcoin can quickly soar in a short period of time. The reason why Bitcoin is increasingly interested in flood is because it is considered to have more profit, compared to conventional transactions. Bitcoin exchange rate from year to year continues to rise. In fact, currently, one bitcoin is equivalent to $9,000. Bitcoin is a promising investment ground. The more enthusiasts the more popular Bitcoin. I also hope that by the end of 2018 Bitcoin can penetrate $50,000.

The amount of gold in the world is only limited and limited, but bitcoin is more mathematically calculated and must follow the rules, and of course no one can change the math. Give that bitcoin a bubble. However, because of its hierarchical, mathematical, and transparency nature, calling it a bubble is not entirely accurate.

Nope. Here's why.
1. Cryptocurrency has only just begun to enter mainstream awareness never mind adoption. By the year 2000 when the dot-com burst was in full effect, over 43% of the United States population was using the Internet. In contrast, after roughly eight years Bitcoin is at best in its early adopters phase. It is estimated that only .046% of the target population of crypto users has adopted this technology. We are not at the peak of this cycle as mainstream media would like to suggest, rather we are just starting up the bitcoin adoption lifecycle.
2. The Internet was a collaboration of universities and government institutions. These institutions were well funded. Once the potential of the Internet began to be understood mass amount of investment from government, education, and private institutions followed. In stark contrast, there has been little to no investment by any of these entities in cryptocurrency. In great part Bitcoin and cryptocurrency has been supported by small individual investors who support the technology and/or want to make money. The day will come when mainstream investors and possibly even governments will make a big move into cryptocurrency. When this happens the market will explode higher.
3. Almost every government around the world has put roadblocks in front of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency development. This too is in stark contrast to the Internet where almost every government assisted their people and businesses gain Internet access. Bitcoin has had threats made against its existence since day one and countless times thereafter. The Internet never faced such a constant threat. In fact I believe it is a testament to the power of Bitcoin for having survived.
4. Bitcoin threatens banks and the entire financial system for that matter. The Internet promised ever greater profits for the banks through huge cost savings and investments. Bitcoin survived a direct assault from one of the greatest bankers in history, Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan - Bitcoin survived and Dimon backtracked. Think of the potential investment when banks and other financial institutions begin adopting blockchain technology - and this is already beginning.
5. The first ICO occurred in 2017. The ICO is an entirely new use for cryptocurrency. To say something that has not even been around for a year is in a bubble is difficult to understand. By the time the dot-com bubble burst in 1999/2000 almost all of the foundation technologies of the Internet had been established. Crypto wallets and payment systems are just beginning to become available to mainstream users and businesses around the world.

It can be yes, can be no. Yes it is a bubble but it is only 'like' a bubble. Not an ordinary bubble. bitcoin price can spiking and falling later. No, bitcoin can spiking indeed, but when bitcoin falling, the price won't go to zero, unlike other bubbles in general, they burst to zero.

Unfortunately, bitcoin has all the signs of a bubble. The price depends on people's beliefs, and the price may collapse if everyone starts exchanging money for dollars. Yes, it can be said about the dollar and gold, but the dollar and gold have value and stability!

I think Bitcoin is a bubble, The speed of extraction and emission of bitcoin is constant and does not depend on the total amount of computing power. If all but one old computer is disconnected from the network, it will produce bitcoins exactly as fast as the entire network for today.

By itself, bitcoin is not a bubble, as it was conceived for its use as a means of payment. However, when they began to buy and hold it as a store of value, hoping to profit from its growth in price, it began to grow uncontrollably in price and therefore behave like a financial bubble. Thus, people do it by themselves. Since the price of bitcoin is not very high now, it can not burst. While we can not. say where is the limit, beyond which it can inevitably burst. Apparently, this will depend on the specific circumstances. However, if bitcoin is used more as money, it will not grow so rapidly in price and be pumped up as a bubble.

The Bitcoin Bubble. Currency is a way for people to exchange value. By itself, the currency does not have a real value. It only carries the symbolic value that people want to put in it.

Thanks for reading I don't think there will be time nor space for the bitcoin bubble to burst now since there has been countless investors like the person above willing to make a difference in the community. I'm glad we still have powerhouse investors willing to go the extra mile for bitcoins.

No it is not bubble, that new is spread by bitcoins haters who do not have the courage to try bitcoins. Bitcoins is a useful innovative payment medium.
No I am not agree with your thinking as I think bitcoin is not a bubble as a lot of people are living in real life as rich from poor only because of bitcoin, bitcoin has become very high in price as it keep on moving all the time, bitcoin rise and fall very often but it never make us think that it is a bubble, bitcoin is an investment which increase in price with time and a lot of people are accepting the reality of bitcoin as best investment.

In fact, yes, however sad it is to admit it! Like any other pyramid or bubble, bitcoin exists as long as people believe in it, as soon as everyone wants to return their invested money, the price will drop dramatically!

For me yes its bitcoin is a bubble. Anytime bitcoin can be pop like a buble thats why we should be wise investing or use on it. Because nobody knows in the future. But many said bitcoin has great potential in the future so maybe bitcoin will not appear yet.

Remember that bubbles always arise around things that radically change our way of life. It happened with the railways and the Internet, and bitcoin will be the biggest of all bubbles. " The closest analogy with the bubble is the crypto currency - this is what was observed on the Internet companies market in the late 1990s.

I am agreed if the bitcoin is like a bubble phenomenon. However, not necessarily if the bubble will explode. The bubble may not explode because of the many improvements in the bitcoin regulation. But, it will explode if many of bitcoin owners are in droves using bitcoin without any control. In other hand, I am sure that the bitcoin will not explode in the near years. I believe that bitcoin will still exist more five years again.

Bitcoin has several signs of a classic financial bubble. Derek Thompson, a senior analyst at The Atlantic, says it's hard to call Bitcoin a financial bubble, as the crypto-currencies have become a very real financial industry. Nevertheless, the model of the crypto-currency market is similar to the model of those financial assets that burst like a bubble, recalling the bubble of so-called dotcoms.

I attended one seminar about this subject if bitcoin is a bubble. They even mentioned a story about the tulip bubble many years back. They mentioned in there that bitcoin is not a bubble as it was generated base on the power supply consumption and in the platform of blockchain. I personally believe that BTC will continue it's journey of up and downs until it reaches its real value.

Bitcoin is not a bubble because if bitcoin is bubble then it should already burst down and the price will just go down from a high price to a very low price in just a few moment but it ain't happen and that is why i believed that it is not bubble and i am not leaving the cryptocurrency world because of those false accusations.

There is no doubt that bitcoin may exist bubble, but now it has been amended for several months, and there is not much possibility of breaking up for the time being. I think bubbles will burst quickly when bitcoin rises to 50000$.

Thanks for reading bitcoin is a bubble specially when there are a lot of irrational buyers coming in and pumping the price to greater heights and then it will burst suddenly. However, it going to be a continues cycle, bubble has been burst, and then recovery began, another pump started pushing to another all-time-high. So that is the pattern. But its really hard to compare bitcoin to let's say the tulip mania, because it never did recover, even the dotcom bubble as well. Bitcoin on the other hand shows resiliency

If you think with a quote "Who knows" then there will be lots of possibilities. We may die tomorrow because of some natural calamity, who knows. On that note, Bitcoin is not a bubble. When people start understanding it and start using it as a currency then the price will automatically stabilize and it will be a popular currency,.

In most bubbles, many people, usually those who are long the bubbling asset, come up with all kinds of reasons why this time it’s different and this is NOT a bubble, but rather a movement Bitcoin to a new norm. And time and again they are proved wrong when the bubble deflates.

I like the idea that bitcoin is boiling thing, there are bubbles and they are popping from time to time, that's why we have all those ups and downs all the time. But in long perspective bitcoin will brush, cause of nothing last forever and one day Bitcoin will die, I do not know what is going to be the reason of its death, total ban or replacement by something new, but this is the fact that one day Bitcoin will be ended.

It depends , you cannot know what happens tomorrow, like this every investment in market not in crypto currency but other then crypto currency are risky. All your return daepends on your investment plan, if you make a wise plan of investment and invest in different coins long term as well as short term, then no need to worry about whether Bitcoin is bubble or not.

National currencies are a legal tender, through which they pay taxes or repay debts. No state allows and will hardly ever allow paying taxes in bitcoins, as this will undermine the so-called seigniorage - the income from the issue - and will reduce the control over monetary circulation.

I believe that the anonymity of bitcoin in practice is its weakness. States want to control financial flows, which is necessary to combat economic crime, tax evasion and terrorism, and they will not voluntarily give up these opportunities. Some countries have already adopted or are taking measures aimed at regulating the circulation of the crypto currency, which is most likely to cause a fall or even a collapse in the cost of bitcoin, although the exact moment of this collapse can not be predicted.

One good thing about Bitcoin is if we assume it is a bubble - bubbles are constantly forming and popping, it makes it hard to form a “super bubble”. If Bitcoin crashes 50 percent every two or three months, it clears out a lot of the leverage that causes huge problems if you let it go too long.

Though i don't believe that Bitcoin is indeed a bubble, I have rather seen some trends in it, And that is people invest heavily into bitcoins and then hold for a time and when the value reaches a new high, most tend to sell their bitcoins all at once which brings the value down and the whole thing starts again.

I’m not sure how you could even argue that Bitcoin isn’t exactly like the internet bubble. The internet bubble did burst, causing a lot of worthless stocks to lose practically all value. And even though all internet stocks did lose value in the short term, the top companies killed it in the long run. Look at Amazon and Google now! Both of them were hurt bad by the bubble in the short term, but have killed it since then. Internet companies that made it through that time period are enormous profit machines now.
The situation in cryptocurrency isn’t really any different at all. If you think there isn’t going to be a similar bubble bursting, look at what has happened in the last month... A lot of these overvalued shitcoins are eventually going to fail. But there will be some big winners too. Bitcoin is likely going to be a winner in the long term, so even though it will be cut in price big time by these kinds of major corrections, in the long term it should kill it just like Amazon and Google have.

Bitcoin is a bursting balloon. There are many signs of bitcoin similarities to the financial bubbles that have occurred in history. For those who have a good memory and economic understanding, bitcoin reminds them both of excitement and apprehension. It possesses enough signs of an economic bubble - bitcoin bubble.

The bubble analogy has some truth for cryptocurrencies - as it can well apply to initial coin offerings in the near future - but cryptocurrencies must be evaluated on their own.

In the end, this is an unexplored territory. We still do not know how to evaluate this currency and what will happen to it later. Historical examples can be taken and not taken into account. However, we know for sure that the technology of using the majority of crypto currencies allows new models of cost determination to pass through secure global electronic networks, and this in turn leads to unrest and nervousness of users.

Some people just buy and store bitcoin with the hope that the price of it will rise (the so-called big unreasonable investment). Undoubtedly, the restrictions in the total number (21 million) of bitcoins that can exist make this currency essentially deflationary - the value of the currency relative to goods and services will constantly grow even without speculation, and therefore it keeps people from spending them.

No bitcoin is definitely not the bubble. Look there will be only 25 million bitcoins total in this world. Bitcoin is the legendary coin which introduced blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies to this world. So Bitcoins will keep its prestige and value always even there will be more and more advanced coins competing with it. Having said that positive on bitcoins and hold as a precious asset of your lifetime.

bitcoin is not a bubble.. its an asset
bitcoins price IS currently in a bubble
take the real estate market. houses are an asset, but the prices can INFLATE real quick above a steady average. this sudden rise for no infrastructural reason is where the prices are in a bubble. and when it bursts it drops to a lower more realistic level
real estate has had its bubbles, as have many assets. bubbles dont mean the asset is not real. bubbles mean the price is currently very inflated due to alot of hot air(speculation)
That's why i invested in real estate via blockchain. Double bubble, double price

You just increased the total supply of bitcoins by 19%.... because Bitcoin Supply is limited to ₿21,000,000 (21 million) not 25 million.

Bitcoin is no bubble but the banks are the biggest bubble on this planet.
If it was a bubble like most banks claimed, i believe that it would have burst by now , but it's still thriving despite the numerous setbacks that it has received.

bitcoin is not a bubble.. its an asset
bitcoins price IS currently in a bubble
take the real estate market. houses are an asset, but the prices can INFLATE real quick above a steady average. this sudden rise for no infrastructural reason is where the prices are in a bubble. and when it bursts it drops to a lower more realistic level
real estate has had its bubbles, as have many assets. bubbles dont mean the asset is not real. bubbles mean the price is currently very inflated due to alot of hot air(speculation)
That's why i invested in real estate via blockchain. Double bubble, double price Real.markets, ccn, genesisfound. Is it something from this list? I've marked these three as not bad projects. CCN is a clownery, i've chosen genesis. I like it more than any ICO in real estate sphere. Have you seen their wp?

In my opinion, bitcoin has signs of a bubble, but it's not a bubble. Bitcoin has many advantages, this is a strong technology that has a great future. The whole problem is that they love to see in bitcoin only a means of earning, but not technology.

No bubble will destroy bitcoin, we’ve been there already. Now, if there is a bubble it means we weren’t able to control our greed for quick profits and allowed for enormous over-valued silly projects to emerge. Our immense greed and money lust is. If you fear the market will collapse think of the Internet bubble. The only good thing is that with any failure comes an important lessonMy only conclusion is that Bitcoin is the new digital internet money. No one was ever able to stop P2P file-sharing; do you really expect cryptocurrency will be any different? If there’s a 51% attack, the network simply forks. Or you switch to a different cryptocurrency.
I mean, do you really want to kill Bitcoin?
Try shutting down the internet.
Bitcoin isn’t the bubble. But, we are..

I agree that this is a "bubble", but when it bursts or it bursts, it is unknown to anyone. I personally think that the future is bitcoin.

I don't think the BTC is a bubble. However, I know the crypto market is priced and the sharks are very coordinated. Most of the information is generated by the Shark.

Personally, I think bitcoin is a bubble. It can be pop like a buble anytime; hence, we should be wise and careful when investing on it. Many people say that its future is very promising but who knows what will happen.

I think bitcoin is a bubble that can explode at some point. After that I think the bitcoin value will indeed go down but slowly it will get back up and stable.

A "bubble" can only be determined if something has reached fair market value and there is average price indicator to measure against. If you believe demand for Bitcoin will increase in the future then the bubble Bitcoin is in is in fact an inverse bubble, its grossly under-priced.

Yes bitcoin is a bubble. As it did in 2017, after bitcoin was at its highest and then bitcoin declined drastically. The bubble has broken. But until now the bitcoin is not dead, there is a decline in value but the bitcoin slowly improves. And there's still a chance the bubbles will break again.

Nope, if you do think like what you said, you're not truely a Bitcoin-er and you didn't do your learning and researching well in this forum because we all talk carefully about this subject and Bitcoin definitely not a bubble.

Bitcoin is a bubble that is not stable but the chances of being burst is how much I don't know. Every month the price is dropping then rise again. As the market is the same so bitcoin not going to extinct so easily. So those are afraid to invest thinking that bitcoin going to burst, I think this is not going to happen at all.

He was right thinking, the price from $20,000 down to the deepest $6,000. It's not a bubble? I don't admit at first but now it does not matter because the bitcoin is still coming back and more stable.

I think bitcoin will share same destiny with popular technoological devices. It will be pulled into a bubble (its not bubble currently) it will burst too. But it will never die, it will always have base value cause of innovation.

Bitcoin is an asset and sustainable development in the future. I believe Crypto will explode next year and all the altcoin we hold will increase in value. The price of bitcoin is volatile but will stabilize in the future.

It is not just bitcoin, every other crypto currency is a bubble and if we do critical analysis of other markets, they all are bubbles up to some extent. Bitcoin is supposed to increase in value soon and I believe that it is going to lead the world of digital currencies forever. The support bitcoin is gaining from the world is not enjoyed by any other crypto currency yet. It is growing at fastest pace simpered to others.

The bubble analogy has some truth in basis for cryptocurrencies - as it can well apply to coin offerings in the near future - but cryptocurrencies must be evaluated on their own.

The fact that you and many others are asking if Bitcoin is a bubble is an indication that it's not a bubble. An en economic bubble is usually coupled with near universal belief about rising prices. There are still only a very limited number of people who even know what Bitcoin is, let alone buying it or believing it will keep rising.

True but altcoins are arguably an even bigger bubble. Consider all the junk projects out there and the ton of money invested in scam icos

Thanks for reading Do and spread whatever news, I'll never leave bitcoin even if i get a job i will never lift my heart from it. Its a new and safe source of income and i heard most of people left their job just to earn with crypto currency.

BitCoin is not a balloon. If it was a balloon, it could not have come up again. He was stuck repeatedly. but it rose again. there are very big bitcoin rich. I'm talking about a size big enough to give direction to the market. This hard landing and departure will always be because bitcoin is not fairly user-friendly. but that does not mean that bitcoin is a balloon.

Well look at it as a balloon that pops and then gets inflated time and time again. It's always been said thatthat bitcoin would pop soon and I think it already did. Several times in the past actually. But people who believe in it will make sure that that bubble gets revived all the time

Bitcoin is a bubble it will burst anytime when price will increase more.

I do not understand people who call Bitcoin a bubble, especially I do not understand those who claim that it will soon burst. Bitcoin, is Bitcoin, digital gold. But if you want me to appeal the concept of a bubble, I would say that it is a bubble that has a huge safety margin and will sooner burst the one who came up with such a concept than Bitcoin himself. No, Bitcoin, it's not a bubble, it's a new generation of the most promising asset of all time. Bitcoin can not burst, - it can only be deflated, but its nature is such that it is inflated more then again the previous time.

According to the traditional definition of bubble, it very well is. But should we go by the traditional definition because it was right in defining the 2-3 assets. Bitcoin might not have an intrinsic value, but so does fiat. BTC has deflationary model and demand. This could sustain its price. So, I won't say BTC really is in any bubble.

I think this bitcoin price condition is not like a bubble if you say it is like a bubble so it is not suitable, this bitcoin price integration has movement characteristics that resemble waves, waves sometimes recede and sometimes rise and that is the same as bitcoin price movements that sometimes rise and fall.

Bitcoin, especially in such its current state, can not cost even 7000 dollars. This is clearly a bubble, but it should still decently rise in its price several times and then fall due to the panic that has arisen until it is established at the level of other crypto-currencies.

Many people think that bitcoin is bubble because of the current situation and to somehow they are right to think in such a way because they have invested for earning more and more money but they have stuck and now they are not finding a way what to do. If they sell their holding they will lose their money if they hold their money will be stuck in the market.

Personally I do not believe that bitcoin is a bubble, because it is a real fact that its technology is sufficiently strong, reliable and stable to efficiently carry out the processes for which it was created, and I am convinced that it still has the potential to meet the high expectations that its developers and users have regarding the future of bitcoin.
However, perhaps bitcoin as an investment instrument is generating many doubts among those who thought to get rich easily with bitcoin, and this is understandable because in reality bitcoin was never conceived to fulfill that expectation, because the same speculators have been the ones who were in charge of making bitcoin a hostage of the market.
