Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few?

If indeed you already knowing the right coins you know well, just select some that do have a definite and reliable price growth, rather than picking a lot of coins.. but that's just coins which will not be promising to a profits.
But I think .. it depends on what we know more about a certain coins, picking a lot of coins with careless, it's just useless.

i think its better just to keep atleast 5 major coins that you heavily invest on then
you can either put $100 usd to each coin that you trust

before i had so many altcoins and now i am thinking of lessening it because
it also takes a toll in my portfolio because not every coin will succeed

I really don't know because trading is unpredictable.  Nobody can tell exactly the next stage of bitcoin or altcoin. What we do now is basically comes from the latest or the previous happening in bitcoin history. What we have is only a prediction and it could be right or wrong.

For me yes it is better to have a lot of altcoins but those altcoins that are successful and have a potential to grow in the market as bigger as bitcoins as possible. Because that can serves as an alternative investment in the future like Ethereum if bitcoins are falling and ethereum is not then you have a back up plan but bitcoins will still be the biggest but it is much better to not stick into one platform .

I think some Altcoins better instead of holding lots . Because before investing you have to do enough research about the solution provided by token or coins . Potentiality of coins for long term or short term . Next major announcement there is lots of factors involved . You have to always track news about coins . To get best selling price.

High quality altcoins are good. Some ICOs are also good for long term investment too. I prefer to have minimal number of altcoins as monitoring is hard since the prices changes per seconds.

Choosing too much Altcoin to invest makes you risky because not all Altcoin has a community and can grow. Choose between five and ten choices, which is a good way to reduce risk and make more money.

There are 1555 of them listed in the coinmarket cap website excluding bitcoin. For me it is better to have a few like 5 or 10 because I could still managed them all at the same time. And I think I cannot manage more than ten, I even stumble when trading 5 coins at a time. However if you are planning just to keep it and not use it the drawback could be price volatility. Due to numerous holdings you may overlook some coins that are loosing value and you may also overlook and not able to sell coins which reach its peak value.

For me holding a lot of different altcoins can get more profit.  But it depends to the coin that you hold if it's potential coin or not.
By making a some of research visiting to ann thread,  and social media you can get some information that you can use it to decide what coin you buy.  Many traders earn a lot of profit because they have a lot of altcoins in their wallet.

Most altcoins have no value and will not have the chance to increase their value. I personally prefer to have in my portfolio up to three or four coins that have the potential.

For me it's bettet to have many coins, more coins more profit and the coins have different values. But it depends on you if you can handle it all.

based on what I experienced, there are only 2 to 4 coins giving me the advantage, it does not matter saving a lot of coins, but you should see the prospect of the coin in the deepest time before saving or investing in the coins..
