And I am wondering if more people mine with their browser on freebitco, will it increase the average payout. Because the more miners, the more chances to find a block. And finally why antivirus are reported coinhive site as infected. Can we blindly trust freebitco for mining?

Also, does anyone have any ballpark stats on how many sats you could expect to earn per million hashes solved? Obviously, this won't be an exact science because of all the variables, but I'm looking for what your experiences have been so far as far as earning per/hash goes. If the reporting changes I highlighted above were implemented, it would be easier to determine what the earnings per million hash rate is.
I did do some figures when they first implemented it but I threw away the Postit note I scrawled them on. It will change all the time with XMR exchange rate anyway. But the way I did it was to, after not mining overnight, make a note of the total mining income number and then run it for 1 hour. Then after stopping it, you need to wait at least 5 minutes for the next BTC credit to appear then just divide the increase in income by how many hashed you did in an hour. And I am wondering if more people mine with their browser on freebitco, will it increase the average payout. Because the more miners, the more chances to find a block. Antivirus has always given a positive indication on all mining software, that's because it could be planted on your device without your knowledge to steal your processing power and electricity. If you intentionally want to mine it's safe to add it to your antivirus ignore list.

A question about mining, does anyone know how many sats we get per, say, 10,000 hashes? Thanks.
I tested exactly this yesterday and 10 000 hashes resulted in 4 satoshis. But note that as others have stated, the payment amount for mining depends on a lot of factors, the main ones being the price of Bitcoin and the price of Monero (this is the coin you are mining). Generally, you will receive more satoshis for mining if the price of Monero increases relative to Bitcoin and vice versa. Thank you for running the test. I just wanted an average figure since given that there are many factors to take into account for the actual rate.

I also used mining option. I think it's reward is more than other similar sites. But there is a problem that most of the time when I keep my computer on and going away and returning I see that mostly mining option is open but my total mining not changed. I think it stops automatically every time. If this problem will be solved I will be glad to use mining option again. By the way thanks for such a great site

Thanks, I plan to try and get some ballpark data on it, but I'll have to shut down the browser miners and wait for stats to sync for awhile, and that's not something I want to do right now. I've got several running and might as well wait until a prime stopping point when I can shut them all down together and then let the stats sync up. Then I'll get data points from a couple concurrent browser miners at the same time that will have different hash rates.

Looking forward to seeing this if you get it to work, I've been running mining a lot but have wondered how it compares.

I wonder how difficult can it be for the team to implement a visual captcha like this. People are already moving away from faucets and if the reason is captcha, then that's something that should not happen.

Google is always giving trouble, logged in or incognito. Maybe owners hear peoples wishes...

Not really a problem with this site, but Google's recaptcha 2's been getting noticeably worse. Which is more than a bit unfortunate with how popular it is.

the best solution is the possibility of choice: recaptcha or solvemedia.

You should understand that bots are not good for users too.

How can you guys be so certain that visual captchas like above are not good anti-bot captchas. I am seeing more and more sites using them now.

I'd probably start off by googling "captcha solver" and seeing how many ways there are readily available to get around them. It's a constant battle, every time they make a new captcha program or update an existing one then someone will try and make money providing a solving service. Ones like that picture above have been available for a long time so are bound to be ineffective in stopping bots.

Has mining been taken off the site? I no longer see a yellow notification bar for it, is it just me?
