I also saw that. It makes me wonder if they get paid more for that.
No, freebitco.in is using google re-captcha and that doesn't pay at all AFAIK.It's because they want you to keep going there and making them money with the captcha its also more tempting to play when you have that much in your account or maybe they use that bitcoin in your account to invest.
Again re-captcha doesn't pay. What they do with users balances, that is already explained in detail in their site "EARN BTC" section. If a user has minimum 30k sats then he/she receives (compounded daily) 4.08% annual interest. It uses Solve Media too which can display "TYPE-IN™ ads" captcha that pays the publisher, although I haven't seen this specific type of captcha being used on freebitco.in

Is it price per lottery minimum one Satoshi even though price go very high from current level?
Price of one lottery ticket stays the same, it doesn't moves up or down. But earlier used to pay 2 satoshi or 3 satoshi per lottery right? That is correct. Like all the prizes on Freebitco.in, the cost of lottery tickets is linked to the BTCUSD exchange rate. I wonder if Wetsuit plans to start using fractional satoshis if the price keeps going up? Really, i wasn't aware of that. from the time i've been into lottery price stayed the same(0.00000001 BTC), so, i thought only faucet is affected by BTC price changes, guess i'm wrong. It used to change but after reaching price to 0.00000001 BTC then no changes. It looks like their system is adjusted to the minimum amount 0.00000001 BTC after that if BTC prices go high then it will not adjust the price based on BTCUSD exchange rate. But it good if their support team provide a clarification on this because couldn't find details on their site. If BTC price goes high mean each lottery ticket also go high now.

When Wetsuit used to update these threads I remember him answering this one hypothetically in the sense nobody thought BTC would hit $7,500 anytime soon. He said that the price would remain fixed at 1 sat if the price ever went above. Maybe if it goes way higher they might reconsider that, say if we got $15,000 making 2 tickets for 1 sat or something.

Yes, you can find it on "Free BTC" tab where it says "Use your browser to passively mine and earn bitcoins! Click here to read more." Beware though, you won't make any significant money with it as it is mostly a waste of resources.

If you don't pay the energy bill for the device(s) you use to mine, you can get a few extra satoshi depending on your CPU power. If you pay the bill, then don't use this feature, you'll pay more than what you'll earn.

I was thinking but after some discussion with few miner friends now drop this idea as its not going to help me just going to hurt because I already paying too much in name of this electricity its very costly in our country just members with free electricity can enjoy this feature on this forum

It's a nice feature though, if I had little kids I'd show it to them and I'm sure they'd be happy. But my kids are grown up and they can make more using the same energy and during the same period of time. I have to solve a pretty hard captcha lately to make a free roll. Will it last long?

Even if you don't pay your electricity bill using this mining feature on your personal laptops not advisable because it may slowly affect your computer performance over the time and whatever you earn from this mining may not sufficient replace with new one or repair your computer. Just find some other means to increase your bitcoin earnings.

It's almost a year since I joined freebitco.in and for a very long time I stopped withdrawing cause they were giving good interest, but now it's getting annoying I had posted here how I had to solve two captcha, at first I thought was be one off error, but now it's a daily headache, as if one wasn't enough you have two captcha. This is so annoying, I am deciding to withdraw from this site, solving two captcha is simply irritating and time wasting. Why aren't they fixing this.

This is completely untrue and a myth that has been repeated and rebutted countless times already in this thread. Mining will not a harm a CPU, if you think I am wrong please supply a citation of any provable instance of this happening. Also even if you do pay the electricity bill if you have a modern desktop PC that is already switched on then unless you have very expensive electricity it will be profitable. It is only a few extra satoshis in your freebitco.in account, but that is what it is there for.

So, can any of you put links to support your views? This is for two questions: 1) Will mining harm your CPU? 2) If you already have your computer on for doing other tasks, is mining profitable?

That's because I'm not the one making a claim that something will happen. It's not feasible to give citations of people that have had no occurrence of an instance because if it didn't happen there is nothing to report. If however, something does happen reports of that occurrence will be published. So in this instance, if mining had caused any harm there would be countless people screaming about it, but as it hasn't, there is nothing. If you are the one making an assertion then you are the one responsible for showing it to be true. Edit. Missed your second point. If you find the dedicated thread on mining at freebitco.in I did some testing and calculations that I posted there. It was breakeven with a 4-year old i5 so anything newer would be profitable even with expensive UK electricity.

If you add some more funds to freebitco.in, than you don't need to solve any captchas! You need to deposit twice the amount of your free roll winnings to have no captcha.

If you find the dedicated thread on mining at freebitco.in I did some testing and calculations that I posted there. It was breakeven with a 4-year old i5 so anything newer would be profitable even with expensive UK electricity. Ok, thanks for your reply. I have found the thread you were talking about and your calculations: ... ... I just did the maths on my old i5-3750K.
Set at 20% in the background for the last 4 hours averaged 20.85 sat/hr based on 10c KW/hr electricity and $4000 BTC. I measured an 8.5w increase in CPU power so that's $0.00085 to make $0.000834 of BTC. So just about break-even at the moment, could be worth it if BTC goes up or they increase the rewards like they say.
Now the price has almost doubled so we can guess it’s more profitable. Therefore, the burden of proof is on those who claim the opposite.

My balance in Freebitco.in is 0.00000027 BTC and I always get one captcha.
Maybe you guys are getting two captchas due to inappropriate activity. I mean, maybe, you guys are using any bot/script or maybe your ip address is marked for inappropriate activity (if you are using any vps/vpn/proxy)
I am not 100% sure about this, just telling that it could be the reason. Maybe an expert can evaluate my claim.
No offence! Thank you!
