Are you guys aware of continous authorization email from Freebitco.in? I received first on November 4, then November 11 then today at November 15 (GMT +8).

How come those people who attempt to do logins knows our email and passwords?
I've not received such authorization emails(at least not yet). your email/password must've been guessed/leaked from another site(if you used same email/pass). did you change your pass after seeing first auth email?(heh just trying to figure it out).

I didn't either !

You haven't change your password then it is better to change it now. Maybe you might have used same user ID and pass in some other shady websites and those people may be trying their luck using those details. That's why you shouldn't use your existing user id and pass in any new websites instead use a unique password on those sites.

I received the same email and I got it earlier than you, my first email was on Oct 14th then Oct 31 and the same dates with yours for this month. I do not really care about it because I'm only using this site as faucet so I ignore the email. It is poor attempt to steal zero balance account imho Smiley
But if you often use this site and often have some balance so its better to set 2fa as suggested on the email.

those of you getting authorization email, are you getting it after you trying to login?
get locked and get notification in red:   Please check your email inbox for a link to authorize your login request
if this is what you guys getting then it's normal.
it's a security feature that gets triggered when you logging in from completely different IP.
it's tolerant on dynamic IPs with different endings, but get triggered otherwise

I have not got any such mails ever, from them, I think this could be a phishing mail, I would avoid even opening such mails, they are never good, rather go to the site and let a mail come when they don't accept log in, I encountered this problem today, I was asked to do two captcha at a time to claim, imagine, it's already bad and I need to do two captcha then it validates, any one else faced this kind of issue?

Better avoid these all emails as these are phishing and not related to this site because they never announces any service like this any one can lost any thing after clicking link with these emails second admin need to check how these addresses going out and who is involve in this theft of email addresses

Are you sure that it is just a phishing attempt? I just checked my old email and I received the same authorization email from noreply@freebitco.in which is the same email address that sent me a welcome message when I was registered on this site. Need to wait a confirmation from wetsuit about this problem.

They don't. They just know your email, probably from a number of sources including referral sites if you use them to promote this site. Doubt they actually have access to user emails or I'd have received a similar email from them. Another possibility is that you logged in from another device and the form saved yr email? Better change yr pass now.

No service in the world would ever ask you for authorization without your prior knowledge. And certainly, none would ever ask you to login via links.

Crypto involvement has given me a lot of new spam to contend with, expect the same for yourself =)

Can you post a screen capture of that email on the forum? You can blank out your personal information. I am almost 50%

sure this is a phishing attempt, because I have been using this site for years and I have never received these emails. I think

hackers are trying to catch the bigger fish, because some people have a huge referral network and constantly have BTC

coming in. Some even use this site as a investment, because they offer people interest on their BTC.  Cheesy

I am getting lots of login authorization email from freebitco.in, quite confused from where my password got leaked. I haven't used that same password in more than 4-5 sites. I am now understanding the real use of email authorization and 2fa  Grin

I haven't stored any bitcoins there so not worried about this but thanks for having email authorization feature on faucet.

For the moment I don't receive such emails, but some others have already stated that they also receive that kind of emails. Hopefully wetsuit comes by to answer this issue and to solve it.
I don't have much BTC stored in freebitco.in, but maybe I should also think about using 2fa authenfication.

The same for me , it says " Recently you tried to login to your FreeBitco.in account from a connection that is different from your previous connection so you need to authorize this request by clicking the link below" (knowing that I usually use one device to login to my account)  , I received such email twice/3 times per week , hope it wouldn't be a real problem

That is correct. Like all the prizes on Freebitco.in, the cost of lottery tickets is linked to the BTCUSD exchange rate. I wonder if Wetsuit plans to start using fractional satoshis if the price keeps going up?

Is it price per lottery minimum one Satoshi even though price go very high from current level?
Price of one lottery ticket stays the same, it doesn't moves up or down. Smiley

But earlier used to pay 2 satoshi or 3 satoshi per lottery right?

That is correct. Like all the prizes on Freebitco.in, the cost of lottery tickets is linked to the BTCUSD exchange rate. I wonder if Wetsuit plans to start using fractional satoshis if the price keeps going up?

Really, i wasn't aware of that. from the time i've been into lottery price stayed the same(0.00000001 BTC), so, i thought only faucet is affected by BTC price changes, guess i'm wrong.

It used to change but after reaching price to 0.00000001 BTC then no changes.
