Well, I am definitely not quitting my day job, waiting to win anything with this Lottery. I have been playing since the first

Lottery was launched and I have not won 1 cent. I have spend 0.04037798 BTC trying --> http://prntscr.com/j6yu83

How much have you guys been dumping into this and how much have you won? { $323.1 at todays BTC price }

That's a lot, man. I've spent only 0.00008687BTC on the lottery tickets so far, because I disabled the lottery on free rolls to receive more reward points instead of lottery tickets long time ago. I just buy 300-500 tickets occasionally, like this time for example, to try my luck.

I spent only 100 Satoshi so far trying to get my reward back up to the regular value, but that seems to be too less.

I once calculated that it would take approximatly 2000 years in average to win the lottery once with only tickets from free rolls, so I already settled with not winning this lottery ever.
Anyway I'm hoping for a 10,000 free roll because thats much more probable although my higest roll was 9,991 so far so I have'nt even won one of the 3 highest winning classes, but with approximatly 1,600 free rolls this is about average.

I rolled over 9993 and won $2 worth of BTC two times in my life. First time on my old account with over 10k free rolls which I lost access to more than a year ago. And second time on my current account with 2,092 free rolls played.

~
The best thing about the free roll is that you are always guaranteed to win something whether it is the minimum $0.001 or all the way up to $200 it didn't cost anything to play.

It's $0.002 actually. Smiley I'm pretty sure you know this yourself, I just wanted to emphasize for others that the minimum award is two times bigger. Smiley

It kinda isn't anymore. Although we still refer to $0.002 as the base reward and the $0.001 as the halved reward I was sure if I had said $0.002 someone would jump in and object on the grounds they were only getting half that.

Nah, you got to spend the free coins you get on something and I added some of my own money to experiment, but that also amounted to losses. The reward point requirements for the stuff you receive is much too high, I did the calculations and it will take me forever to receive the lowest reward. {Example : 333,333 RP for a $25 eGifter Gift card = 20,000 days @ 16 RP per day, if you do the Free Roll 8 times a Day}  Roll Eyes

Not worth it for $25.  Grin Grin Grin

I don't think it matters in this subject. Don't think anyone cares about if its 0.002 or 0.001, the more important part that this website has been giving away free money since for as long as I can remember and they have been giving free lottery tickets with it as well. I mean we have seen so many faucets faze out in time and here it is freebitco.in keeping it up and improving waaay over a faucet. They have the free coins part, they have referral part they have interest part they have lottery and of course the betting. I mean what more one can ask for from them? Great job.

Oh, I see, my bad, sorry for that. I was talking about my minimum reward forgetting that it was halved for the new users to avoid abusing of the faucet.

Meanwhile I've bought another 200 lottery tickets and now, with 600 tickets in total, I have 0.00229138% win chance. Smiley I know my chances are slim, but still hope to win some. )

I have seen people win big rewards without an effort! there is no logical explanation for luck...

LOTTERY ROUND 150
This round, the winner with the lowest number of tickets is #1 with 246 tickets.
He won 1.92400046 BTC.
Woah!

Congratulation with that lucky guy. I cant imagine hitting up 1.9 btc jackpot can get through with just 246 tickets. Imagine? Shocked Have seen some cost millions or hundreds thousand of tickets but still can able to get that honey pot. What a nasty prize and what a lucky player.

Congrats to the winner! This is an unimaginable luck to win 1.9 BTC with just 246 tickets. It would be nice if he/she appeared here sharing their story, but I understand that not all people know English good enough for that and also maybe not everyone wants to brag about their winnings. Anyway, I've just purchased 300 tickets for the next round. Let's see what happens. Smiley

positive thinking Betwrong Smiley I have to check my mail more often, maybe it was me with 246 tickets... wait wasn't me,damn Smiley
but this kind of luck is what make others want to try and participate in this lottery
it doesn't cost much also you can enter captcha for free and get free tickets
almost 2 bitcoins can be lifechanging for some people, very happy for the lucky dude (or dudette)!

Yes, veleten, as they say, hope is a hard habit to break. Smiley I have bought some more tickets for myself, and now with my 400 tickets I have 0.00241452% win chance. I know it's 4 days left and my win chance will be decreasing with time, but I'm keeping my hopes up nevertheless. Let see what happens in the lottery round 151. I wouldn't mind to take the 4th or 5th place too. Smiley
Good luck to all the participants!

By spending up some btc to try your luck is not really bad thing, since small amount of money still will boost your winning chance here. But to think that 400 tickets will hit something good on the prize, I do not really believe that. I tried this around 4 years ago and yet I never hit on their lottery. I ever dis to put some amount there like 0.001-0.01 btc but yet nothing happen too. So for this time I will stay this way, claim the faucet and buy something with it

I wouldn't encourage anyone to buy more tickets for a lottery to increase their chances to win. Since the total amount of tickets is huge,  640,472,661 in the last round for example, you have to spend big money, 3.2 BTC in the latter case, in order to have 50% chance to win the biggest prize, 1.92400046 BTC. Of course there is a possibility to win 2 or 3 prizes with 320,000,000 tickets, but even in that case you will hardly recover your investment.

Meanwhile I've bought more tickets for the next round, and now my win chance with 720 tickets is 0.00229106%. Smiley

Actually you can only win one price in the lottery.
In the description it says:
Quote
If a user wins more than 1 prize, the number is discarded and [WINNING POSITION] is increased by 1 and the calculations are run again to pick a new user. This is to ensure that a user cannot win more than 1 prize in a round.

But you are right. In the lottery you will most likely loose, so I would consider every spending on lottery tickets a loss.

The point about lotteries is not that you will lose, the point is that the expected return is negative. If you spend $1 on a lottery tickets, the expected mathematical return is always less than $1 (I'm leaving aside EV+ lotteries, like the one Crypto-Games used to run). The good side, however, is that you have the chance to get a very big price risking a very small amount.

If luck permits you then you will win a huge amount using that small capital, that's how lottery attracted more gamblers, because of the believe
that if lucky day hit them then the winning ticket will bring the cash, purchasing more ticket gives you some good chances to win but if you
trace back the figure its still can't assure you to win, still the same fate will happen only lucky holders will win the draw.

What is the chance of one of the owners doing a AMA about Freebitco.in on Reddit or on this forum? They can obviously

answer only the questions that they feel comfortable with, but it would be nice to know something more about these people

who has done so much for this Bitcoin community. {Example : What motivated you to start a faucet / What was the most

money that you paid out with FREE ROLLS in a day or month... etc. / Will the faucet side fade away over time to make way

for more gambling... etc.}  Huh

You must have good luck. Few lucky. Therefore, if you are not lucky, do not take risks.

That's a very interesting theory. But please tell me how you will find out if you are lucky or not if you never take a risk?

Maybe you should take risks especially when you are not lucky, because your luck quata is not used up then.
But if your always lucky, you might not have enough luck left to win. XD

What is the chance of one of the owners doing a AMA about Freebitco.in on Reddit or on this forum? They can obviously

answer only the questions that they feel comfortable with, but it would be nice to know something more about these people

who has done so much for this Bitcoin community. {Example : What motivated you to start a faucet / What was the most

money that you paid out with FREE ROLLS in a day or month... etc. / Will the faucet side fade away over time to make way

for more gambling... etc.}  Huh

This is a great idea! Only I would suggest to gather the questions beforehand, like one week prior to the AMA, in order for more people would have the chance to participate.

Btw I 'm not sure about whether the site is still owned by the same people who created it. If the site was acquired then it would be interesting  to ask some questions to the original creators too. For example, what are they doing now?

It is still owned and operated by the person that created it. You can go back to the OP of this thread to see who that is.

Feel free to ask any questions you like. He still does read these threads it is just that he doesn't have time to do it regularly.
