Ok, So I presume that the owner is Male? <because you used the word, He> I have to confess I haven't asked that but it is usually my default assumption on the internet that everyone is either a dude or a dude pretending to be a chick. /jk Let's fire away and see if he would want to respond to some of the questions. I will not ask anything that will compromise his real identity. 1. Is the Faucet a huge profit drain on the whole operation after advertisements were stopped? {rough percentages?} 2. What is the biggest expense for the site? {Faucet pay-out or referrals or hosting fees and Admin cost?} 3. Do you have redundancy? {Backup plans if something goes wrong?} 4. How difficult is it to stop the bots? {I know from experience that they are a pain in the ass.} 5. What percentage of new users stay active? {My referral drop-off is about 100% in only 1 or 2 months} That is all for now, he can pick what is too private or inconvenient to answer, but I steered away from being to personal. I will pass those questions on but wetsuit isn't about much at the moment so it could be a while before I get any answers. I also wouldn't expect too much information on the financial side of things as that's understandably confidential. There is a bit of information you can see on the stats page. The chart "BITCOINS WON IN THE LAST 10 DAYS" shows gross winnings including free-rolls. The chart "WAGERED IN THE LAST 10 DAYS" shows how much was bet so statistically, you could assume with a 5% house edge that would make 5% of that figure the gross income. As well as the faucet that also has to fund the lottery as most tickets we give away, then the reward points, referral payments and then hosting etc. I can answer #4. It's impossible to actually detect them anymore as they have become so sophisticated they look more like humans than actual humans do now. That's why we ended up having to lower the rewards. The botnets buy captcha solves and if we pay more than the price they pay then there's a profit to be made by them. #5 Speaking personally I've got 517 referrals and about 25 of them have been active a very long time. I think there's just a lot of luck involved there.

Okay - Just an update on my Reward Points redemption . I got my egifter.com coupon which I test-redeemed ( to my mail ID) . So it works .. My only grouch is that it came after almost 3 weeks after I redeemed. ( I understand ( hear) that the admin at freebitco.in is super busy ) Thanks 'TheQuin' for being patient on my nagging request . My trust quotient went up one notch. Okay cool. I had redeemed 333,333 RP almost 10 days back and have also raised 2 'tickets' ( in the faq page ). Am just wondering if that is just lost in the haystack of mails.
We do get thousands of messages through the FAQ page every day so it is possible that it got missed. PM me your user ID and I'll ask wetsuit to check it out for you. But this redeem of reward point already been so long since the first time I knew it someone already claim about the shipping and his items but there is no real proof about it. Either the claimer did not even prove to us that he already got the item yet or not. So I hope for this time that anyone can clear this thing for me, cause I do want to redeem it too, if not I will buy something else with it

The processing of the redemptions is done manually and quite a lot of work. Normally we are able to do it weekly but this was just a case of bad timing.

~ I wouldn't encourage anyone to buy more tickets for a lottery to increase their chances to win. Since the total amount of tickets is huge, 640,472,661 in the last round for example, you have to spend big money, 3.2 BTC in the latter case, in order to have 50% chance to win the biggest prize, 1.92400046 BTC. Of course there is a possibility to win 2 or 3 prizes with 320,000,000 tickets, but even in that case you will hardly recover your investment. Meanwhile I've bought more tickets for the next round, and now my win chance with 720 tickets is 0.00229106%. If you calculate it that way may be it is a right thing but do you consider that not all players are buying the tickets? They can get it for free, like by gambling or even taking from the faucet so not every single tickets are bought so I think you really missed the point here. ~ I don't see how the fact that not all players are buying the tickets can be relevant to the estimation of winning chance. Maybe I really missed the point here, so please explain what did you mean. I think I already said that they can even get their tickets from gambling and claiming faucet so 600millions tickets does not refer to everyone that bought but ot shows that how much the tickets been distributed to everyone that holding itself. And btw do you even saw that 400 tickets able to win that prize? ~
Yes I did. Last time it happened not so long ago, in the previous lottery round: two people with less than 400 tickets each, won two prizes, 1.92400046 BTC and 0.03006251 BTC. And something like this happens every month or even more often. For example 10 rounds ago, in the round 140, someone won 0.52907709 BTC with 39 tickets. You can check it all by yourself by clicking LOTTERY in the top bar of the front page and then PREVIOUS ROUND WINNERS. So if you saw this then everything is possible right here, you just need some luck to make sure that you will hit the 1st prize, there will be no doubt it is provably fair because they already renew their provably fair system

The stats shows REGISTERED USERS =13,435,106 but 90%+ of those users are probably inactive. The owner should think of something to retain those users. Some kind of incentive scheme {The more active you are, the higher your FREE ROLL pay-outs?}

That's what the reward points scheme was introduced for. I don't think those figures are particularly out of line with any other gambling site or faucets for that matter. Certainly from my experience of getting referrals on other gambling sites I have a far better retention rate here.

Okay - Just an update on my Reward Points redemption . My trust quotient went up one notch. I gave you merit for following up your previous post with useful info. Good to hear it works out eventually. Im probably listed as one of the inactives most of the time. I would use the site more if the mining feature worked out more profitably. Perhaps this isnt possible and its a limit of what code is possible within the webpage, I thought it could be higher returns though.

I have tried the browser mining option when it was released as an experimental effort long time back ( just out of curiosity). But since it uses the CPU ( and not the GPU - even if you had one ), it will definitely be not worth the power / time . ( IMHO) If you are using chrome, Shift + Esc will show you what component in your browser is using up your CPU - and if you are mining using the browser, it will show that its eating up most of your resources.

I once calculated it for a friend. He let the mining run for about 10 hours and the revenue he got was at this time worth less than what the power costed that his PC needed to run for the 10 hours. I'm using freebitco.in because even though the halfed minimum claim reward seems dramatic, it only changed the average claim amount to a very small extend. Before, the average claim reward was ~0.017$ and now it is ~0.016$. I actually doubt that bot users will stop botting the side because of this, but well.

Anyway faucet and mining will never give high return unless you make a big mine of it. But the point here, by having this much really cost you just a little bit amount and of course it is not worth but at least itnis free. If you have time you can do both of this thing of course. But if you compare current price with one year or two years ago of course it does not doing good. But I am sure one I can win those jackpot for sure for free but never know when it will be

Hi,
This is my first post in here. I’d like to ask how come when I redeem the 100 reward points / roll bonus at 1,200 RP, it suddenly says that I could not redeem the reward? It is asking me to redeem a lower reward. Today is the first time this thing happened. Kindly advise. Thanks!

I'm not sure yet, a couple of other people have reported the same problem. I've sent the details on to wetsuit and as soon as he gives me an update I'll let everyone know.

I doubt if a lot of people are directly motivated by this, because they cannot see the outcome or the reason for this. It should mention that the more you use the FREE ROLL option, the higher your pay-out will be. Say you use it 10 times a day and you get 25 Sat, then after every 10 times, your payout will be say 1% more for every spin. <Serial Faucet users should get rewarded more>

Already way better than the 1% bonus after 10 that you just asked for.

I guess we have agree on the fact that people (including me) just want this cool, new update already The need for something new is strong here, not only Kprawn and poptok1 are expressing this but majority of freebitcoins users, I presume would appreciate something extra and I don't mean extra money, although it would be nice. I have a strong feeling that wesuit is gonna make reward points as a erc20 token or something very similar. IMO that would be first useful incarnation of erc20 Imagine on site micro-exchange, people trading with each other etc, etc. To be honest, I cant wait for the grand reveal.

First the payout was cut by half and now some users are not able to redeem higher RP rewards. This is getting pathetic and it's looking more and more like some kind of an exit scam or something. I bet you need to deposit more BTC now in order to use REWARD POINTS rewards.
Long time ago it was the best BTC faucet, but not anymore with all those changes that require users to deposit more and more.

Unfortunately, with all the Newbies signing up to whine that we don't give them enough free money, it's easy to miss the important stuff. I'm not too sure how the token is going to work but I think it is going to be linked to the site's profits. This is just a personal opinion but I wish he hadn't announced the rebrand so far in advance.

You do realize that you are almost certainly paying more for electricity than you are earning using a browser miner? There are much, much better ways to make money. Browser mining is just one step away from being faucet tier shit. Why not invest in some decent hardware so you can mine properly, or if you can't afford it, save up your money and pay for a cloud mining account.
