I didn't have 2fa enabled. hackers figured out the password and turned 2fa on your e-mail has replaced the mail. how else can I prove that this is my account? I'm upset that I'm losing referrals.

coinbase.com does not allow to sign messages. if I wasn't the owner of the account, I wouldn't ask to return access to the old mail.

coinbase.com does not allow to sign messages
Please stop back to back posting. You can use the edit button to add to your last post. They must have had access to your email as you cannot turn on 2FA without using the link in the confirmation email. Coinbase is not a wallet it is an exchange. If you didn't use an address which you have the private key for then you cannot sign a message to prove that it is your account. Securing your accounts (and your email) is your responsibility which is why we always recommend everyone uses 2FA.

They cannot have changed the email on your account without clicking the link we would have sent to the original email. That doesn't change that without a signed message you are just a random person asking us to hand an account over to you.

I'm telling you that without a signed message I cannot hand over an account to you. It doesn't matter how many posts you spam this thread with that policy will not change.

Lol, why would a hacker do that. In my eyes, your account was never hacked. Anyway glad you have your account back; change your password and put on 2FA.

None of it makes any sense. If 2FA is not on you need an email confirmation to change the password or withdrawal address, so none of the things he says are possible.

Been following this thread for the past couple of days and I am as baffled as you with his posts. My idea is that there is a language barrier or he might not be really technical with Bitcoin or computers. I had a buddy who assumed the exact same thing. He used Coinbase, and he sent some BTC to his own BTC address on Coinbase and he wanted to get Coinbase to give him a signed message so he could claim the byteball airdrop. And it took forever to explain to him, why Coinbase cannot do that.

I think the basic principle of Signing a message is going over his head. Most users of this site has no idea how to sign a Bitcoin address and you can explain until you are blue in the face. A lot of them are using wallet and exchange services that do not allow for the signing of the addresses, so you will never get a signed address from them. Hope that clears things up.

I understand that bit. The bit I'm having a problem with is how his account could be hacked. they changed the bitcoin address, and steal from me 200k sat.
How could he know that if he didn't still have access to the account? How did someone change the withdrawal address if he didn't acknowledge the confirmation email?

If your email is not hacked, then you should try to forgrt your password and do not let they used it, instead of they keep using your account that is better not to let both of you used it. Because they out 2FA there, unless you can proof it is your account by signing message which is you can't because it is exchange address. May be you should sort this out with coinbase exchange. Before that may be the best thing is change your freebitco.in password

Malwarebytes is blocking access to Freebitco.in on my computer too. It's odd because it was working fine one day, then blocked the next.
They have blocked it because we used to offer browser mining. You can add it to your exceptions list by following the instructions here: Add Web Exclusions for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PremiumJust thought I'd post an update here to say that I think Malwarebytes has resolved this issue. No more error or warning messages popping up even though I've removed the Web Exclusions.

He might have initiated a Password change after they hacked his account and then regained control of his Freebitco.in account or the hacker left the password unchanged and just changed the Bitcoin address to re-direct the funds and then left. I have to say it is a lot of trouble for 200k satoshi. <about $13> Not saying that it did not happen, but I would not go through all that trouble to get my hands on $13. The Mixer fees will absorb most of that money to mix and use those coins.

He might have initiated a Password change after they hacked his account and then regained control of his Freebitco.in account or the hacker left the password unchanged and just changed the Bitcoin address to re-direct the funds and then left.
But changing the withdrawal address needs an email confirmation as well. In short, it is not possible for what they said happened to occur unless the hacker had access to their email account or they clicked the confirmation links themselves. I have to say it is a lot of trouble for 200k satoshi. <about $13> Not saying that it did not happen, but I would not go through all that trouble to get my hands on $13. The Mixer fees will absorb most of that money to mix and use those coins. There are plenty of people that would go to that much trouble for less.
